Lipstick -Bourjois - Rouge Connection Lipstick

This lippie is really nice, has a beautiful packaging (colourful and chic). The lipstick is a bit dry putting on, but leaves your lips soft and doesn't de-hydrate them (Actually, I'm glad that it's a bit matte). I have this in Modèle 25 (a nudeish beige) and Modèle 19 (A noticeable, vibrant coral-orange). I also had it in this light-plummish shade (Modele 7 I believe) but the lipstick broke. I haven't experienced this with the other ones though. It's a great product, I can recommend it to everyone!

Eye Shadow -Lancome - Color Focus Eyeshadow

I love this eyeshadow! I have it in Menthe a L'eau, a light mint-blue, with a cool, pinkish simmer to it. It was somewhat lighter on my skin than in the package, but still looks awesome. I bought this green eyemousse from Miss Sporty a while ago, and it didn't even show up on my skin! But when I apply this eyeshadow over it, the pinkish shimmer becomes intenser. Maybe a small recommedation? ;) Overall this eyeshadow is really long lasting but I find the thin, bended applicator a bit clumsy at times.

Lipstick -Revlon - MoistureStay Lip Color
Annique 3/29/2006 4:20:00 AM
I bought this in a drug store for 1 euro. My friend (with lower make-up standards than me) was looking for cheap make-up and found this lippie, but in a vibrant pink. I saw more lying around (some used, some heavily used, some not), and found this one. I have it in 10 Sheer Honey and it was un-used! For ONE Euro, this was just a steal. I don't know any shops in my area selling this lippie, that's why I am careful with it. It has a sort of minty flavour when you put it on, and you get this cool sensation on your lips. I love the natural look this gives (especially mixed with transparent gloss). Would definately buy again if I found it somewhere.

Polishes -Maybelline - Colorama 5 day nail color
Annique 3/29/2006 4:14:00 AM
I have this in a light, baby pink colour with a cool undertone. For 3,49 euro's a nail varnish, it's extremely cheap. Especially because it lasts long and has nice colours. The packaging is nothing spectacular, but looks quite nice. If you're looking for Budget Beauty, try this one!

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Rouge À Lèvres - Lipstick (general)
Annique 3/29/2006 4:11:00 AM
I bought this at my drug store. They had many dior products for 50% off. As a Dior fan, I don't need to say I bought some things. One of them was this lipstick, in 149 Cupids Rose (Rose Cupidon). It has a subtle, whisperlight floral scent, very nice. The colour is a super-soft light pink. It barely appears on your lips and looks beautiful. If you're going for a natural look, I HIGHLY recommend this lipstick. It doesn't feather or stain and lasts quite a long time. If I had to describe this lippie in no more than 10 words, I would say: A whisperlight veil of natural pink.

Highlighters -Estee Lauder - Exotic Shimmer All Over Highlighting Powder
Annique 3/29/2006 4:03:00 AM
Product: This is the most beautiful powder you've ever seen. It's a pinky-coral highlighting powder which goes from light to darker. It has a great 'colour-nuance effect'. It's not, colour block, colour block, but it smoothly fades into a more vibrant colour. Packaging: It's a nice carton box, which contains another carton box. The box is in that. I recommend carrying the product around in the double carton box, in your bag. The actual products box is a nice plastic, dark-blue box (almost black). In certain light, you can see straigth, vibrant blue lines shimmer at the edges of the product, it looks like electrical light. There is also a golden thingie in the right-down corner. It's easy to open. One con though is that there is no applicator with it. For a natural look, swirl over it with a big brush and apply on entire face for a glow. The excess loose powder can be put on a cotton wool dab and applied on cheeks for an even rosier glow. My overall grade: a big 4,5! I'd definately buy if it wasn't a limited edition :( so if you've been looking out for this highlighter and you're doubting, JUST DO IT! You won't be able to ever again.

