Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silkygirl Blush in 01 Nectar Blush
lilasgirl 2/2/2011 7:42:00 AM
Nectar Blush is peachy pink and as mentioned below, it is very pigmented, so do go light handed. I am rather surprised by its lasting power. Not bad for a drugstore brand. Can last more than 4 hrs. Only downside is that the swatch selection is VERY limited and nectar blush can be a tad too dark for the fair skinned and the other swatches are also rather dark. Would repurchase if new lighter and more subtle swatches are introduced. I am a Shu Uemura M Pink 30. (for reference) :D
Mascara -Unlisted Brand - Silkygirl Double Intense Waterproof Mascara
lilasgirl 2/2/2011 7:25:00 AM
I have always taken a fancy for Silkygirl products due to the good reviews and cheap price. Double Intense Mascara didn't disappoint me, neither did it delight me intensely. It was a good product but still it doesn't solve the common mascara problems such as clumping (but it is relatively good such that clumping is minimised to a great extent). The mascara is waterproof as stated and doesn't weigh down throughout the day so that keeps me rather contented. But I would definitely try out more mascaras. Not bad for a starter mascara or just a normal one to open your eyes :)
Polishes -TheFACEShop - Nail Talk Polish (All Colors)

What I've Got: PP408 (black top cover, purple (lighter purple) ) PROS: Applies smoothly, dries quickly. Nice colour. CONS: Not very outstanding. It is rather good for its price but colour doesn't pop. If you like subtle colours, this may be the one for you.
What I've Got: M Pink 30 PROS: doesn't show pores, glides on face very smoothly, very pigmented so a sweep of the brush from the palette will do. no break outs on my combination skin. rather blendable. Colour is lovely. CONS: expensive. doesn't last long (give it 3 hours tops, and wearing power drops as product stays in the shelf for some time). case is prone to breakages. but the biggest con would have to be the lack of a brush! it is very inconvenient to carry this blusher around without a better functioning compact case! (no mirror, no brush! oh no...) I would experiment with more blushers but by far the best blusher in my stash.
PROS: Cleanses skin without drying it and it does remove makeup that ain't too thick. CONS: a lil' pricey.. not bad for a multi cleanser!
PROS: Cleanses skin without drying it! Removes traces of makeup leftover after using your makeup remover. Skin feels softer and cleaner without that squeaky tight feeling. CONS: A tad too expensive. But worth the investment if you are looking for a good cleanser that keeps skin supple and fresh :)
Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Lipstick- Bois De Rose
lilasgirl 2/2/2011 6:32:00 AM
PROS: creamy texture, moisturising, lasts reasonably well but colour isn't very obvious on lips to begin with CONS: subtle pink, more dark rosy than radiant red rosy. can add to the ages. expensive!!
What I've got: FLUSH PROS: Nice packaging, mirror inclusive (though it gets fogged up often), very compact, Flush is prob the most mainstream colour (the others are either too dramatic or too dark for my skintone). Relatively inexpensive. CONS: Not as outstanding as its packaging. NEUTRAL: Lasting power is neutral. I give it 3-4 hrs tops.
Foundations -Clinique - Clinique Perfectly Real Radiant Skin Compact Makeup
lilasgirl 2/2/2011 6:00:00 AM
What I've Got: 02 rose beige PROS: Doesn't oxidise on my oily spots. Hence, colour stays! This is the first foundation I've used that doesn't oxidise!! Very light-weighted, feels almost makeup-less! CONS: Doesn't conceal redness, blemishes, spots, dark eye circles or even slight pimples. It really is very very light-weighted, so if you are acne faced, it is best that you have another concealer on hand to cover those spots :) NEUTRAL: It has a tinge of pinkness in the foundation hence giving your face some colour :) I am still rather neutral towards this product. Would like to try more foundations. But it is the best I've had so far! :D
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Watsons Hair Beer Wax
lilasgirl 6/13/2010 4:19:00 AM
PROS: smells wonderful helps to volumise hair dirt cheap! CONS: needs a generous helping (hence, it is used up rather quickly) doesn't help to detangle hair although it is supposedly also a conditioner.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Watsons Eyelash Curler

Have the Watsons Electric Eyelash Curler. It isn't very hot, but curls eyelashes neatly and easily. Dirt cheap and cute pink packaging! :)
Had this in: 30 Honey Biege 202 Cubic Orange 301 True Pink 07 Pink Jelly 46 Purple Berry My fave is 301 True Pink. All rouges last long :) However, I won't buy it again, cos lipsticks are meant to be experimented! Gotta try new brands and shades!
Had this in: Spangle Purple PROS: Nice packaging, comes with a mirror! Stays on my oily lids all day without smudging! The colour isn't overpowering nor nonexistent! Pigmented!! CONS: slightly expensive for just one colour, but worth the investment!
Had this in : Dark Brown PROS: Colour wise, it looks great Blends well Am able to draw a fine line with this CONS: SMUDGE SMUDGE SMUDGE Causes my eyes to tear when it smudges
This is a Korean Brand Eyebrow Pencil. Comes with a brush as well. The colour is natural, however, it feels too chemical on my eyebrows and caused me to break out!
