Fragrances -Calvin Klein - Contradiction
rated 5 of 5

This is my favorite scent of all time! I have been wearing it for many years. It's discontinued now- so i am sure there are plenty of fakes out there, which may explain why some people are finding it to smell strange? I love the smell of vanilla that lingers when i wear contradiction, the staying power is not that great though, you definitely have to re-apply. This is a huge memory smell and takes me back to care-free summer holidays everytime i wear it. Wish they would bring it back!!!!!!!!!

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - WetSlicks Amazemint
rated 2 of 5
Bronz 2/13/2010 12:20:00 AM

Just purchased CG WetSlicks Amazemint gloss today in PINK POSITIVE The mint smell doesn't bother me - i would rather a mac vanilla smell but for $12 AUD i can't complain :) I looooove the colour, it's almost a matte but on closer inspection you can see tiny flecks of sparkle but it's not overpowering, the colour is the star here not the glitter (getting a bit over the glitter lipglosses... for now anyway lol). The colour is a gorgeous baby pink and looks great over my mac sublime culture lipliner. The only problem i have with this gloss is that it has a very thin consistancy so staying power is not that great - you need to re-apply often, but for the price i am happy.

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer - Noir
rated 4 of 5
Bronz 2/13/2010 12:04:00 AM

I love this eyeliner! This was my HG before i discovered MAC fluidline :) But for the price (around $10AUD) I don't think you can go wrong. The only gripe i used to have with it was- i found the pencil a bit on the thick side but having said that, it's great for smudging to create a smokey-eye. FOR FASHIONISTAS ON A BUDGET- THIS ONE IS FAB!

Lip Liners -MAC - Cremestick liner in Pink Treat
rated 3 of 5
Bronz 2/12/2010 5:31:00 PM

I really wanted to like this colour but unfortunately it is too dark for me. I only use this if i am doing simple eye-makeup and a statement lip but at the moment i have been rocking the smokey eye, so don't get to wear this colour often. I find that Sublime Culture is better base for a nude lip- but even this one i find a bit too brown ($34 AUD) My favorite lip liner is actually Australis in Bashful $8.95 Such a fab baby pink - perfect for a nude lip! But i hate haveing to sharpen, wish it came in a wind-up version. :)

Brows -MAC - Eyebrows Crayon in Lingering
rated 5 of 5
Bronz 2/12/2010 5:14:00 PM

I have to buy my MAC products online as i do not live near a store and choosing colours can be a bit hit and miss from just using thier website (thank god for youtube/blogs/makeupally for swatches and reviews!). Previously i used a Rimmel eyebrow pencil in Hazel, which was ok for the price (approx $10 AUD) but it tends to have quite a red undertone and on a hot day could slide off. So i read on someones blog that they did the switch from Rimmel hazel to Mac lingering and they loved it so i gave it a shot... AND NEVER LOOKED BACK! It's a great match for me (i have dark brown hair) and there is no red undertone - it's purely brown. I love the easy to use packaging, I LOVE THAT I DON'T HAVE TO USE A SHARPENER ANYMORE YAY!!!!! and it has great staying power LOVE IT! ( Approx $32 AUD )

Loose Powders -Kryolan - Anti Shine Powder
rated 2 of 5
Bronz 2/9/2010 3:07:00 AM

Doesn't really work for me :( maybe shine free lasts for an hour more than usual but nothing special. The powder is too white and can make me look washed out if i use too much but if i don't use enough it doesn't work argggh! So now i just use this product if i am planning on going out somewhere special as it tends to break me out if i wear too often. Was hoping this was going to be the answer for my oily skin - So the search continues!!!

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control

I love using this exfoliator! *My skin feels so clean after i use this. *I don't find it drying at all. My tip would be to not be heavy handed when applying because the granuals are quite abbrasive, so as long as you rub it in really gently you will get great results! I have oily/breakout-prone skin and this is great for me. I use it 3 to 4 times a week :)

Lipstick -Australis - Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick
rated 3 of 5
Bronz 2/7/2010 8:42:00 PM

This review is actually for: Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in MAMBO... I really love the colour! Gorgeous pale-nude-matte-baby pink. Doesn't have the best staying power but for the price i can't complain. Looks the best over MAC creamstick lip-liner in Pink Treat.

rated 5 of 5
Bronz 2/3/2010 2:27:00 AM

LOVE THIS EYELINER!!!!! Stays on forever (and i have oily lids). It's super easy to apply, I use a small angled brush and i put Mac 'sorcery' (from the devil may dare pallett) over the top and it makes it this really deep purply-browny-black FAB! oh, and it will last you forever, i have been wearing it every day for the past 3 months and i have barely made a dent! Two thumbs up YAY :-) p.s retails in Australia $32

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - Warm vanilla sugar (whole line)
rated 2 of 5
Bronz 2/3/2010 2:09:00 AM

Purchased the Bath and body works - warm vanilla sugar perfume (EDT) and unfortunately on me it smells very chemical :( So dissapointed because i love a good vanilla smell. I find The Body Shop vanilla perfume much nicer. I did buy it off ebay though (because we don't have a B&BW in Australia) and maybe its a fake? The best vanillary perfumes i have found so far are: Jean paul gaultier -'classique' and Calvin klein- 'contradiction'. If someone knows of some other perfumes along these lines please message me! Really want to find a new smell ;-) UPDATE: OK... its growing on me , i hated it before but after the chemical smell dies down it's actually quite nice - couldn't put my finger on it before but have just realised this smells really similar to Vera Wang 'princess'

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Rubenesque
rated 5 of 5
Bronz 2/2/2010 5:04:00 AM

I love this paint pot! It only goes on 'crease free' if i wear it with udpp (sin) underneath but it is a beautiful shimmery rose-gold colour. Retails for about $35 AUD which is not cheap But totally worth it! You almost dont need eyeshadow over-top coz it is so pretty.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 4 of 5
Bronz 1/31/2010 6:08:00 AM

My fave mascara at the moment - on to my second one. Approx $20 AUD. The only problem i have with this mascara is too much product comes out onto the wand so i usually have to wipe off excess before applying otherwise it gets clumpy and this is obviously wasteful. But i will still give this one a thumbs up :)

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
rated 4 of 5
Bronz 1/31/2010 5:58:00 AM

UDPP only works for me if i use it under a mac paint pot- then and only then do i stay 'crease free', If i only use one or the other i crease within a couple of hours. Again this product it quite pricey in Australia ($33 from cyberemporium.com.au). I really like the colour and it is nice used alone along the brow bone. Packaging is crapolla, somehow had air trapped in mine so whenever i would put the wand back in, product would get pushed out - so annoying! But will still continue to buy :)
