Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears
thefairestlady1012 5/6/2007 2:03:00 PM
I do not actually own this perfume, but I have smelled it in a tester. This is a very sweet and sugary fragrance that is surprisingly not overpoweringly little-girlish and is very sophisticated. The packaging is a roundish bright hot pink bottle that is very fun and cute. The fragrance is marketed as being citrusy and fruity chocolate and vanilla musk, Very yummy. I am interested in purchasing this.
If on the "would you buy this product again" column in the review I could have picked "maybe", I would have. I naturally have very long, thick naturally blonde hair that has not yet been color-treated or chemically processed. I really didn't technically need the fuller and thicker and more volumized hair that this product promises, but I wanted to enhance and emphasize my hair's inborn thickness and volume. Pantene all in all is a great brand in my opinion even though some would clamorously agree and disagree. I like the smell of this product kinda like florals and fruits mixed with lemonade, apple juice, and champagne. Wierd, I know, but it's really good. This 2n1 dried my hair and scalp out a tad. (maybe I need to have separate shampoos and conditioners, as I am doing now). I probably would not repurchase this not because its a bad product with poor results, price, packaging, ingredients, or scent, but because I've founf my HG brand of shampoo and conditioner: Finesse Moisturizing, (for details see my reviews if yo're interested.
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stylist Mascara ] [DISCONTINUED]
thefairestlady1012 5/3/2007 10:19:00 PM
I liked this one okay and know many people who use this is as their HG mascara, however, This really made my lashes feel to slick (almost goopy or gloppy in places) and really clumped them together. Maybelline's eye makeup products and in particular their mascaras have a tendency to leave my eyes watery and itchy; I do not have sensitive eyes at all usually. This comes in a variety of rich, pigmented, and glossy shades ranging from the classic brown, dark brown, black brown, charcoal, black, and very black to the wild and colorful navy blue, dark green, and vibrant purple/burgandy. Good shade selection and price, but poor packaging and formula for me. I would not repurchase this one.
As I've mentioned in a few other of my reviews, I adore Sally Hansen nail products in general; their formulas are nourishing to the nails, come in a wide range of colors and finishes, last quite a long time on the nails, colors can even be combined together, they are affordable and are becoming more popular in more stores. The color of Pink Promises is a pearly, glittery sheer pale pink. This color looks great on the nails alone (with one or several coats to build up and enhance the color) or combined underneath with other pink shades to add some sparkle to the nails'. What is unique about Sally Hansen's sparkly and glittery polishes is that they are pigmented and have a smooth texture, not gritty. I would repurchase.
I am writing this review on behalf of my sister and several friends who have tried Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara. Apparently, this product is definately not for those with glasses, contacts, or sensitive eyes because everyone who I know who has tried this one has complained of red, swollen, watery, and itchy eyes. I think that the packaging is ugly too; it cheap and totally 80s. If have also heard that this product really does not do anything for the lashes, minimal color, definition and separation and little to no length, curve, lift, curl, volume, or thickness at all. I repeat I have not tried this personally, but I trust my family and friends and the majority of this product's reviews on MUA. I guess the only really positive aspect to this product is the fact that's cheap. But really, is all the alleged irritation, ugliness and uncuteness of packaging, and ineffectivness of product really even worth the $3 you pay for it. Really, there are many more better quaility mascaras out there more expensive than this, yes but also around the same price and even cheaper.
I am not exactly sure if I'm reviewing the right product(s) or not, but let me just say, I love Sally Hansen's base coats and topcoats. I use these products even when I am not using a colored nail polish to keep my nails hard, strong, shiny, and long. These products are extremely longlasting both on the nails and in their quantities. They are affordable and highly effective and available. Great products and I am eager to try their "nail-growing" product
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Color

