Cleansers -Mario Badescu - Enzyme Cleansing Gel
Windupdolly 12/30/2007 9:44:00 PM
I think this cleanser is average. It doesn't seem to have any effect, positive or negative on my acne, but is super gentle on my combo skin. My biggest complaint with this product was that it never removed all of my concealer, this is less of a concern now since I use Dermalogica's Precleanse first. The scent reminds me of Irish Spring soap. This cleanser is a great value, the bottle is huge and I only need a pea-sized amount.

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge in Blushed Rose
Windupdolly 12/30/2007 9:31:00 PM
When I picked this pot rouge up at Nordstrom, I had no idea it was such a popular color. This shade looks super natural on my pale yet warm skin tone. I apply this with my BE Kabuki brush. You barely have to touch the surface of the pot with the brush as it's very pigmented. This stuff also works nicely over the top of bronzer. As other's have mentioned this can be a little drying for lips. I always apply lip balm first if I'm going to wear this.

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Bronze Shimmer
Windupdolly 12/15/2007 4:09:00 PM
I'm totally hooked on this gel-liner. It nicely matches my warm skin and blue eyes. I love how its creamy, yet it stays on my lids until I take off my makeup at night. I also like how I can use it subtly along the lashline for everyday or more dramatically but it's still not over the top. Overall this little glass tub is a great value, I apply my eyeliner with the MAC 208 angle brush.

Brows -LORAC - Creamy Brow Pencil - Blonde
Windupdolly 12/15/2007 3:57:00 PM
This brow pencil is a great match to my hair which is light brown with golden highlights. As the other reviewer mentioned, it doesn't smear, however I wish it lasted a little bit longer on my brows. After six hours or so, it is mostly gone.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Blemish Cover Stick
Windupdolly 11/12/2007 11:24:00 PM
When covering zits, this concealer does the job. The shade warm sand matches my skin well and it doesn't change color throughout the day. However the texture is a bit dry, so if my zits are already flaky from to much bp it doesn't blend as well. I also avoid using it as an under-eye concealer for the same reason.

Mascara -Clinique - Naturally Glossy Mascara
Windupdolly 10/27/2007 12:48:00 PM
I think this is a great every day mascara, it is the least-clumpy mascara I've used. I curl my lashes with my Shu curler and apply two coats. I wish the curl would stay a little longer, but it is nevertheless a good product and does not irritate my eyes while wearing contacts.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Innersense Quiet Calm Curl Control
Windupdolly 10/27/2007 12:34:00 PM
I have naturally curly hair (3B/C) and have been using this product for the last two months. The hold on its own isn't enough for my hair (except when used with a bonnet dryer at the salon) but when applied under a light-weight gel (Naturelle Hypo-Allergenic gel) it works quite well for 1st and 2nd day hair, and is completely curly-girl friendly (if you follow that program). The packaging of this product however isn't that durable, mine cracked in the top after a month and half, forcing me to store it in a plastic bag. Altogether, though I like the product.

Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine Lipstick - Raspberry Rush
Windupdolly 10/27/2007 12:26:00 PM
This was my first Butter Shine Lipstick, and I really like it. This color can be a bit dramatic if you apply a lot, but I think subtle effects can easily be achieved as well, and either way it leaves the lips looking soft and dewy. I wear NW15-20 or BB Warm ivory, and I think this berry shade is quite flattering. The only problems I have with it are that the staying power isn't the longest (as others have mentioned) though I don't mind to much as the texture is great, and the tube which doesn't seem to retract unless I literally push on the lipstick with my finger.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-On Cream Liner in Black Honey
Windupdolly 10/27/2007 12:10:00 PM
I liked the color of this eyeliner (surprisingly less red near my eyes than it looked like it would be) however, it does not have as good of staying power as the other gel liners I've used ( MAC and Paula's choice) and seems to melt off my eyes in about 3-4 hours. The soft texture of the eyeliner also makes it harder to apply in the first place, even with my best angle brush.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Activate Hydrating conditioner
Windupdolly 9/2/2007 1:56:00 PM
This is the best drug store conditioner I've found for my naturally curly hair ( 3B/C mix) and I've been using it for about a year. It nicely softens my hair when combed in and rinsed and also works as a leave-in under gel. It feels more hydrating and less greasy than other conditioners I've tried. The smell is a little off-putting (a fakey fruity scent) But all in all I like this product and keep buying it again and again.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Corrector
Windupdolly 9/2/2007 1:49:00 PM
I have hereditary dark under-eye circles and this is the first product I've tried that really works at canceling the color. I use the shade light bisque on my warm ivory skin and stroke a little on with a brush and blend it in with my ring-finger. I follow this by applying a little of my foundation over the top and sealing the whole thing with loose powder. The only problem I have with it is that application has become a little messy as I accidentally left the pot in my car and it melted all over the inside of the container.

Eye Shadow -MAC - MAC Brun Eyeshadow
Windupdolly 7/20/2007 5:28:00 PM
For using this as an eyeshadow or liner I find the texture to be to chalky and hard to blend, however it work well at filling in my brows when I apply it with an angle brush though I don't intend to repurchase because I think there are other colors closer to that of my brows.

Eyeliner -Paula's Choice - Constant Color Gel Eyeliner in Nightfall
Windupdolly 7/20/2007 5:22:00 PM
I love this dark plummy shade which looks nice with my blue eyes. However I wish the container were a little bit bigger. Overall though I like just as much as the fluid lines for its durability and smooth texture.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl
Windupdolly 7/20/2007 5:17:00 PM
I love the beautiful gold tones of this eye shadow on my NW 20 skin. Gold wouldn't seem like the most expected combo with blue eyes but I think it looks great. This eyeshadow also works well as a liner or with a brown liner as others have mentioned.

Conditioner -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Aloe Vera 84% Conditioner - Hair Nourishing Formula
Windupdolly 1/18/2006 9:35:00 PM
I have very curly corkscrews and I thought this conditioner would be great, as pure aloe vera gel is very good for softening and taming frizz. My typical routine involves rinsing under the showerhead then combing conditioner in with a pick then layering on devacurl gel. However the only think this conditioner did was frizzify it and dry it out,(this is probably due to the sillicones in it. cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone.) when following my normal routine. The sea kelp conditioner is much more moisturizing for my hair. Sadly, It does contain those two sillicones also, though it is much farther down on the ingredients list.
