Eyeliner -Shiseido - Fine Liquid Eyeliner
xmifaz 1/14/2008 10:55:00 AM
I used this product for 2 years without realising that other brands of liquid eyeliner only takes a few seconds to dry and wont smudge while the shiseido fine liquid eyeliner takes ages to dry, 5-10 minutes and it will still smudge if i don't blot the liner with a cotton bud. It's not a very good formula considering diorliner only takes 5 seconds to dry and will never smudge. I only used this product on and off because it was such a hassle waiting for it to dry (because I only use liquid liner to line the eyelid area) and it would always smudge and transfer onto my eyelids at the end of the day. The packaging is nice but the formula is not good at all. I fully recommed diorliner for it's staying power and quick dry formula.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes - Chocolate Lustre
xmifaz 1/14/2008 12:23:00 AM
This is my favourite pencil eyeliner to line the bottom of my eyes. It has the best staying power of all the pencil eyeliners I have tried and I do not have to re-apply throughout the day. I love the dark brown colour of chocolate lustre and the slight shimmer it delivers. I am asian and I find black eyeliners too harsh to line the botton of my eyes but dark brown is perfect. For daytime I apply this product lightly and at night I apply many layers for a more dramatic look. I really really love the shimmer (which is subtle enough for the office when applied lightly) and it is non-sumdging and long lasting. I have also purchased the Egyptian and Brown Sugar colours but my favourite is Chocolate Lustre, it's really pretty and perfect for all occasions and I use it everyday. It is a soft formula so do not apply too much pressure during application, rather apply many layers for a darker look. I find that one pencil will last 6-8 months with daily use and it is not too expensive as well.

Eyeliner -Christian Dior - Diorliner
xmifaz 1/14/2008 12:08:00 AM
This is a great liquid eyeliner. I use it everyday to line the top of my eyes. Previously I had been using the shiseido liquid eyeliner and it took 5-10 minutes to dry completely and i still had to blot over the liner with a cotton bud so it would not smudge with wear throughout the day. I through all liquid liners took a while to dry so did not try any other brands until Diorliner came in a GWP and I was so happy to discover that it would dry in literally 5-10 seconds and has incredible staying power and does not smudge at all! My makeup routine is so much quicker now that I dont have to hold each eyelid shut for 5-10 minutes so the liquid can dry. I only use liquid eyeliner for the top of my eyes not the bottom, I prefer pencil to line the bottom of my eyes (I use clinique cream shaper for eyes)

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Cream
xmifaz 1/13/2008 11:55:00 PM
I did not find this moustriser to be anything special, it's very similar to generic drugstore creams. It's not bad as it did not break me out or irritate my skin but I was looking for a moustriser that would not be too greasy but also moustrise dry/flaky patches which I found the ultra facial cream did not do. I used this product for 2 weeks but found it too be too greasy and did not improve the condition of my skin. I personaly perfer the Abyssine cream. The ultra facial cream is probably better suited for people with dry-normal skin who are looking for a basic moustriser.

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Abyssine cream
xmifaz 1/13/2008 9:04:00 AM
This moustriser is really wonderful, I have re-purchased my 4th jar and i'm loving the fact that i've finally found my hg moustriser. My skin is quite dry and sensitive but moustrisers for dry skin types tend to make my face look greasy at the end of the day and in warmer weather my t-zone can become a bit oily after wearing liquid makeup for a few hours so its important for me to use a moustriser that will moustrise my dry areas but can also act as a good base for foundation as I am not a fan of make up primers or serums. Abyssine cream is amazing because it absorbs really well into my skin after application so it doesn't look shiny like many other moustriers for dry skin types, my face looks "matt" after application but unlike moustrisers targeted for combination or normal skin types, Abyssine cream has actually healed all my dry patches. I have previously had to apply a second more "oily" moustriser over my dry patches after applying a normal moustriser so i'm happy that I don't have to do this anymore. This will also suit people with combination, normal skin and sensitive skin as I am prone to itchy red skin reactions to many products and I have not reacted to this product at all. I have only recently tried the Kiehls range of products and I am very happy with the overall quality of this brand and especially the wonders of this moustriser! I also recommend giving Abyssine cream a go if you find ultra facial cream too oily as it absorbs really well whilst healing dry patches. If anyone has had trouble with the effects of moustriers being either too oily or too dry than Abyssine cream may be the answer.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy tubes in Peche
xmifaz 8/18/2007 11:04:00 AM
This is my favourite everyday gloss! I like my glosses to be sticky because they last longer! This shade is perfect for daytime, it's more of a medium pink with a pearly shimmer rather then a true peach shade. I like the scent and it's not too strong. I wear it to work everyday and at night I wear it over lipstick for added shine. I have re-purchased this gloss many times but last month decided to give two new glosses a try: dior kiss (358) and lancome color fever gloss (300) - both are nice but not as good as juicy tubes peche... imo the packaging of the color fever gloss is much nicer but juicy tubes peche will most definitely be my number one gloss.

