Eyeliner -Mally Beauty - Evercolor Lasting Liquid Eyeliner
ziebam 8/11/2009 4:05:00 PM
I dont write many reviews anymore, but i could not resist with this one. this product did not live up to my expectations. I was really just looking for the ultimate inner rim liner. This didnt last any longer than my UrbanDecay black eyeliner pencil. i actually wore one on each side and they both lasted the same amount of time. Huge dissappointment. ITs not budgeproof on the inner rims at all. plus its hard to put on. it gets inside your eyes so you have to hold your lid away from the eyeball for a few moments to dry. too messy. as a liquid liner on the lids though, it lasted all day without budging. i would only recommend this for someone looking for a standard liquid liner. retails for $25 plus shipping.

Eyeliner -Mally Beauty - Waterproof Evercolor Starlight eyeliners
ziebam 8/11/2009 4:02:00 PM
Nothing special here. For $22 plus shipping, you get three eyeliners. a standard black, shimmery coppery brown and shimmery teal green. Colors are fabulous. I found they last just as long as the Urban Decay 24-7 liners. THe colors are pretty but they do not last all day. WIll smudge after several hours. PRetty though and go on smoothly. would recommend if you dont have alot of other eyeliners otherwise its just like most brands longwearing pencil eyeliners.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Solar Bits - Impassioned
ziebam 7/18/2009 6:27:00 PM
i was one of the unlucky ones who got a half empty jar. But nonetheless, its still pretty. a shimmery browned taupe. Messy, but worth it for the color. You get a super metallic finish to this that is sometimes lacking in a regular eyeshadow. Can be used wet or dry.

Eye Primer -Pop Beauty - Eye Magnet Primer
ziebam 7/18/2009 6:24:00 PM
i thought this was pretty good. It reminds me of urban decays primer potion but a little heavier. it also has a peachy tint to it. Not in a bad way, but to give the eye, a smooth even toned appearance that brightens. did not show up weird on my nc30 light olive complexion. works equally as well as other eye primers i have tried. i would repurchase this.

Mascara -Urban Decay - Big Fatty Mascara
ziebam 6/20/2009 9:07:00 AM
My big thing with mascara is no smudging. I can not wear one that does in the South Florida heat. Well this doesnt smudge. Lasts all day. which is good right? well my second thing with mascara is to give me long dark lashes. This one does not do that. It barely looks like I have anything on. Its better for the natural look. Since i prefer more, this one will not be repurchased!

Powders -Morgen Schick - Whisper set powder
ziebam 5/13/2009 10:19:00 AM
Too light for me. I am an NC30 light olive complexion and this made me look too pale. i prefer other powders over this one. comes in a round pot with sifter and twist off lid.

Foundations -Morgen Schick - Hide & Highlight
ziebam 5/13/2009 10:17:00 AM
NOthing special here. I got the Hide and Highlight in Medium. I have light olive complexion in the NC30 range. Well, the colors in here were all too light or too dark. Didnt really cover well since i had a hard time mixing the shades so i couldnt get a good match. Also creased in my fine lines. I would skip this one unless you find a good color match in person.

Blush -Morgen Schick - Schick Stick - cheek & lip stain
ziebam 5/13/2009 10:14:00 AM
I got a clearance kit with this product in it from HSN.com. This is the old version that comes in a tube with doe foot sponge applicator. YUCK> its a dark browned berry color with cool undertones. Went on way too dark and was hard to blend and dried to fast. Benefit's Benetint and Lorac's lip stain products are much better than this one. I would not get the old packaging product of this.

Palettes -Cargo - Holiday Nights Collection
ziebam 5/13/2009 10:08:00 AM
Awful product. I got this on HSN.com for $12.50. I thought at that price, why not? Not because the quality is AWFUL. The shadows barely had any pigment, they were stiff and hard. Colors are colors you can get anywhere. Shimmery white, shimmery silver, shimmery dark grey and shimmery navy. All with micro glitter, yuck. The boogie nights pencil is a glittery silver thats also very hard and tugs. The soft pink blush had NO color payoff. Looked like i was highlighting my NC30 light olive complexion. It was not blush. The glitter gel pencil is just chunks of silver glitter in a gel to glide on your skin. Easy to use but who needs glitter chunks? The packaging was cute, a pucci-esque pattern but its just not worth the price for the crappy products inside.

