These are just awesome. They are a very moisturizin, sheer, tinted balm that makes your lips looks soft and shiny. They also smell very nice and leave your lips feeling amazing. After much deliberation on a colour choice I finally went with Bahamas, which is a nice, sheer pinky mauve. I will be getting more in the future and have my eye on a couple other colours.
Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Dermaglow perfect primer

Dermaglow is probably one of the best things to ever come out of Canada. This primer is no exception. It is $40 so it is relatively pricey, as are most of their products but it works amazingly well. Makes your skin a beautifully smooth, flawless canvas for your makeup. This makes my makeup look good all day long and my cream to powder makeup applies like a dream over top of this. No breakouts whatsoever. I recommend this to people all the time.
Conditioner -John Frieda - Sheer Blonde Moisturizing Conditioner

The best thing about this stuff is the smell! I don't know if it's chamomile or what but it's unique and quite lovely. I find that it moisturizes my fine, damaged blonde hair quite well and leaves the colour looking nice and blonde, not brassy. I have found really nothing wrong with this conditioner so I might consider buying it again in the future. I might also give the shampoo a try.
Makeup Brushes -TheBalm - Blend a Hand blending brush
amanda23 10/18/2012 2:08:00 PM
This brush is brand-spanking new, not even sure if it's on the shelves yet. I got mine from early stock that hasn't been available to the consumers yet. The packaging grabbed my attention, as with most of The Balm's packaging, it is cute and fun, brightly coloured and cartoon-like. I bought this to use with my Time balm foundation. I loooooooove this brush. It is extremely good quality, soft yet substantial (feels like my kitties little feet). It makes my foundation apply like a dream. I'm so glad I bought this, I will never go back to applying foundation with a sponge again! I'm sure most high-quality blending brushes would work just as well but the packaging for this one is just so fun.
Hair Color -Revlon - Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit

I have used this several times and have made several reviews, I think this will be my fifth, at least. This is an amazing product, if used wisely. First of all, the plastic hook works just fine. I had trouble at first but watched some youtube videos and the trick is to hold the tool so that the hook part is facing up, makes a world of difference. Using this technique made everything so much easier and eliminated the need to pre-poke holes. When doing the sides of your head, have the hook facing out, if you try to poke holes through with the hook facing towards your head, it just doesn't work well at all, this could be what's causing so much difficulty. Doing every other hole gives a natural look and I always leave it on the full 60 minutes in order to get a true-blonde look. I have light brown hair and have used both kits for the honey blonde and regular blonde. I find the kit for honey blonde is very strong and I have much more breakage when I use that one. Oh, and I always have my hubs help me with the back, there's just no way I can do that myself with much accuracy.
I used to be a lipstick junkie and was always buying something new. Recently I rediscovered the lip gloss and I'm hooked! I haven't been able to bring myself to use anything else in over 2 months. I even bought a second tube of this because because I was always misplacing it in different pockets. This feels so cool and refreshing on my lips, making them softer and smoother, and the colour is absolutely perfect for me. I like a pop of colour but nothing too drastic and this is more than I could have hoped for. I don't see me straying from this for quite some time. 100% satisfied.
At first I thought I didn't like this because it was too creamy and I found that my eye makeup smudged a little with this. Then I changed my eyeliner to a waterproof formula and I love this stuff now! I am an NC25 and I find that the medium/light is perfect for me. This doesn't give that obvious cover up look, just nicely conceals some undereye darkness. I do dust with powder to set it and I'm good for most of the day, with maybe a small touchup if I'm going out. This is my new holy grail concealer. I'm sure this works great on blemishes as well but I like to use the TimeBalm concealer with teatree to treat them. That also works awesome.
I am honestly so glad I gave this a try! I used to use the Avene compact foundation and was very loyal but I work at a drugstore and get discounts on products so I was tempted to see if this was any better. Initially I was turned off because I had a breakout but it turns out it was unrelated. This stuff applies beautifully, maybe a bit easier to spread over a moisturizer. It gives an absolutely flawless finish but doesn't look like a ton of makeup, and it lasts! I also really like that it doesn't have an SPF, as I find that makes me look like a ghost in photos, but I do apply a moisturizer with and SPF in it on first. I still like the Avene but I go through it like every month. This stuff might last me a year +. Update: I recently have discovered that this makes me look shiny and oily in pics. Too bad, I liked it in person but don't like the finish when I see it in pictures.
Had to write a review on this one. I am very impressed. First of all, I love that it only takes 10 minutes as I have no patience for anything. It is a bit strong but it has to work double duty I suppose. I got light brown (chocolate shake) I wanted a good base color for future highlights and I also wanted to cover up my gross current faded golden brown which had become a murky gross nothing shade. I Left it on 10 minutes, while washing it out it did feel a tad dry but after applying the gorgeous conditioner (which does smell like coconuts btw) my hair was soft and manageable, so easy to comb through and blowed dry to a very shiny, healthy looking head of hair. The colour was dark but no darker than any other box dye, they always are a tad on the dark side at first because they will fade. This was no darker than I was expecting and i love the colour. In a weeks time it will be perf. I would use this again. P.|S. I would also like to add that I can't believe how heatlhy this makes my hair feel, even days after. Normally I find hair colour coats my hair and makes it feel sticky or staticky or something. This still just feels glossy and healthy. Like others have mentioned, I am also very impressed by the dimmension it gives my hair. I always hate how flat box dye can make your hair look but this stuff is beautiful and very natural-looking.
Lotions/ Creams -Jergens - Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer

