My favorite! This is very similar to, but better than, Lancome's Juicy Tube in Prune, which I believe is discontinued. Starts out really dark and grapey in the tube, but applies much more sheer, adding a great shine and beautiful tint. Longest lasting gloss I've ever used, scent/taste free, easy to apply, little to no smudging. Have already repurchased.
I LOVE this! I have several, and have ordered even more, but my favorite so far is Revolt. All the colors have been fabulous, but what makes these the best is how long lasting they are; its AMAZING! They're sticky but things don't stick to them, and they're not uncomfortable in the least. Theylack any taste or scent and apply really easily; I have no problem with them smudging or ending up on my face. AWESOME glosses, even though they're pricey.
Styling Products -L'Oreal - Curl Vive Curl-shaping spray gel
NoCares67 4/13/2003 2:34:00 PM
I've been using this stuff since it came out and I love it. I spray it on my hair when its wet (and use other regular gels) and this eliminates frizz when the hair dries. I get perfectly controlled curls with no stickiness or crunch. I use it on dry hair to touch up through the day, especially if its humid. This has been recently reformulated and while I think it works as well if not better than before, the great smell has been replaced with one that I do not like, but that less cranky people would probably find inoffensive. I cannot live without a spray gel and this is my favorite, plus its pretty cheap.
I really like this stuff. It smells great, and while its not the most moisturzing (so I can't use it for extended periods without anything stronger), it also doesn't weight my hair down with that over conditioned look; my curls are pretty soft and very springy and controlled. I use the shampoo sometimes as well and the spray gel always.
Foundations -Clinique - Dewy Smooth Anti-aging [DISCONTINUED]
NoCares67 4/12/2003 4:57:00 PM
I LOVE this foundation!!! It feels so good on my skin, and silky to the touch, probably from the silicone in it. It looks great all day long, never cakes, and keeps my flaws covered while giving me no more coverage than necessary; its VERY natural looking on me. I like Lancome's Maquivelours, but Clinique's Dewy Smooth is a lighter coverage and more natural looking, plus its way cheaper! This is my new favorite!
I love these! They wear so well; they go on smoothly and beautifully and wear very, very well. The colors are awesome as well. Such a steal for the price.
Wonderful, WONDERFUL stuff. More like a lotion, excellent for dry skin. It cleans off any dirt/makeup that I missed and leaves my skin soft, silky, and rehydrated instead of read, dry and irritated like most toners do. A MUST-HAVE for those with dry or sensitive skin; the whole Confort line is excellent, and this is probably the most reasonably priced product of the line.
I've been using this for years; it's one of the few deodorants available that is not tested on animals. It's gentle and effective, though not as effective as non-natural deodorants. It's fine on most days and work outs, but for summer heat or real physical tasks, it's not the best. It doesn't irritate my skin though, as many do, and it dried clear so there is no white flaking. My all time favorite is Dove cause it moisturizes, but this is my second favorite and the only one I'll use now.
Mascara -Bobbi Brown - Lash Glamour Lengthening Mascara
NoCares67 3/2/2003 11:59:00 PM
This lengthens well and does not tend to flake or smear. There is some occasional clumping. The packaging is great, in a squeezable tube, but the wand is below average with a weird screw-like brush. All in all its above average, but it's too pricey for what it does. L'Oreal's Lash Out gives me longer, less clumped lashes at a third of the price. I probably won't buy it again, but I don't regret trying it.
Conditioner -Back to Basics - Pomegranate Peach Conditioner
NoCares67 3/2/2003 11:53:00 PM
I love it! It makes my hair light and soft, moist but not weighed down and it smells fabulous! The best smelling hair product I've ever encountered; I even bought the body lotion just because of the scent which, to me, smells like watermelon in addition to peaches and pomegranate. It leaves a weird (and slippery) film on my shower floor though, but not on my hair, so watch out for that.
I bought one tube and have tried 2 others from GWP and I don't like this lipstick. The color selection is truly amazing, and I love most of them. The lipstick itself is creamy and moist, but when applied it dries my lips, shows off crevices and flaws, and the color does not stay true. It also has a tendancy to feather. It also stains my lips and makes me look like a scary clown. I've given up on it, despite the awesome color choices. $20 is way too much for something that looks terrible on.
Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Naturally Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
NoCares67 3/2/2003 11:43:00 PM
If I could give this less than one lipstick rating, I would. This was terrible. It wasn't gentle in the least, it took a lot of mess and effort to remove the makeup, and it left my skin greasy, my eye bloodshot and my vision blurred. I got this as a sample and promptly threw it out. Such a huge disaster, I can't imagine wasting $15 on an entire tube. Clinique's liquid eyemakeup removers are much, much better.
Cleansers -Lancome - Mousse Confort- Foaming Cream Cleanser
NoCares67 2/26/2003 2:31:00 PM
I absolutely love this product. I have very dry, very sensitive skin, and this leaves my skin feeling the most moist of any cleanser I have ever tried. It's expensive but a little bit really goes a long way and the tube lasts me a long time with daily use. It is perfumed but the scent doesn't irritate my skin and I find it heavenly. My only complaint is that the lid must be unscrewed to get the mousse out, a flip top would be very nice. I am definitely buying again.
Moisturizers -Lancome - Impactive Multi-performance silkening moisturizer
NoCares67 2/17/2003 6:41:00 PM
This product smells wonderful. The problem is this-it moisturizes well and would serve as a nice daily moisturizer but if applied before foundation, as most women do with daily moisturizers, it will cause streaking like you have never seen before. Like water put on oil, your makeup will be all over your face in a disgusting, uncomfortable and hideous mess. This was a true disaster. However, it is not a strong enough moisturizer to be used as a night cream and is therefore useless to me. If you need a moisturizer for daytime but do not wear any makeup (my eye makeup was affected as well), this might suit you perfectly. It feels great and smells heavenly, but it is expensive and does not meet any of my needs.
The packaging on this scrub is far better than that of many others, which tend to leak. This comes in a glass jar with metal clasp, and nothing leaks out. I use this about every two weeks and it feels awesome. I spend 5 minutes scrubbing it on and then rinse off before going to bed. I let the oils stay on my skin overnight before cleaning them off in the shower the next morning and my skin is left feeling incredibly soft. The salts in here are the best exfoliators I've used, and the oils are wonderfully moisturizing. The smell is a little strong and very nutty, but well worth it. You also have to clean your tub out thoroughly or it will be left red from the pomegranate. It comes off easily though. It's expensive but an amazing product; my favorite body scrub.
