Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
xspookykittyx 2/17/2010 11:07:00 AM
I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews for this! This is actually one of my staples that I buy over and over again. The felt tip gives me more control than any other liquid liner tip, and the formula is intense and very black. I did get a "bad" one once that was kinda watery and I needed two coats instead of one. This doesn't flake like Maybelline Line Stiletto did on me (theirs has the same felt tip). I do get compliments when I do the cat's eye or the winged eye with this.

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - Winter Candy Apple Body Lotion

This smells like old-school Herbal Essences! Not a bad smell at all, just kind of faint and wish it were just a bit stronger. At least now I know I'm not nuts since other reviewers thought it smelled like HE...lol

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - p.s. I love you

I thought the comment about this smelling like maxi pads was hilarious! lol...I very much dislike this fragrance. It's supposed to have notes of rose, incense, and champagne. I can kind of smell the champagne but it smells more like cat pee. P.S. I Loathe You! :)

Hair Color -Clairol - natural instincts cinnaberry
xspookykittyx 11/11/2009 9:40:00 PM
This is my regular haircolor along with NI Egyptian Plum. I use it in the Spring/Summer and go for Egyptian Plum during Fall/Winter. It's a great auburn shade that is bright enough for my taste but not so bright it looks fake (not that that's a bad thing in my book lol). Application is easy, and it only takes 10 minutes to develop though you can leave it on for longer if you'd like a deeper color, and it still won't hurt your hair. I quit using permanent color a while ago for the health of my hair and this is the best semi permanent I've found. The others like Jazzing, etc. are very runny and wash out a lot/stain things every time you wash, and they don't stay very long. This color also colors greys moderately well.

Conditioner -Aubrey Organics - Honeysuckle Rose
xspookykittyx 11/4/2009 6:36:00 PM
Wonderful conditioner, I used it after reading reviews form many other curly girls. This is actually not that expensive if you use it in rotation w/other conditioners like I do. It's also quite thick, so you don't need to use a lot each time. i have somewhat thick hair that's curly and waist length, and i still don't use that much of this. You can also find it cheaper on sale which makes it an even better value! the smell is fine to me...more honeysuckle than rose and it doesn't stay with you, it's very pleasant though.

Treatments -Aphogee - Two-Step Protein Treatment (formerly Treatment for Damaged Hair)
xspookykittyx 11/4/2009 6:21:00 PM
This is one of my staples. It's great for color treated, damaged, curly, any type of hair really. It works to strengthen my hair much better than silicones! Every month I use this to keep my hair strong, after using it my curls are so much bouncier and shinier. Keep in mind you'll most likely need a MOISTURIZING treatment after this, a regular conditioner will do fine. Protein on its own, which is what this product is basically, strengthens hair but can also make it feel a little rough and brittle. Yes this product sticks, but the payoff is worth it lol...you have to wait until the product dries in your hair, and your hair will become very hard so you must not manipulate it and be gentle. I bought a smaller 4 oz. bottle of this several months ago and still have most of it left...it was around $5 so is MUCH more than worth it! :)

Conditioner -Alberto Vo5 - Calming Chamomile Tea Nourishing Conditioner
xspookykittyx 11/4/2009 6:08:00 PM
I love these V05 conditioners to use as conditioner washes for my curly hair. I don't use the shampoos since they are harsh on my hair, but I just use the conditioners as you would a shampoo. It is actually very cleansing! I love the smell and rotate between all the different scents of conditioner, as I haven't seen a different in the actual formulas. These are not very conditioning unless you have finer hair or if it's a little oily. I get a about a week's worth, maybe a little more, of washes from one bottle of this. They are VERY cheap, and you can find them as low as .79 cents on sale :)

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector
xspookykittyx 11/4/2009 2:57:00 PM
The BEST hand cream! I used to work for TBS and this was an employee and customer favorite. It's not hard to close the package, it's just most people squeeze out way too much product when you really only need a little bit and that's when it tends to ooze out of the tip. It's thick, moisturizing and creamy without being greasy, and the smell is faintly patchouli-ish but not too strong and doesn't last too long. This isn't that expensive when you see how long it lasts, either.

Styling Products -Sunsilk - Captivating Curls Gel & Cream Twist
xspookykittyx 11/4/2009 12:45:00 AM
This made my hair drier than the Sahara...I used it with the corresponding conditioner. I think I got sucked in by the packaging lol...the product smelled nice and I got compliments, but it did not define or hold my curls in any way and as i said, made my hair SO dry.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen mascara
xspookykittyx 10/22/2009 11:19:00 PM
This mascara really didn't work for me...I've had great experiences with most L'Oreal products but was disappointed in this one. It clumped a lot and flaked too.

Eye Shadow -Hard Candy - Techno Eye Shadow Quad [DISCONTINUED]
xspookykittyx 10/22/2009 4:00:00 PM
I got this several years ago with some gift money lol, since $35 is way out of my budget for an eyeshadow compact. The shades are awesome and unique, and are great to wear together or separately. I hope they make some reincarnation of this quad and the others for the WalMart line.

Eye Shadow -Hard Candy - Kal-eye-descope Baked Duo Break Up
xspookykittyx 10/22/2009 3:56:00 PM
This is a great eyeshadow duo- the colors are complimentary but you can also use them separately. I think they are somewhat unique in a d/s brand and are very pigmented. I used an eyeshadow brush to apply both shades but a sponge applicator would probably give a deeper color, which I will try next time. The price is right and you get two highly pigmented colors, and it's large amount of eyeshadow for your money :) I also have the "Ab Fab" shade and the "Bad Reputation" shade and will probably be getting more :)