I love these nailpolishes. The colors range from clears, to pretty, pastels, classic neutrals, wild and fun brights, funky blues and greens, to the deep and dramatic blood reds, plums, and edgy blacks and whites. I have a variety of these Diamond Strength polishes and many Sally Hansen nail polishes and nail care items in general. Their products wear along time, come in traditional, easy-to-use packaging. I am eager to try OPI, Orly, and Essie Nail polishes, but these will always be favorites (and repurchases) for me.
Lipstick -Lancome - Color design lipstick in curtain call

Great color for all times, ages, personalities, events, and skintones. A sheer berry, wine-red color that is truly classic and chic. This color is fun and modern with a slight shimmer to it (no glitter), but can stand the test of age and time without any trouble. Packaging is signature Lancome, sleek and chic black tube with a color swatch on the bottom (surprsingly enough their beautiful rose emblem is not featured on any of their lipsticks, oh well! It's still gorgerous! Simple, modest, timeless, and elegant. Another favorite of mine (although all of my eyeshadows and lipcolors and frgrances I've bothered to review here are my HG's!)
I know this may sound a little juvenile, but this is one of my favorite lip colors, a sheer brown-based shiny red. I use this under red lipsticks when I want to tone them down a little or on its own, and it looks great in both cases. This is so moisturizing and cheap. This is truly a beauty bargain and a classic staple color in every since. The smell and taste are that of my favorite soda and its namesake, Dr. Pepper, making the product and packaging even better and yummier than ever. A great value and a definate rebuy for me once more.
I love this mosaic of pink blush shades. When combined all together they give such a fresh, dewy, and glowy look to my porcelain skin. Naturtal-looking pinky shades are good for my coloring and this is no exception. This really brightens and highlights my VERY fair complexion I would certainly repurchase.
This product was not bad, yet not great either. I liked the color of Honey shimmer a lot a neutral/warm golden color with a subtle golden sparkle as one would assoicate with the sun. I found the packaging to be both cute and functional and the tingle to be refreshing and cooling. This, however, creases like crazy and makes the eye area feel sticky and matted. I would not repurchase.
I liked this mascara okay. It's a decent thickening/volumzing mascara I suppose, but I've always preferred long and curvy lashes to thick ones. The mascara coats the lashes with a deep black color and is a good price, but there are mascaras I like so much better such as Lancome flextencils and Cover girl lash exact.
This is my favorite drugstore mascara. I buy the Very Black shade that is a deep, rich and pigmented shiny black. This mascara curves, defines, lengthens, and separartes my lashes with no clumping, flaking, smudging, or smearing. Even though I did not buy the waterproof version; the product stayed on my lashes all day even through wet conditions. I would most certainly buy this again, especially if they somehow discontinue my all-time favorite mascara, Lancome Flextencils.
Lipstick -Lancome - Color design lipstick in all done-up

This is a very special color in my opinion a fun yet wearably chio bright fucshia pink with a creamy finish. This color may not be for everyone, but on me it's great. Another rave product from Lancome for me.
Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - Moisture Shine Gloss in Fizz
thefairestlady1012 4/29/2007 8:22:00 PM
I love this sheer peach gloss that is not sticky or tacky but oh-so hydrating. This color looks awesome overtop the Lip Boost in Petal lipstick and the Moistureshine ligloss in Groove. The effect is a natural looking peacy-pink-reddish tint that looks quite similar to the tint end of Stila's Crimson Bloom These are quite appropriate for and would look good on just about everyone. The texture, formulation, colors, price, and availabilty of Neutrogena makeup products are awesome. Another favorite product for me. And yes, I would repurchase again and again. UPDATE: This might actually be an alternative to MAC Lipglass in Prrr. It has the same dewy, natural-looking peach color with a hint of pink and the same frosty, goldish undertone. If you're a Prrr fan and are looking to save yourself some money, try this. You'll like it even if it doesn;t satisfy your Prrr craving, it is from the same color family , so it would still be a good shade for you. But I think it looks almost EXACTLY like Prrr (just at a better price, that is).
