Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
yajuwen 7/13/2011 4:47:00 PM

This is one of MAC's top-rated product. I found it's not for me. Yes, it give a photo-perfect skin while the powder breaks me out sometimes and changes color throughout the day. When I just apply, the color is a perfect match (NC15-20) but 30 minutes later, I look like applying too much bronzer all over my face no matter which liquid foundation I use. Will not buy this again.

Highlighters -MAC - Beauty Powder in Drizzlegold
rated 5 of 5
yajuwen 7/13/2011 4:37:00 PM

This is my favorite MAC product by far. I love this much more than MSF. This powder is finely-milled and gives just right amount of shimmer/glow while, sometime, MSF seems glittery in person. I like how blendable and buildable it is. I can apply sheer all over my face but can use it as blush. Like this, would love to get other shades if possible. The lasting powder is quite well, stays on all day. LOVE this!

Blush -NARS - Sex Appeal
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 7/6/2011 1:30:00 AM

This is an everyday blush for pale people! It's a very soft pale peach. It's like a natural flush on me. I think the matte finish is wonderful as I don't really need shimmers and glitters all the time (Orgasm, I am talking to you). As all the NARS blushes I have, it doesn't change color, doesn't fade, doesn't make me a walking tangerine with good lasting power.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Nuance
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 7/6/2011 1:22:00 AM

This is by far the only blush on me I can call it peach. I have very warm undertone, which makes most of the peach/coral blushes look orange. Interestingly, I can't find a trace of pink in pan but when on my cheeks, it's a lovely mid-tone peach. Same as other mineralize blushes, I think the lasting power is okay and mini kabuki is the only brush to apply this blush, which is definitely a con if you don't have one. The other con I can come out is this is a limited edition.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Pleasantry
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 7/6/2011 1:16:00 AM

Love the color! Several things to say. First, it is sheer and is long wearing but not all day wearing, probably about eight hours on me. Second, I can only use 182/181se to apply this. None of my brushes work for this. This is definitely a con if you don't have a mini kabuki. Third, this is a limited edition and MAC launches this kind of blue pink a hundred times as limited edition. I do feel that MAC's doing a trick to get every penny out off their customer. I think it's a great color with acceptable but not decent quality/texture for the price.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Nouveau Monde Duo
rated 3 of 5
yajuwen 7/1/2011 1:05:00 AM

I love Nars duo and I already has seven, but this one is the least worth of the money I paid. The lilac has some fall off issue but I can live with it. The emerald green is perfect in pan but turns out a mid-tone greenish brown on me. I can live with it as well since all those crazy swirl mineral eyeshadows never show their colors in pan. However, the lasting power is what really disappoints me. I found it creases, not very noticeable but yes, it creases in those days at around 75 degrees. Also, the color fades. I never had this problem with Nars before. I do feel that the texture of Nouveau Monde is pretty frosty (lilac) and dry (emerald green). They are a little bit hard to apply and less pigmented compared to other duos I have. I do love what I got right at when I finish the look but I don't like what I find at the end of day.

Lip Treatments -MAC - Suntints Liquid Lip Balm - Pink Tinge
rated 1 of 5
yajuwen 5/30/2011 9:12:00 PM

I tried to like this but I can't. It is very sticky, not hydrating and not comfortable to wear, plus $14.5 for 10ml is quite pricy for the quality. I don't care about the color as it's very sheer and the shimmers are very very subtle. The only good things about this is the true glossy finish and lasting power. However, it's a drying lip gloss, there's no way that I can possibly appreciate the lasting power.

Powder -Elizabeth Arden - Pure Finish Mineral Makeup
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 5/22/2011 11:21:00 PM

Generally I love this product. I got #1 which has nice color, probably the best match I've ever have. The color change a little during the first hour but I'm fine with that. I love the creamy, buttery texture and the soft, semi-mate look. I feel it's really a light weight foundation and provides great overage at the same time. It isn't drying at all but isn't able to give oil/shine control during the hot summer. This doesn't really bother me while the foundation stays in place and looks fine after 8 hrs, which is really good enough. One thing I really don't like is the packaging. Personally, I hate the shredding packaging though the manufactures are always saying this gives fresh powders, better hygiene, which are both true. However, I found it's hard to get just right amount of powder. The puff comes with this does a good job but makes the container more messy. Yes, it's for better hygiene but it's not ergonomic. For this reason, I drop one overall point and not buy this again. For the powder itself, it's definitely a worth buy.

