Lipstick -Aveda - lip color cocentrate in taproot

I had the same results as the other reviewer. This Taproot lipstick is extremely drying. I cannot wear it. I had better luck with Sheer Papaya.

Moisturizers -Aveda - Tourmaline Charged Protecting Lotion SPF 15 Oil-Free
trixiefaux 2/16/2007 11:05:00 PM
I've just bought this for the third time. I find that daytime moisturizer makes all the difference with how my mineral powder foundation looks throughout the day. This one is nice and light. It soaks right into my skin and my skin stays matte. It smells nice too. It's $38.50 for 2.5 oz, not bad.

Eyeliner -Lola Cosmetics - Eye Pencil in Mustang Brown

I didn't like this pencil. It goes on very light and then it smudges and wears off way too fast. Love the lipsticks though.

Lipstick -Lola Cosmetics - Lip Creme-Penelope
trixiefaux 2/14/2007 9:01:00 AM
Great lipstick. Smooth, creamy, long lasting. The color Penelope is pretty for day or night. Can't wait to try more lipsticks from this line. I wasn't crazy about the Lola eyeliner pencil I tried, but the lipstick is a definite keeper!

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
trixiefaux 2/14/2007 8:55:00 AM
In my search for the perfect mineral foundation, I have tried Jane Iredale, Amazing Cosmetics, Alima, Mineral Fusion and Everyday Minerals. I have finally found "the one" with Everyday Minerals Semi-Matte formula in Fairly Light (warm). When I first got my free samples I tried three different shades of the Intensive formula. All of them looked awful on my skin. I nearly swore off Everyday Minerals altogether. I am so glad I tried the Semi-Matte. It works so much better with my (normal/combo) skin. There is coverage, but it's not cakey or chalky or pore enlarging or weird in any way. It does what it's supposed to -- smooths out my complexion in a natural looking way and is long lasting. The price is also nice. If you've tried intensive and didn't like it, give this a try.

Conditioner -Leonor Greyl - Condition Naturelle
trixiefaux 9/17/2006 7:00:00 PM
This is a spray-on leave-in conditioner. The bottle says: "Particularly recommended for thin limp devitalized and damaged hair. Gives volume and bounce and naturally maintains style. Untangles and prevents from heat styling damage." I've got to say that although I prefer in-the-shower conditioners to spray-ons, when I do use this, my hair comes out looking pretty cool. It lends definition to my fine color-treated hair, and makes the highlights stand out. I like it, but it is expensive for a 150ml, 5.2oz bottle.

Lip Gloss -Mavala - Lip Gloss 06 Sunshine
trixiefaux 6/24/2006 4:33:00 PM
I will buy this again if I get the opportunity. I bought it on a whim on a recent trip to France. The color looks like a bright sparkly orange-red in the tube. It goes on a little more subtly but is highly pigmented for a gloss, which I like. It goes on smoothly, has a really nice smell, a nice texture, has staying power and it's just really pretty. I love it. I wish I bought two because I don't think you can find it in the states. Can you?

Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin
trixiefaux 6/24/2006 4:27:00 PM
HG cleanser. I love the packaging and I love how sudsy it gets. I wasn't expecting that with a gel. Perfect for my combo/normal skin. My face becomes clean and soft without drying out.

Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Moisturizer [REFORMULATED]
trixiefaux 6/24/2006 4:15:00 PM
I've tried many TMs (MAC, Aveda, Lancome, Dr. Dennis Gross, Dermalogica, and more). I love the idea of tinted moisturizers, especially ones with SPF. But each of the ones I've tried has its drawbacks. They are either too sheer or too sticky or they sit in the pores or change color or settle into fine lines. I'm only saying all this because I the only fault I can find with the Bobbi Brown TM is the price. It's not cheap, but it's the greatest TM for my skin. For reference, I have normal/combo skin. I am fair with slight yellow undertones and the Extra Light shade is a perfect match. It is creamy and very easy to apply. I will have to buy again.

Shampoo -Ojon - Shine and Protect
trixiefaux 5/24/2006 11:39:00 PM
I bought this on a Sephora salesperson's recommendation. I was looking for something that would add shine and life to my color treated, fine, straight hair. I bought this and the matching conditioner and have been using them together. The first day I tried it, it rained and my hair looked terrible all day. BUT, since then, it's been doing a nice job of smoothing out my dried ends. My hair looks healthier. The scent is unique, but not strong or perfumy. It appeals to me.

Eyeliner -MAC - Buried Treasure Powerpoint
trixiefaux 5/21/2006 7:40:00 PM
It's the greatest. I bought this because I loved my Bountiful Brown Powerpoint so much. Now I love this one more. Everything you want in an eyeliner: -precise application, -beautiful unique color, like black only softer/less harsh, -long lasting, through napping, all day color. Just get it.

Liquid -NARS - Oilfree foundation
trixiefaux 2/12/2006 11:26:00 PM
This is one of the best liquid foundations I've tried, although I use TM more often. Aside from liking the color Deauville, it blends very easily over the two different spf moisturizers I've tried it with. I've applied it with a foundation brush and with fingers, the latter being the fastest and easiest. It goes on very smooth. Finally, the next great thing for my combo skin -- the oily t-zone shines come much later in the day than with other foundations. I wish it weren't so pricey, but in this case I believe you get what you pay for. I will repurchase.

Eyeliner -Sue Devitt - Gold Reef
trixiefaux 2/11/2006 11:24:00 PM
I'm really glad I tried this --thanks to the other reviews here. The larger size nearly stopped me, but I loved the color and I had to see for myself whether it was really long lasting or not because I'm tired of eyeliner that wears off or smudges during the day. I don't have much time at work to keep touching up my makeup. Putting it on did feel odd at first because I'm used to regular sized pencils, but the end result is gorgeous. The color is beautiful, it's easy to apply, and it actually did stay put all day long. Now I must try some of the other colors...but I love this one. This will be a daily eyeliner for me. I don't mind getting used to the chubby pencil, it's worth it. I went ahead and bought the $10 Sue Devitt sharpener with it. UPDATE: still like this eyeliner, but I use my new MAC Powerpoints more. They are just as long lasting, but in the thinner pencil which is easier to apply.