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - 5 Couleur - Rose Gipsy 840
Annique 12/5/2005 4:37:00 AM
Product:
Dior 5 Couleurs in Rose Gypsy

Packaging: A chic darkblue compact like we know from Dior. Very smart and pretty
Product: Very long lasting (at least 8 hours on my oily skin!), pretty colour, very soft and creamy to apply. Colours: Bright light pink, pinky fuschia, cool light pink, cool mauve, light peach. Combinations: Horizontal Fuschia (colour effect,) peach (light effect,) mauve (shadow effect), and vertical (bright light pink for colour effect,) peach (shadow effect,) cool pink (light effect.) Wear the colours alone, use fuschia and bright light pink, or cool light pink and cool mauve for shadow/light effect. Combine with other Dior shadows (DiorArt Duo perhaps?) wear all of them, use the fuschia for a vibrant eyeliner colour, or find out your own awesome combination. And of course you can always wear just one colour, on the lower lid or over entire eye Rating: A big 5! UPDATE: I wish there was such thing as 15 stars, cause I'd give that to this eyeshadow! I found out when I use the light and vibrant pink, my brown eyes stand out a lot.

Lipstick -Bourjois - Lovely Rouge 02 Rose Essentiel
Annique 11/3/2005 5:58:00 AM
It's really nice lipstick in a natural pink. It has a smart packaging in the same colour, looks very cute, and even has a mirror on the cap! It applies well, and is very creamy. It smells nice too. But if you apply too much, which you do quickly because of the light colour, it doesn't look very nice. If you do that, just mix with a transparent gloss, it looks great. Would deffo re-buy

Eye Shadow -Bourjois - Suivez mon Regard - Multi Shimmer Loose Eye Shadow
Annique 11/3/2005 4:42:00 AM
This packaging is really smart, the colours are beautiful, the product shimmery on the skin. It's great. But it has a few minor flaws. It doesn't last really long and often the powder falls on my cheeks when applying. But it's great for the rest. Comes with its own brush. I have three and I like them. Would re-purchase

Blush -Bourjois - Blush
Annique 11/3/2005 4:39:00 AM
This blush is very nice. It's not delicate like the blush by L'oreal though, so try not to take too much powder on the brush. The packaging is nice, smart, and comes with mirror and applicator. The blush is in many beautiful colours. I took a pink colour, which I use for a veil of pink on my cheek. Very pigmentated, but overall excellent! The applicator has a smart 'bend' so when using it on the 'apples' on the cheeks it traces perfectly.

Eye Shadow -Bourjois - Effet Lumiere Eyeshadow Trio Les Pastels 54
Annique 11/3/2005 4:36:00 AM
I have always been very satisfied with the Effet Lumiere Trio's. I've had them in 5 colours now. So when I saw the spring 2005 look, I was sold. I bought it, to be quite dissappointed. The colours are way too sheer, I can't even see the pink one on my skin. Not even if I dampen the applicator. The green and blue are very light and shimmery. Nice if you want a natural, joi de vivre look, but a big no-no if you're a fan of colours. The packaging is okay, nicely coloured, the applicator nice and soft. But the colours are a no-no. This is the first time Bourjois ever dissappointed me. I won't buy the product again, not even for free. Give me something better then...

Blush -L'Oreal - Blush Delice
Annique 11/3/2005 4:31:00 AM
I was looking for a nice orange blush when I saw the blush delice by L'oreal. I bought it and tried it on. It's only 10 euro's, so the prices are okay. Not dirt cheap, not expensive. The packaging is beautiful, coloured the same colour as the blush. When you open the blush, the applicator 'sits' on the powder, but the powder is pressed. There is a little plastic around the applicator, and the applicator doesn't crumble the powder. My plastic is snapped now and it still doesn't. The product itself is very sheer on the cheeks, gives a nice, natural glow without stripes, without creasing, and lasts through the day. It has a delicate scent. Every colour is natural and nice. I recommend applying on cheeks first, then a little on chin, nose, and forehead for an all over healthy glow. If the applicator would have been in a seperate space in the packagaing the packaging quality would have gotten a 5. But overall, this one gets a perfect FIVE!

Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Eye Shadow Duo in All Colors
Annique 11/3/2005 2:47:00 AM
I had my eyes on this eyeshadow a while (Colour Moondust, dusty orange and yellow), because I wanted a soft colour. The colour of the packaging, the colour swatch on the site, and even the powder looks quite soft. But when I added some water to the orange and the colour became very intense, shimmery on my eyelid, and just beautiful! It just wasn't matte anymore. I can recommend to apply the centre shade wet on the eyelid above the upper lashes, and the light shade dry above the eyelid. It looks beautiful, creates a depth effect, and it looks so nice. The only thing that keeps this eyeshadow from a perfect five is the staying power, it's less good than Dior. If you plan on wearing this to school or the disco, refresh once or twice in the bathrooms.