Eye Shadow -Clinique - Maple Blossom LE Spring 09
ziebam 3/19/2009 5:20:00 PM
I cant believe so many people liked this. I own alot of the color surge shadows and like them alot. I also own all the flower blushes so when these came out for Spring 2009, i ordered all 4 sight unseen. What a disappointment. For $17.50 you get a small square shadow compact with the flower print on the top and a lighter and darker shade. Maple Blossom is the shimmery taupe one. (There is also Apple Blossom, shimmery pale mint green, Cherry Blossom shimmery pink, and Tiger Lily, shimmery peachy copper.) Maple Blossom is not pigmented at all. I really have to layer this to get enough color. I know the shadows were marketed as sheer washes of color but come on more pigment. ITs a pretty soft taupe color. I wish i didnt buy any of these.

Palettes -Stila - Precious Pearl Palette
ziebam 2/21/2009 8:28:00 AM
I cant believe no one has done a review on this yet, so here goes. THe Precious Pearl Palette came out early 2009. For $40 you get a set of six shadows infused with crushed pearl. Sephora.com says this product is:
"An opulent shadow palette featuring six iridescent eyeshadow shades—all infused with genuine crushed pearl.
What it does:
Stila The Precious Pearl Palette features six new silky smooth eyeshadow shades that are infused with genuine crushed pearl. A natural wonder, pearl minimizes the appearance of fine lines and leaves skin with a youthful, radiant glow. It also contains minerals and proteins which nourish the skin leaving it smooth and soft. These six must-have eyeshadow shades, that can be worn alone or together, create an endless number of brilliant looks. They are tucked inside a vintage-inspired compact with real mother-of-pearl detail.
This set contains:
- White Gold (soft creamy white with gold shimmer)
- Soft Pink (light pink with pink and white shimmer)
- Mid-tone Pink (neutral warm pink with pink shimmer)
- Deep Blue (dark blackish navy with blue shimmer)
- Green (intense mermaid green with blue and green shimmer)
- Gold (deep gold with yellow and gold shimmer)"
Here are my thoughts. Shadows are all excellent quality, soft, easy to blend and nicely pigmented.
You get a shimmery white with a hint of gold to it. Shimmery pale pink, Shimmery rose, Shimmery vibrant emerald green, shimmery navy and shimmery golden olive. All shades have great shimmer and pigment and arent over the top. I dont notice any irridescence as quoted but they are still pretty. Comes in a sleek white metal compact with a faux mother of pearl face. Would i say the shadows are especially unique? No, they can definately be duplicated but these are quite nice.

Palettes -Stila - Barbie Loves Stila Paint Can Palette - 2000 #4 Jewel Doll
ziebam 2/21/2009 8:21:00 AM
I also picked this up for the can but overall have been impressed. For $40 you get a cute Barbie can and inside is a full size gloss in Jewel, a full size mascara and a Barbie palette with 2 shadows and a blush. I did not try the gloss or mascara so no comment there. However, the palette is pretty. Its the old cardboard style with Barbie on the front. Inside you get a shimmery light pink and a shimmery taupey midtone brown. The slight taupeyness to this gives it a little pizazz with a cool undertone to it. Very pretty. The blush is a soft pink. a little cool and a little light for my NC30 light olive complexion but it works. I wouldnt say any of the colors are especially unique but they are still pretty and good pigment This is basically a packaging purchase for me.

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain
ziebam 2/21/2009 8:06:00 AM
OVerall, I think this is a pretty good product. The old Stila lipmakers dried out too fast and the old Urban Decay ones didnt have a good color selection. With that being said, i picked this up in Coy Coral. It is BRIGHT. I have to blot it and wear a gold gloss over this to tone it down. I do find that it lasts most of the day with gradual fading throughout. Does tend to get pinkish as it fades on me. I would like to try this in a more muted color.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Luxe
ziebam 2/21/2009 8:03:00 AM
I love the original Lash Blast so I had to rush out and grab this. Picked this up for $7 at Walgreens. Got the Platinum which is supposed to have silvery shimmer to it. It doesnt. Looks like plain black mascara to me. I do notice a difference between this formula and the original. I think this new formula didnt lengthen as much. I do think this one is easier to get off than the original as well. i will stick with the original.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Underground 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
ziebam 2/11/2009 5:51:00 PM
Wanted to love this but it totally smudges on me after about 5 hours. Can only wear this for a short period with no outside heat! I love the color though. Underground is a gorgeous shimmery taupe with a chocolate hint to it. Really pretty color. Too bad about the smudging but i will keep it for the color. Retails for $16.