There are a lot of things I like about this product; it gives me nice colour, doesn't smell too bad and is relatively inexpensive for basically a sunless tanner. Unfortunately, since I've started using this, I've broken out in random bumps on my arms, legs, chest etc. Not a tonne, or enough to be considered a rash but like random breakouts. I sifted through the lowest reviews on here and found that I wasn't alone, not surprisingly, I usually know when I'm reacting to something. So sadly, I won't be repurchasing this :( Otherwise it worked great.
I should have checked on here before using this but I swear I have had success with this in the past. Okay so the general concensus is ORANGE ROOTS! FML it has been a long time since I've looked in the mirror to such horror. I currently am trying to dye it back to a normal hair colour this moment with L'Oreal Excellence. I should have been wise and used that in the first place. Stay away from this crap. Also: it is runny and messy as hell, my bathroom looks a mess!
I bought a box of this because I wanted to throw some lowlights over my too blonde highlight job I did with my Revlon Frost and Glow kit. So I threw the cap on, pulled a bunch of hairs through and proceeded to colour. I was very intrigued to see use the pre-treatment as my hair was rather processed. I put it on all the strands, then the colour and left on for the full 30 minutes. After rinsing, shampooing and conditioning, my hair looked amazing! I was worried it might pull green over the blonde but I had used a light brown and it had no "ash" in the title. I still can't get over how natural and healthy-looking my hair looks. It also smelled pleasant and the no-drip colour made it much less messy to apply. I will use this again if I throw on more lowlights in the future.
I felt a bit of buyer's remorse immediately after purchasing this but after seeing the results, I am floored. I can't recall the last time I have experienced such fantastic results from a styling product. I have been growing out my hair and was feeling that it was looking a little dry and drab and really just lifeless. This product has done wonders at bringing it back to life and making it smooth and healthy looking. It also smells amazing. This was well worth the money.
An emphatic YES on "would I buy this again"! This is the best skincare product I've ever purchased. If I had to use only one thing, it would be this. This takes off all my makeup, I do take my eye makeup off with a separate eye makeup remover. This leaves my face clean and calm and perfectly balanced. This is my cleanser and toner and when done I don't feel the need to use moisturizer, maybe in the winter though. My skin looks so good that I have honestly cut out the extras in my skincare and really rely on this alone. So glad I found this! I recommend it to everyone with acne-prone or combination skin types. Update: Still loving this, I'm on my 3rd bottle and have introduced friends to this miracle. A word of warning: this will make your skin purge initially but within a week or so it should be smoothe sailing. I couldn't imagine life without this product, I wouldn't use anything else if it were offered to me for free. Update: I still love this stuff, however, when I find at times my skin is oilier, I will use the foaming gel version of this and it helps control oil better for those that have oilier skin.
Self Tanners -Jergens - Jergens Natural Glow Firming

I am very impressed with this lotion. I should mention that I have been a faithful user of Neostrata Insta tan for the last 10 years or so. I was looking for something less prciey and thought I'd give this a try. Now I normally shy away from gradual sunless tanners because I'm impatient and I like instant results. But I love this stuff. It smells nice, not nasty like other tanning lotions. It gives a nice natural-looking tan that is very believable. I even like the small amount of shimmer it gives my skin and I can tell that it does a good job of firming. This is holy grail to me.
