Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

I need a medium to full coverage foundation recently due to my monthly breakouts and stress. But I don't want to spend over $40 for a liquid foundation for occassional use. Therefore, after research on makeupalley.com, I come up with the idea to try this product and it is only $7 Canadian on sales, doesn't hurt to give it a try. I end up loving tis foundation for varies reasons. 1. the foundation is in a tube which means I can use up every single bit of the product with no wastage and the package makes travel friendly too. 2. Color matching is perfect. I am NC 25 and I 've bought True Ivory, the second lightest shade. I may want to try one shade darker in the Summer time and all shades look realistic to me 3. It is hydrating but also long lasting. Since hydrating foundation has more slip than regular long last foundation, it usually run even with primer and powder, consider my skin is combination and extremely oily on my nose, just my nose area. But this foundation is truly long lasting but not drying at all 4. It covers really really really well, perfect my skin but still looks dimensional and natural. 5. Inexpensive, way cheaper than regular drug store foundation and excedding department store's quality. However, I only recommend this foundation thowho have normal to dry to dry skin typed. As I have mentioned before, it is hydrating and I need to use powder to keep the foundation in place. However with powder on top, it foundation really gives a long lasting finish that up to ten plus hours with one blotting. I think it is worthy to try. Edit: it is still good for occassional use whenever I need a full coverage foundation. However, it is quite sticky and I don't think it could be a HG for everyday use, unless for those who need full coverage everyday and dry skin. Edit: too think

Cleansers -Cerave - Hydrating Cleanser

This is an excellent cleanser. I use it daily to remove my foundation and powder. I have combination but acne prone skin. I first remove my water proof mascara with Clinique take it away eye makeup remover. Then I apply Cerave on my dry skin, massge in circular motion for a minute. Then splash water on my face to remove the residual. After all, I use a foaming cleaner since I love to feel squeaky clean. On the day that I have makeup on, I always clean with two steps procedures but usually I spend my money on Clarins cleansing milk or Boots cleansing wipes. However after I discover this product, I keep using it for 6 months now and the result is better and cost way less. For people that have dry skin and minimum makeup, this is also highly recommded because it is very gentle (mo SLS) but way better than Cetaphil. One thing to note: the instruction on the bottle is misleading, pls don't wet your face first before you clean, otherwise, the cleansing power is way worse and end up not may not able to remove your makeup completely.

I am very picky about my foundation; this is my first time trying drug store foundation after trying all high ends, including Guerlain, Chanel, Lauder, Dior, Laura Mercier, Clinique, Smashbox, Cover FX, Shiseido, CDP, Nars, Makeup Forever, Clarins, YSL, Bobbie Brown, Aveda etc, I think Almay Smart Shade is decent and comparable to average quality of department store foundation. Pros: feel weightless on skin Has SPF 15 Sheercoverage No smell Oil free but blendable and non-drying Matching my NC 25 skin tone without turing orange Cons: Not enough coverage if you are looking for medium to full coverage Dont like rubbing the foundation on my skin Don't belive in self- adjusting technology so if you are fair or very fair, may end up not matching your skin tone. Expensive among drug store foundation Average packaging. Other bonus: I bought this with the concealer as a pack for $18. I have my other foundations at home when I need to perfect my skin for special occassion. However for regular days at work and school, this is a decent product if you don't want to layer SPF underneath.

Concealers -Chanel - Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer

I love ths concealer. This is one of my favourite and comparble to cle de peau. I use it around my eyes since it is hydrate enough. I use the lightest color for my light skin tone. I esp like the fact that I can touch up with this product on top of my powder. However, if the shade is slightly darker, it could be perfect and replace my CDP.

I thought it could be the best primer for me since I love Chanel conceler and its Aqua foundation. However, I am very disappointed because it is way too white for my light skin tone. Unless u are very pale, otherwise, not recommend.

This is a average foundation. I have more than 30 foundations at home; Guerlain Extreme #1, Guerlain Aqua #2, Laura Mercier oil free (warm ivory), Armani #5 etc etc. From drug store to high end, I think this could be above to average. Perfect shade for me, not too matte, not too dewy, not dried up my skin, long wear with powder, nice package (easy travel) n easy to blend. I am using B20 n it is the best match ever. I am a bit worry about the foundation will become too rich in the summer. Wish it is able to stay put in the summer with my primer n Smashbox anti -shine. it provides sheer to medium coverage. For days that my skin have no breakout, I can use this foundation with no problem> Otherwise, I will use MAC prolong wear concealer or CDP concealer to perfect my skin.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Naturals - Purifying Facial Cleanser

The cleanser itself is not bad; it cleans well, easy to rinse, little bit goes a long way. It is more suitable for those who have oily skin. However, the scent is overpowering, too stong that makes me have a headache.