Highlighters -NARS - Illuminator in Copacabana
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 5/22/2011 11:06:00 PM

I love this illuminator. I don't use it over powder makeup but use it only as/mix with a primer. I'd say this illuminator is adding shimmers instead of any color. On my yellow-undertoned fair skin, it's transparent with very subtle shimmers. I love the glowy look I got with a powder foundation followed up. I'm not a big fan of the multiple sticks because I have to spend $39 for a product I don't use that much. For this illuminator's price ($28) and such watery consistancy, it's much more acceptable. However, it's not a versatile product for me. I would not used it other than a primer.Though the shimmer is subtle, it makes anything oily without powdered, even eyes. Also, it's drying, so I won't use it on my lips. For the packaging, it's probably the best quality nars can ever, ever have. I can easily squeeze out whatever amount I want and this packaging does NOT gather fingerprints, dirts or makeup residues. One last thing, Copacabana is lovely shade and has wonderful texture and shimmers, but, for now, I am not considering to purchase any other shades because these illuminators don't really add enough color but lots lots of shimmers, and somehow the glitters (super orgasm) make me feel scratchy while applying.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil
rated 5 of 5
yajuwen 5/22/2011 10:24:00 PM

Amazing! It's the best eyeshadow pencil I've ever used! These pencils are highly pigmented, easy to apply, to blend and extremely waterproof and smudge-proof. And, easy to remove. I bought two - sin and rehab. They works great as both eyeshadow pencils and eyeliners. All these two pencils plus a mascara are all I need for my eyes. With these, I don't need to check my makeup after workouts or a tough day. For $20, I think it's a fair price for the quality and the amount of product I got. Since it's versatile (eyeshadow and eyeliner), I think it's a great buy while $18 for a eyeliner which is 1/3 amount is expensive for a pencil needed to be sharpen so often.

Treatments -Dr. Brandt - Lineless Gel
rated 3 of 5
yajuwen 5/14/2011 2:40:00 AM

I like this product but not into it. I feel this gel leave my skin hydrated, which I love. However, it's a great hydrating gel for me in summer and nothing more. It does plump the skin around my dry pores and, as a result, make the pores looks smaller. I'd call it hydrating but, never, anti-aging. I got this BOGO plus 35% off tax free. I think it's a fair price ($32.5) and I won't pay more than $40 for this.

Eyeliner -Stila - Kajal Eyeliner in Rose Quartz
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 5/14/2011 2:31:00 AM

I love this color and it's a good eyeliner for me. It's a very subtle light rosy-taupe with a just right amount of shimmer on me. It stays in place, never crease or smudge. I do appreciate this as the texture is so creamy and easy to apply. However, I do find how often I need to sharpen this pencil - over 1.5" in a month! The speed I'm running out of it makes it a pricy product while my dior last over 1.5 year. I would definitely buy this again but sadly it's no longer available :\

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
rated 4 of 5
yajuwen 5/12/2011 3:28:00 AM

Love the buildable coverage, glowing finish and the staying power. I don't think it's something can be associated with "lightweight". I feel like I am putting lots of things on my face every time I use it but I can live with it. I gave my #32 away because of the poor match which is best already. If I can find a good match, I will buy this again.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
rated 2 of 5
yajuwen 5/12/2011 3:22:00 AM

Nothing impressive. Moderately hydrating, moderately long lasting and moderately performance. I don't feel like it's an everyday lotion because I do sometimes break out and wake up with oil all over my face which rarely happen with other much heavier cream. Also, I don't really feel the softening and smoothing mentioned by Clinique. For a huge bottle of basic lotion goes a really long way, I think $24.5 is a fair price.

Lipstick -NARS - Love Devotion
rated 5 of 5
yajuwen 5/5/2011 3:30:00 AM

Love this. Though it's a bold orange stick but it gives me adorable coral lips. The texture is superb. Smooth to apply, great payoff and never drying out. Fair price for what the quality.
