Blush -Stila - orchid convertible color [DISCONTINUED]
Soybeans236 7/4/2003 7:45:00 PM
YolandaMC sent me this as a free gift and I LOVE it! The color looks like a scary red purple (more red though) but it goes on a deep rosey flush. It is NOT to dark for me, a blonde haired blue eyed LLL. The formula of the CC is excellent. Most blushes don't last more than an hour on me, but these last almost the entire day. The compact is very cute too! Rave!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Cabana Girls Eyeshadow Trios
Soybeans236 6/21/2003 4:18:00 PM
I was not very thrilled with The Cabana girls trios. I bought the Banana, and used it for about a week. But then I got SO bored with it, it practically sat around my m/u drawer. The colors are not that unique, although it does make for a nice neutral eye. I tested Strawberry from a friend, and liked it more than Banana. It'd make a perfect pink look, however the colors are a little sheer, and don't have the blendabilty most Stila shadows do. I never bought peach because it was too similar to Banana.

Conditioner -Biosilk - Silk Therapy Conditioner
Soybeans236 6/21/2003 4:16:00 PM
I've been using Biosilk for about a month now and absolutely love it! I have normal hair that leans toward to dry side, so I always choose moisturizing products. This conditioner is the best! It comes out thick and creamy, not runny, which I love. The scent is average, nothing spectacular. The best thing about it is the way it moisturizes my hair! It literally feels like silk, even after shampooing with a dandruff shampoo. I hesitate to buy this again, only because of the high price tag. But other than that, it is the *pefect* conditioner for dry hair!

Lip Liners -Laura Mercier - Chestnut lipliner
Soybeans236 6/20/2003 1:36:00 PM
I've on the search for the perfect nude, pink lip liner. After all the raves on LM Chestnut, I tried it out. The color of the pencil is JUST perfect. It's almost the exact color of my lips. But once the lip pencil gets on my lips, it's much to dark to be YLBB. I'm a cool toned FFF and my lips are naturally pale pink. So the color was off =( As far as the formula, it's excellent! Very creamy and wears well. I wouldn't repurchase simply because of the color.

Powder -Aveda - Dual Base Minus Oil
Soybeans236 6/18/2003 5:27:00 PM
When I first got this foundation, I wasn't to thrilled with it. I thought it was too sheer. But a few months later I tried it again and I've used it every day since. It leaves my face matte and feels very leightweight. The wear is good. It never cakes on my oily, but flaky skin. The compact holds up well, and it's SO easy to take along after swimming, working out, ect! I can't belive I ever bothered with a liquid! I wear Aster, and for referance I am a Stila B, Neutrogena Softest Gold, Jane Buffy, Maybelline Buff. This isn't what I thought would be my HG foundation but I'm definitely thinking it is!

Makeup Brushes -Stila - #16 Double Sided Brush
Soybeans236 6/18/2003 3:39:00 PM
I recieved this brush with my 8 pan. The other reviews are right. The eye liner brush is useless! However, the eye shadow side is wonderful! It makes eye shadow go on so smooth. I wouldn't buy this brush seperatly, but I'm curious to try more brushes from Stila!

Brows -Stila - brow duo
Soybeans236 6/18/2003 3:38:00 PM
I have naturally blonde hair, and my eye brows need more than a little filling it! They don't show up with out this! I use the taupe shade more often than the dark brown, but it is such a natural color, its worth the $14!!! I just use the PC Wedge Brow Brush and swipe it on lightly into my brows! It's wonderful!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Indigo eyeshadow
Soybeans236 6/18/2003 3:36:00 PM
I've always feared blue, not wanting to go for the 80's look. But when the fabulous Neliza sent me this in a swap, I had to try it and I've since fell in love! I use it wet to line and it goes on dark (almost black) navy blue. It goes great with neutrals (like Wheat) and purpley colors (like Heather.) It doesn't scream Blue eye liner! Instead it really makes my blue eyes stand out and it makes the whites look really bright! Rave here!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Fog eyeshadow
Soybeans236 6/18/2003 3:34:00 PM
I'd eyed Fog many times at the store, and never bought it because of all the BAD reviews here. I finally got it and can't believe it! It's the perfect matte grey brown, and definitely NOT to dark for me (a blonde haired, blue eyed, fff) to use on the lid. The texture and color are great, and I taking one lipstick off just because it doesnt seem to have the pigment more shimmer Stila shadows have. Overall, I LOVE it!

Styling Products -Goldwell - Goldwell Trendline Extreme Straightener
Soybeans236 6/17/2003 1:28:00 AM
I got a 2 oz sample of this product in a swap and since my hair is naturally wave, I decided to test it out. It's more of a gel than anything, which surprised me! Most straighteners are creams. While this did to a nice job helping me blow dry my hair straight, I felt it made my hair heavy and stick together. =(

Conditioner -TRESemme - Vitamin A,C, and E Natural Conditioner
Soybeans236 6/17/2003 1:26:00 AM
Ugh, I hated the shampoo and I also hated this. It didn't really seem to DO much. Its a very runny consistancy and it's hard to keep in the palm of your hand. I hated this stuff.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Vitamin A, C and E Natural Shampoo
Soybeans236 6/17/2003 1:25:00 AM
I bought a huge 32 oz bottle of this stuff on sale and it SUCKS! It strips my hair and makes it all tangly. My hair is normal/dry! I felt like the 'vitamins' did nothing and I have a hard time believing this is salon recommend!

Lip Gloss -Laura Mercier - Ambre Rose Glace
Soybeans236 6/8/2003 10:19:00 PM
Ambre Rose Glace is my first product from this line and I am thrilled! The color is a red with bronze gold. It's very summery and I can tell it will be a staple! It's really not to warm for me, and I am a cool toned LLL/FFF with blonde hair and blue eyes. The packaging is quite small and this is over price. It has a sour scent that smells kind of like vinegar, but it isn't all that strong and not enough to prevent me from buying LOTS more!

Lipstick -Stila - Lipstick in Jane
Soybeans236 6/8/2003 10:17:00 PM
LOVE LOVE LOVE this color! I am a cool tooned FFF/LLL with blonde hair and blue eyes and this shade suits me perfectly! It's a bronzy rose shade on my lips and very neutral; I thought it would be to warm and nude. It's really not! This is a wonderful color for summer and I will definitely repurchase!

Palettes -Stila - 8-pan compact
Soybeans236 6/8/2003 10:16:00 PM
I just got my 8 pan in the mail a few weeks ago and I am in LOVE! This palette is absolutely adorable and very sturdy. It really snaps shut. I love the mirror and you can poke the shadows out at the bottom. I definitely prefer the 8 pan to two 4 pans simply because I don't have a million small palettes around. If you don't travel much and have LOT of eye shadows palettes, I'd recommend the bigger one although it is more expensive.
