I adore this scent; on me it smells very clean and woodsy, with a hint of geranium (two of my favorite things!) Whenever I catch a whiff, it smells wonderful to me. The staying power is fairly good, and I would definitely buy a bottle (I have only tried a sample, but that was enough to last me for a week or so.)

I have had several bottles of this scent, and would definitely buy it again; it's one of my favorite cold-weather fragrances. I love every stage of it, from the first heavy leather-and-pipesmoke notes to the clean and spicy, not-too-sweet vanilla it dries into. Wonderful, wonderful stuff! I receive compliments every time I wear it.

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance

Chance is something I tried when it first came out, as I had very much liked Allure when it was new (but I have a love-hate relationship with Chanel; when I've smelled No. 5, it's heavy and old-ladyish, and makes me sick.) I think that Chance is definitely marketed to a younger crowd (I am in my twenties) and that the scent itself reflects that. It's also a very different scent from most of my favorites, and I'm surprised that I still like it. I like the packaging (which the Shania Twain scent seems to be ripping off now) and love the bottle. It's a very fresh scent, extremely sharp and peppery when I first spray it on, then becoming softer and more floral (and I usually hate florals, but this seems to work with my body chemistry) without ever getting too sweet. I've never had the tin-can or tuna notes that some people have mentioned. I currently have the eau de toilette; the staying power isn't great, but since it's so light and I use so little, I like it as a warmer-weather scent. I actually received my second bottle as a Christmas gift from my mother, and debated getting rid of it, as I'd grown somewhat tired of Chance. All in all, probably not something I'd go out of my way to get, but a pleasant fragrance nonetheless.
