Lip Treatments -eos - LE Strawberry Sorbet & Passionfruit 2-Pack
ximachikenx 3/20/2012 7:03:00 PM
This wasn't as good as I had hoped but I still like it. I have the strawberry sorbet one and the smell is a little bit funky. Also, this isn't as moisturizing as my favorite Burt's Bees lipbalms. However, the packaging is pretty cute and because it is so fat it is easy to apply. Would probably purchase again in a different flavor :)
I bought this in Pink Punch at Walmart for only about $2 and I am very happy with it. For such an inexpensive product the pigmentation is very good and it's a very vibrant cute pink color. It is quite moisturizing but it still does make my lips a little flaky but nothing too bad. Plus the smell is amazing. Would definitely purchase again in a different color!
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide-On Eyepencil in Oil Slick

I got a mini size of this with another color when Sephora had a 15% off sale. This is a black with silver glitter flecks. Like all Urban Decay liners, it's very creamy and soft and pigmented. The glitters aren't too noticeable but probably not ideal to use this in a formal work setting. This product is nice but I wouldn't purchase again; I'd rather just get normal black.
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
ximachikenx 2/1/2012 7:24:00 PM
I got this as a birthday present right before all the hype started. Tutti Frutti is a nice coral-orange color on my lips, it's pretty glossy and is definitely opaque for a balm-type lippie. It isn't as moisturizing as you'd expect since flakes can still show up but it's not drying. Packaging is pretty good, though I find for mine it doesn't retract all the way. I'll definitely be trying some other colors though :)
I purchased the Clarisonic Mia after much deliberation at the end of September, and to be really honest I'm a little disappointed with it. I read such glowing reviews that I thought this would improve my skin a lot. I mainly bought it so that I wouldn't have to use cleansing oil to remove my makeup and also to improve the texture of my skin. It has done that to a certain extent but it hasn't done anything like drastically reduce the appearance of clogged pores/blackheads, nor does it make the skin that much nicer. If you can afford it, it is a good tool to have since it does do a better job of cleansing than just using your fingers, but I wouldn't say it's a huge necessity.
I received this as a birthday gift, and I quite like this. I know a lot of people aren't a fan of matte finishes but I personally think they look great and Matte About You does a great job of giving that rubberized look. I agree that this starts to look a little more satiny/shiny after a few days so I took off one star but otherwise it's great. I haven't experienced any chipping unlike many of the other reviewers so this is a great product for me!
I wanted to switch perfumes after using DKNY Be Delicious for a long time, but didn't get this for a long time until I was at the duty free in Taipei. It is very expensive but Daisy is a great scent that all people can wear. It's very fresh and fruity-floral smelling and is a little more sophisticated than Be Delicious. It's a great everyday perfume for school or work. The only thing I don't like is that it isn't very long lasting, but it's a toilette so it's not particularly strong anyway. It is very expensive but I would still purchase again.
Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Target Eye Makeup Remover
ximachikenx 11/7/2011 11:58:00 PM
Purchased this at Target a couple of months ago when I ran out of my usual Equate eye makeup remover; wanted to try this to compare the two. I think that the Up & Up is a little more oily than the Equate and leaves quite a greasy residue but seems to perform a tiny bit better. I would say they are pretty much the same though. I would repurchase it in case I don't want to drive to Walmart which is farther from my house.
Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream

This is an excellent basic moisturizer. It's good for normal to oily skin types I think. It has a very nice refreshing scent and has a light cool texture, great for summer. It's very good for the price at around $6-$7 at Target, I don't expect it to do much more than lightly moisturize my skin and that's exactly what it does. The packaging is very sturdy and doesn't look too cheap. Would definitely purchase again but if you're expecting anything more than a basic moisturizer then look somewhere else.
Ehh, this was definitely a miss for me. I have a sample size that comes in a deluxe set and I used it while I was on vacation for two weeks. It's got a really weird smell and it's very runny and doesn't emulsify well. Definitely will not buy a full size, it's also not that cheap. Don't recommend.
I have this cleansing oil that comes in a yellow bottle. It is $299NT, about $10 USD. It's a pretty good alternative to the Shu Uemura cleansing oil if you don't want to spend the money. It's a little bit thicker and doesn't emulsify quite as well but it smells nice and does what it's supposed to. The only qualm I have is that if you get some on the sides of the bottles or it runs down and dries up it is hard to clean up. However I definitely recommend it and am on my second bottle.
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - NARUKO - Niaouli & Tea Tree Acne Clay Cleanser
ximachikenx 10/10/2011 9:11:00 PM
I love this cleanser. It's cheap, smells great, feels great. It's about $199NT if you buy it in Taiwan at Watson's or on naruko.com.tw so it's about the same price as an American drugstore cleanser. It's great for acne prone skin because it helps to keep skin matte. Because of the refreshing tea tree smell it's great to use both day and night; in the day I'll use it with my fingers and at night I use it with my Clarisonic Mia. It gives the face a cool tingly sensation and makes skin feel really clean. I'll definitely repurchase :)
Purchased at a nail supply store for $2.50. It's a very very pretty brownish red color that really does look like chocolate! I don't quite like this formula, it's a little watery and takes awhile to build up to a nice creamy brown color but at least it's not goopy. Will repurchase again.
I got a sample of this at a beauty store and after one use I know I will definitely not be buying this. This is the only lotion I've used that has balled up on my skin after applying sunscreen. It was quite terrible. However I would say that it seemed to do an okay job of moisturizing. Didn't use it more to comment on its pimple fighting properties but seriously, what kind of lotion would ball up on your skin -.- I know that Dermatologica products are quite expensive so definitely not worth it for me.
This is a great product for those with dry hair. It has the signature tsubaki scent and does not strip hair. The only thing I don't like is that I think it is a little too moisturizing for a shampoo, as my scalp gets oily a little faster than when I use a regular drugstore shampoo. It comes in a handy pump dispenser if you buy the bigger bottle and if you run out you can buy a refill bag instead of another bottle :) Though it does make my hair a little oily I would still repurchase just because Tsubaki products are really really great.
