Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL

I am so glad that I got a small sample of this foundation from the Bare Escentuals website because I did not like it at all. It was way too cakey and heavy on my skin. I have extremely oily skin and this foundation did not work for me at all. It is not a completely matte foundation; if you look closely, there are is noticeable shimmer in it. Though it applied cakey, this foundation made me look and feel very very greasy within an hour. The coverage was, eh, not so great either. Also since it is a loose powder, it is also messy to apply. This foundation got everywhere. I'd probably just use the rest of the product as a light bronzer. Though I do enjoy enjoy using mineral makeup, this product was just not for me.

Lipstick -MAC - Half-N-Half

MAC Half n Half is a really great neutral/ nude color for gals who have a tanner or darker skin tone. This lipstick might look too brown and muddy on girls with fairer skin tones. Half n Half comes off as a nudey pink color. Because of the pink undertones in this lipstick, it isn't too hard to pull off. This doesn't make my lips look like ghost lips and compliments my skin tone and any eye makeup I wear. It is an amplified lipstick so it has great color payoff. The scent of this lipstick is amazing, it smells like sugar! The consistency is really creamy and glides on the lips with ease. This the perfect nude color for my lips, and this is the lipstick I reach for the most.

Lips -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
rated 3 of 5

I am absolutely in love with the lip butter line from Revlon, and Peach Parfait was the first color I picked up. It is a pretty peachy-pink color with gold shimmer in it. While I love the color, I didn't so much like the texture. It felt slightly gritty to me. When the lip butter wore off, there were flecks of gold glitter all over my lips. And no guy wants to kiss that! Though the formula is quite moisturizing, and the color payoff is great, I wish it didn't have that much shimmer in it. If you like a lot of shimmer in your lip color and want a really natural peachy-pink lip color, you might want to consider it. However, this just didn't work out for me.

Foundations -Clinique - Clinique Perfectly Real Radiant Skin Compact Makeup
rated 3 of 5

This was one of my first high-end makeup purchases that I ever made. So far, I really like this face powder. I purchased this at the Clinque counter at Macy's for $28. I got the shade 122 (N), and it matches my skin tone pretty well. This powder is light weight and blends into my skin quite nicely. It doesn't leave a white cast on my face; however, if applied too heavy, it can look cakey. This product also doesn't oxide on the face. I typically wear this powder over a liquid foundation as a setting powder, but I find there is a sheer to medium coverage when worn alone as a powder foundation. This packaging is also very nice; its in a green compact with a good sized mirror and powder puff. Though I really do like this powder, I wouldn't consider it by any means amazing or an HG product. It was good, but I'm still out looking for another face powder.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Panther
rated 5 of 5

I've got two words for this product. HOLY COW. This WnW eyeshadow is crazy pigmented! One light swipe across the pan delivers the blackest black I have ever seen in my life. Hands down, this product is a billion times better than MAC carbon. This shadow is also MATTE BLACK. FINALLY, a drugstore eyeshadow that is MATTE. There's no glitter, no shimmer, no duo-chromatic tendencies, just straight up matte black. The shadow is super soft, making it easy to blend. It is also a multi-purpose product. I use this to line my eyes/waterline and also as a definer color for a smokey eye. And the best part is, this eyeshadow is only $1.99! This product is a must-buy.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush - Mellow Wine 833D

This was my first WnW purchase, and I've got to say, I couldn't be happier! I bought this blush at a BOGO deal at CVS so it was even cheaper than the already low price! This blush is super pigmented, a light tap in the pan is more than enough to apply to your cheeks. It is a rosy/plummy/pink color which is perfect for the fall and winter months. I have received so many compliments wearing this blush because it gives me the "just got out of the cold" look. The only negative things I can say about this blush is that is is super soft, so it is prone to breaking easily if dropped. Some people complain about the crumbliness of the blush, but I personally don't mind; it just makes it easy to blend out. Also the packaging is flimsy and cheap, but for $2/$3, I'm not going to complain. Aside from those minor issues, I love this blush. Definitely an HG product for me.