Blush -NARS - Cream Blush in Penny Lane
xmifaz 8/18/2007 10:22:00 AM
I am Stila 30 Watts and this blush gives my skin a nice pink flush which is buildable. Pennylane is a light pink blush with a hint of shimmer, it's very pretty and easy to apply with fingertips, i usually blend it in with a brush for a more subtle effect, perfect to wear alone for daytime. This shade suits those with pale skin tones, for a stronger effect at nightime I combine pennylane with orgasm, it's perfect!

Blush -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Blush #2
xmifaz 8/18/2006 9:29:00 AM
This blush is really nice! it's very sheer so i find that i need to apply a few layers to achieve the colour i need but otherwise the perfect blush for the daytime, but perhaps not pigmented enough for going out at night/clubbing.

Moisturizers -Dermalogica - Skin Smoothing Cream
xmifaz 8/18/2006 9:23:00 AM
I dont like this product, it makes my skin break out after using it a few times, i stopped using it for a few months and used it again for 2 days and the same breakouts & congestions occur. This product makes my dry/combo skin feel extremely congested and i dont see any benefits at all. very disappointed with this product because of all the raves.

Moisturizers -Vichy - Thermal Fix 1
xmifaz 3/15/2006 8:51:00 PM
i just remembered that this is the WORST MOISTURIZER I'VE EVER TRIED!! i tried it about 2 years ago and it's scarred me for life (literally). The second i put this moisturiser on my face, a burning sensation developed on my cheeks... given that my combo skin is somewhat sensitive, i have never ever experienced such a sudden reaction to product, most reactions that i've had to moisturisers are just mild redness etc after a few days of usage, but this vichy moisturizer was so horrible! i was stupid enough not to wash it off right away, i kinda ignored the burning and went to bed ...bad bad bad idea...the next day 2 very visible red patches develped on both my cheeks...i washed my face with cetaphil and it actually stung! i couldn't believe gentle cetaphil actually stung my face... my whole face became extremely sensitive to many of my usual products and i switched to a cream cleanser which was better. The red patches on my cheeks were visible for 3 whole months after using Thermal Fix only once...and left me with a faint red patch (scar?) on my cheeks still to this day...... i'm not exaggerating at all ........please AVOID!!! it's not worth trying this! it was also the first time i used vichy and never again!

Concealers -Becca - Concealer compact
xmifaz 3/14/2006 10:16:00 PM
I brought this to use as an under eye concealer - i love the small compact with mirror and the 2 coverages but it is cakey and drying *best applied with a concealer brush, not fingers.

Foundations -Stila - Perfecting Stick Foundation
xmifaz 3/14/2006 9:48:00 PM
I use this as a concealer on my cheeks and around my nose. I wouldnt use a stick foundation on my whole face thou. I really like it. It has a good texture and its not drying at all. It's perfect as an extra coverage foundation on areas after appllying a sheer foundation on the whole face.

Loose Powders -Giorgio Armani - micro fil loose powder
xmifaz 3/14/2006 9:35:00 PM
Love it! When i first tried it on the back of my hand, it looked really really sparkly but on my face it goes on very sheer and the sparkles are only subtle. This powder sets makeup perfectly and blends with skin well without an obvious powdery look. Only a little powder is needed for a full face and it will last ages and is well worth the price.

Bronzers -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Bronzer #1
xmifaz 3/14/2006 9:23:00 PM
This is a nice bronzer - it looks very dark but goes on sheer in a golden bronze color, thou I wouldn't have picked this color out if it wasnt for the SA =) It blends very nicely with blush on cheeks or even as a blush sub in summer and is suitable to wear all over the face if applied lightly. I wore this bronzer all summer. Costs approx AUD$90, it comes in a mirror compact.
