Great news lovers of Angel Kiss!!! I sent this to 3 Custom Color to duplicate and they did an AWESOME job! I ordered it in a pot - I'm wishing I'd ordered it as a tube, but I will do so in the future. At last I have my beloved Angel Kiss back again - and no more maddening losing color to the pencil sharpener. Go check it out ladies!
Treatments -L'Oreal - Professionnel Serie Expert intense repair Masque

I was surprised to read that some find this too greasy. It does say to rinse it out carefully, and you really do need to rinse it out thoroughly. I actually use it ON my scalp, to treat my dandruff - I rub it in and brush my hair fairly vigorously, then leave in on for 10 minutes. Then rinse, and shampoo with the intense repair cuti liss system shampoo. Then I apply the conditioner again and leave on for an additional 2 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. I've been very pleased, as before I've always been plagued by an oily itchy flaky scalp and dry hair, and now it is much more balanced and I can go up to 3 days without washing my hair and my scalp doesn't get that 'sick' smell it used to. Then again, my hair dresser says that I have the hair that everyone wants, but doesn't have - thick, full and tons of body. Perhaps those with fine hair would find it too greasy. But this entire line is now my HG.
I am really loving this little palette! I'm really surprised with how much I like the lip glosses! I'm not normally much a gloss person, but these are top notch in my opinion. They add a nice fullness and natural glow. The blush does the same. I am an NC25 btw, and I don't find the blush too light at all. I have also tried two of the eyeshadow duos and have loved both, the pink and blue being my favorite. It really brightens my blue/green eyes without looking gaudy in the least bit. I may have to stock up on this palette...
Goodness, just dug this one out of my drawer. I had it in my purse 2 years ago and my daughter went to town on it, so I was somewhat off-put I think from having to clean this lovely expensive lipstick off of the windows and car seat. But now she is almost 5, I guess I can haul it out again, and I am sooo glad I did. A fool-proof gorgeous nuddie - I have lips that usually need lip liner, yadda yadda. This is EASY. I smudged it on with my finger and used his lip liner (STAPLE for me) and it looks fabulous. Doesn't come off horrendously on my wine glass, yet I have a good smooth coat on. Matches spectacularly with his lip liner. I am a medium beige tone with hazel eyes and dark blond hair with relatively thin lips unless I smile. This looks great with our without the smile - something that is hard for me to achieve. Oh Kevyn, how I wish you were still with us...
I am on my second pot of this. I added some SPF to the first and wore it constantly. I have a new pot now, and I just keep coming back to it! Reasons why I love it: It flatters my light olive skin, it makes my teeth look white, and makes my lips look fuller with no fuss with liners or anything else. AND it is as moisturizing as all heck. Yeah, it is sticky, but guess what: Anything that is going to last as long and be as moisturizing is going to be sticky. I also used up a pot of Butterfield which is lovely, but not as lovely to me as Sweet Charity. I think with my light olive tones and absolutely neutral dark blond hair, I find it difficult to find shades that flatter me. Or maybe I am just nuts. ;)
I've done it again! Bought a lipstick that looked pretty in the tube, and awful on me. I am a light olive medium complexion and this doesn't even show up on me except to look like I have on some cheap lip gloss that has almost faded off. If I work like crazy (blotting, reapplying etc) I can get the color to come through and even then it is only just an 'OK' color. I've been looking like crazy for a warm buff and this isn't it for me.
Lipstick -Revlon - Matte lipstick in Mauve It Over
caseyfa 2/6/2009 10:33:00 AM
Hmmm....I have to say this is the most moisturizing matte formula I have ever used. And it glides on very smoothly. Makes me slightly miffed that I just spent $25/lip pencil for the NARS matte lip pencils. But not that miffed, because this color is really sort of blah. It makes my teeth look a bit more yellow and mauves are supposed to be purplish which is in the blue family and makes teeth look whiter. What were they thinking when they named this?? Pink-ish nude-ish is my take. Most likely not one that I will reach for often, except if I want to really do my eyes up. Having said that, the formula really is great. I hope they manage to spruce up the color line a bit though...!
This is a perfectly nice plum shade. It does take a few layers on your lids if you like your eyeshadow to really show itself. It compliments green/blue eyes very nicely - I wear it with a matte gray in the crease. This is a color for those who prefer a natural look, or who's coloring is on the lighter side IMHO.
I love this color. The previous reviewer described the color very well - it's lovely and very versatile. And I can just dash it on without worrying about lip liner, for some reason I don't need any to get a nice full lip. Something about the complicated shade and the color pay-off. I see on the Estee Lauder website, but the color swatch is awful and nothing like the real color.
I agree with a previous poster that if you have keratosis pilaris, retin-A will VANQUISH it. Unfortunately, it is too expensive to use on every area of the body where KP is an issue, but I also use the full strength cream every 2 weeks or so to keep my arms clear. It also cleared up the scarring I had from picking - I'm no longer afraid to wear sleeveless shirts in the summer. Ladies, for KP on the buttocks and thighs, I have found this regimen works wonders: Wear one of those neoprene weight loss shorts to bed. The overnight marinating in moisture makes my bottom and thighs smooth overnight and it doesn't seem to make a difference what moisturizer I use, although lately I am addicted to Bio-Oil.
Lipstick -NARS - Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita
caseyfa 2/1/2009 8:37:00 PM
I really like this formula, and I definitely prefer this Dolce Vita over the lipstick version. That surprised me, I wasn't even going to try it in the pencil version. I've always liked the chubbie stick idea, and this are lovely. Matte yet not drying and decent lasting power.
Just for fun, while daughter was in bath, I swiped it on my lips. I'm not certain that is a color I will wear 'as is'. Not that it isn't absolutely stunning, but it is so THERE. Later that night, I took a shower, washed my face and went to be thinking nothing of it. This morning my lips have the most gorgeous pinkish red tint! I'm going to have to figure out how to apply this very very sparingly if I want to wear it (unless I become a cocktail waitress or attend the Grammies some day - ha!). Probably just dab it on with my fingers. I'm a conservative gal - I'm sure other gals can carry it off without a hitch.
Lipstick -Lauren Hutton - Aqua Elements Aqua Plump Lipstick #1
caseyfa 1/9/2009 12:16:00 PM
Best ever color. Does make my lips look plump and they feel well moisturized. I have it in #1 - brightens my skin tone (light olive), enhances my eyes.... LOVE LOVE AND ladies, you can now buy it on it's own. Yahoo! http://www.laurenhutton.com/aqua-elements-lip-elements.html
This is one of those makeups that I bought and then set aside, the color being too light for my then overexposed skin. I currently have it in Dusk. I grabbed it on a whim and was very pleased and surprised with the results! Especially since it is a cool tone (I am guessing by the 2C1 under the color name on the bottle). It made my skin look almost flawless in a very natural way - and it blends perfectly with my light olive skin!! It gives a much more natural look than Merle Norman, which I had previously been using. MUCH. I am eying one of their neutral toned colors - I guess I should just get myself to a department store to try them on. BTW, even though (and maybe because) I am olive, anything yellow toned just looks horrible. So I am thrilled to have so many neutral shades to pick from. And apparently cool ones too!!!
