This is one of the better offerings from The Body Shop and it doesn't smell tacky /cheap. It smells much like Laura Mercier's Neroli fragrance . Neroli is very prominent in this as is the jasmine, living up to its name ' Neroli Jasmine'. I like it but really there is a 'Body Shop' base smell to it that I don't like. The perfume oil is long lasting though soft - there is a little sillage from this scent but I find this frageance irritating after a while primarily due to the Body Shop base smell that's always there. Between this and LM Neroli , I am afraid I will go for the Laura Mercier fragrance. In other words ... " you get what you pay for. "
I love this and the fact that it is not so expensive is great. Well done Gap ! Great smell ,love the bergamot too.
So disappointed this is a generic sugary sweet cloying scent. Nice packaking ,shame about what's inside. Will suit a teenager ,young young woman .
Despite the fact that I don't like the bottle , I do think this is a good unusual fragracne. It's not very expensive compared some scents . I really dislike fragrance bottles that try to be too clever and this is one of them. However, I love the scent.
LM perfumes are not very distinctive to me ,my humble opinion only - and I know many people like her fragrances. Like beautyqueeny- I became bored of this .
I like this. There's nothing too special about it- -it's an inoffensive vanilla perfume wich turns very skin delicious . I would buy this again for everyday wear .
Gorgeous Chypre classic scent - beautifully iris powder too. I adore this- it's pure class.
Overly sweet, generic stereotypical New Millenium fragrance targeted specifically at a certain age group. Horrid. Disappointing .
A 'nice' fresh green unisex scent which smells expensive . I like it but not enough to buy it. Good packaging though.
This is nothing special in my humble opinion. I just get roses from it .Eau De Soir is superior , I think .
I do like tihs fragrance but I find it is very similar to Miss Dior. The difference being that Eau De Soir has more spice on top of the chypre notes. It is definitely a strong scent and a couple of sprays suffice ! It is also expensive but it does not jump out at me as being original .EDIT : Upgraded to 5 lippies. I bought this ! I find I like it better than Miss Dior - it has more depth and lasting power. EDIT again : I have identified what is special about this fragrance for me after wearing it for several days - Yes, there is a similarity to Miss Dior- both being chypres- they both seem to open the same way but what I adore about this scent are the heart notes and the long lasting dry down which I am sure has clove or / and mint in it- it gives it a deliciousness and 'sniffablility ' that is quite unique.
I said I would not buy this perfume but I am not entirely sure. It's a strange one. I tested this at my local store. It remains for a long time just like the smell of......... steaming white rice ! I normally love neroli as an accord but I admit I don't get this . Saying that, it has morphed beautifully into a deepish floral fragrance - non generic which is refreshing . It took a couple of hours to get there . I'm still thinking this one over !
This is a dramatic stronger type fragrance which is surprisingly lovely - the name is plain compared to the juice. I tested this at the mall . As much as I like it, I don't like it enough to buy it.
This is a good quiet fragrance and although I like it- it smells an awful like L'Heure Bleue which I adore. So I cannot give this 5 stars because the composition is not very original to me - the neroli , iris - is very guerlain . Saying that, it is a good subsitute for l'Heure Bleue EDT/EDP which is getting harder to find in the US . I also get hints of vetiver which I am sure is not in this fragrance - it's probably the earthy iris doing that. A good buy for lovers of Guerlain and for those who like lighter type scents. Don't expect this juice to last for long on your skin - spray and spray away ,ladies ! EDIT : this fragrance does have vetiver in it . After the initial L'Heure Bleue stage , comes stage 2 - Guerlain's Vetiver ! EDIT again : my fascination with this fragrance led me to buy the bath/shower gel and the body lotion as well as the EDP. The shower gel smells exactly like the scent - it's quite strong .The body lotion is incredibly 'carroty' though. I guess it's those iris roots coming through !
Youth Dew is a vintage ,classic ,heady strong perfume with its own personality - for those who appreciate different accords , I guess this comes with age and testing many different fragrances. Musty - it is not, grandma like - it is not . I love Youth Dew - it is phenomenal and I love all the accords even the patchouli in it even though I dislike patchouli greatly. It's warm, only slightly spicy on me. It's more a deep oriental powdery floral perfume with a touch of chypre on my skin . I know people say it is too strong but i think it depends on whether your skin' eats' perfume like mine does. I can use 5 sprays without causing the room to clear ! I will never say this is for old ladies - that's just insulting for everyone. It's just a matter of taste !
