Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish

I am loving this polish is it my favorite I love it more than opi, essie, china glaze etc... One of the nurses I work with recommended this line to me. I own two colors right now and intend to buy more. Pro's - Excellent Brush allows for great streak free coverage (I have not found a better brush yet) Just use a light hand during application - Great Pigmentation bottle color in 1-2 coats ( this makes it good for nadding in my experience) -Excellent staying power (this polish did an excellent job of staying on my nails despite the fact I am a nurse and constantly washing my hands) - Good color range available. - Available at most drugstores in my area (no special trips to a beatuy supply store for this one.) Cons - Price at $7 us a bottle this is a little expensive (I would try to wait for bogo's if you like this polish as sally hansen's products do go on sale) Edit- 11/12/11 - I own may more polishes from this line and it is still my favorite. I tested it alone with no base coat or top coat and staying power of the mani was not bad just had minor tip wear.

I got this polish in lighting which ok I primarily bought this for nading which on dark colors it fails at. The polish true to it's name does dry quickly. Is thick and very pigmented. The brush design is a bit odd and takes some practice. My application was a little streaky but some of that was due to not being used to the brush. I also found this polish challanging to remove especially off my cuticles. Now for why I am super disapointed is that this polish chipped soo fast it didn't even last a day on my nails just a few hours my nails were chipped and i wasn't really doing any activities to warrent chippage.

Lotions/ Creams -Jergens - Ultra Healing Lotion

This is an excellent mositurizing I give my seal of approval which as a nurse who washes my hands hundreds of times a shift I get to be an expert judge of lotions. It absorbs quickly(fastest asborber I have found yet) , is rich and hydrating, and Not greasy. This is good for sensitive skin and for those with allergies this is not really scented. Another plus is it doesn't take a lot of lotion to coat hands which is a plus for me. Overall this is great for hands and body and I would Highly recomend this one. I think this is even better then Eucerin calming creme because it is more hydrating and absorbs faster which say quite a lot since that lotion is excellent as well. However if your skin is very irritated or extremely sensitive I would recommend Eucerin first.

Polishes -Sinful - I Love You

In general I don't do a lot of glitter polishes but on a whim I bought this. The day before valetines day I had to repaint nails bf picked this one should have know somthing was up (he gave me purple earings this color). Tonight is day 3 of my mani and 2 out 10 nails are chipped (this is actually really good for me). The color is a dark royal purple with sparkles in a lighter purple. It takes 3 coats didn't apply streaky. The formula is not gloopy or liquidy. This polish does a fair job of standing up to abuse. Overall for $1.99 pretty good polish. .

Polishes -New York Color - Long Wearing Nail Enamel

This line in general is fantastic with a couple of exceptions and for the price it can't be beat. It is Big 3 free, dries very fast and on day 3 with no top coat and base coat no chips (and my job is rough on the nails). I have 111A fuscia shock and with two coats my nails are the same color as whats in the bottle. I also own a bottle of black lace which is awful you can barely get any color out of that one it is streaky and needs a lot of coats. However considering this is onely 99Cents a bottle a couple of dud shades aren't bad. I will definitely be buying more of these polishes.

Tools -Sephora - 4-Step Buffer

This buffer is excellent it is easy to use and with in minutes your nails look healthy, shiny, and feel smooth. I have used other buffers I bought in the drugstore and they were not even on the same league. For $5 this little guy is a steal and works wonders. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good buffer

Tools -Sephora - Glass Nail File

This is my first glass file and man I wish I had this little guys sooner. My nails break and peel all the time well for almost 2 weeks not I have not broken a nail or had them peel (which is just outrageous). For $8 this guys was a steal. I highly recommend this. Now quick break down Pros - easy to use - easy to clean -- keep edges neat Cons -only has file on side -comes with flimsy plastic sleeve

Misc Beauty Tools -Bare Escentuals - Well-Cared For Brush Conditioning Shampoo

This product does a good job of keeping your brushes clean. It is about the consistency of shampoo you would use on your. I just wet my brushes with warm water put the product on gently massage it in and then wash it off. This product leaves my brush clean and after they dry are softer. Another plus is that a little goes a long way. So almost a year after purchasing this I still have not finished the bottle.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade

This is a nice pink color with a little sparkle goes well with my fair skin. It makes you lips look nice and glossy. I actually even found it a little hydrating. The applicator is a soft and the product goes on smoothly you just simply twist the bottom to load the applicator.

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick in Strawberry Milk #595

I wanted to love this lipstick so much the color is so beautiful but it flaws could not be deined. Poor staying power being the cheif complaint it also seemed to make my lips look dryer. It was only $1.75 so at least this wasn't an expensive disapointment. UPDATE 12/22 I must Take Back some of the horrible things I said about this product because after I exfoliated my lips (which ok had some dry skin) and started applying a better chapstick regulary this lipstick looked great on me and did a decent job of staying on (3-4hrs max).

Eyeliner -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Lashliner -- Leatherette

I just bought this liner on black friday and am Loving it. It was easy to pick up application and for those less skilled in make up it even comes with instructions. I used an angled eye liner brush which worked perfectly. As a quick note if you create a line and go over it with the brush before it is dry you may have some fading on that line but the liner drys quickly enough that I didn't find it much of a problem. Pro's easy to apply great staying power conditioning for lashes no flaking Cons a little hard to take off once dry Update 12/22/09 After using this for almost a month I can say yes it really did make my lashes fuller and help them grow longer. However the best part is that this liner passed the 12hr shift test which means it must survive application pre work till when i get home (in reality this means it must last 14 hrs)

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)

This is my HG face wash. I have tried many others but nothing does as good by my skin as purity. My skin is a little sensitive but this doesn't irritate. I use it with my clarisonic. Pros- Good for sensetive skin nice smell Don't need to use toner with this face was one 8oz bottle goes a long way (almost 6 months) cons have not found any yet

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Spot Therapy Brush Head

Love this thing gives your body a really good exfoliation runs for about 3 minutes been using it with the body scrub from clarisonic but I am sure it would work well with most body scrubs. After I am done my skin feels nice and smooth. Only down side to using this is that your clarisonic will have to be charged sooner.

Conditioner -Garnier - Triple Nutrition Conditioner

I decided to go off on a limb and try this I figure well hey it is 2.99 why not. Well i used this with the shampoo which is an ok shampoo. Well let me tell you my poor hair felt like straw after this. I have fine hair that is very curly (think shirley temple). Thankfully the men in my household will be able to use this up. Worst $3 I ever spent.

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain

I have never owned a lip stain before I bought this before my sisters wedding although she convinced me to get a coral shade which was so so on me it looked great on her. This was not drying had decent staying power as well. It applies nicely the applicator looks a bit like a felt tip maker. Next time I hit the drugstore I will have to pick another one of these up in a different color.