When I first bought this product, I really wanted to refund right away; it looked too red on my hand, consider I am a Chinese with natural dark hair, I don't want red eyebrows. But I still gave it a try, because I have been looking for a tinted brow wax forever and I finally compromise to Benefits. I am glad that I did, because it doesn't look too red on my brow. The wax makes my brows stay groomed and the the color is very natural; I have full eyebrows and I dont want darker shade to deepen my brows. Also the light powder in the compact is a great eyeshadow (with Benefits high brow) for the days that I want nude, natural makeup. The tools in the compact is useless; the tweenzer is too sharp and too small, the brushes are too small to grasp. I apply the waxy powder with an eye brow brush. The tutorial in the Benfits wesbite is totally not helping; if you follow her tutorial, you will end up having two thick eyebrows that look unnatural and too thick. I deduct one mark because the wax is still a bit too red for me, but most people won't notice esp if your makeup is more tend to be warm tone. I still think this is the best eye brow product. Good Job Benefit.

I love this product for a few reasons: 1. it is not sticky but still feel rich and moisturizing. 2. it smells fine. 3. no parben 4. inexpensive. 5. when i washed my hands, I didn't feel the residue on my hands, which indictates that the product absorbs into my skin really well. I love this plain hand cream more than other expensive ones in the market. I 've gotten mine where there is buy one get 1 free promotion. Love it if it smells less than it is.

Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser

I love this cleanser. I cannot believe I will say this coz my HG was Cle de Peau; I thought I need to spend $65 for a cleanser forever in my life until I meet this one. The reason I try this cleanser is: I find that this cleanser is very similar to Cle de Peau gentle foaming cleanser, minus the parben and frag. The only difference is: this cleanser stinks my eyes IF I am not careful enough. But it only stinks my eyes on my first way, after that, I am fine. Also, the lid is kind of chessy; seems like eas to break. However, the cleanser itself is very gentle, but still takes off makeup really really well. Since, it is a foam, I still don't recommend people with dry skin using it. I have normal to dry but acne prone skin. My skin loves it and feel so smooth afterwards. $23 cannot go wrong.

I like this blush. When the day I don't want to use bronzer and want to look a bit tan, this is the blush that I will swept on. The tan rosy color really makes me look like staying outdoor for a while, very convincing. However, I dislike the bulky packaging; the paper box looks old very fast and I prefer the lid attach to the box instead. However, this is not my HG and I don't use it very day. Sometimes, if I put too much, I look muddy. Consider I have light Asian skintone, looking muddy makes me look like yellowish. I prefer Belle Bambie from Benefits way more.

Blush -MAC - Satin Blush - Well Dressed

I hate that I am the odd one write negative review about this blush. The soft baby pink looks really promising in the pan. However, it appears to look extremely sheer and too shimmery. I only see the shimmer but not the pink color, no matter how many time I swept on my face. I am very disappointed. I am MAC NC 25, Asian light skin tone. Usually, I have luck with blush, such as Nars, Clinique, Benefits. I love Nars and like Benefits (just dislike the bulky package, otherwise I love Benefits too). I hate returning products and usually I don't. But this well dressed cannot even show on my face, why bother?

Oily, not lightweight as it claims. Make my face look like disco ball without any coverage. Smell nice but not my major reason to buy it again. Want to return but lost my receipt. I have normal to dry skin prone to acne.

My favourite eyeshadow ever. I have been used for a week; have not thought about switching back to my high ended eyeshadow yet. Better than my old favourite Dior and Nars. Better than Mac, Guerlain, Lauder, Lancome, Clinque and Chanel. Smooth and pigmented. Guess if people have tried their eyeshadow, why would u want to go back to the high ended ones

Love it and take with me when I go travel. I doesnt stink my eyes like Equate wipes and the packaging is able to keep the wipes moist. I always buy a few whenever it is on sales for $8.
