I wish I could type this in really tiny font. I think this is pretty, I think I could wear this often. I've wanted to gag after A La Nuit, less so from Carnal Flower... I didn't think much of Joy. But I really want a rich floral to love. Maybe its the Osmanthus, and I smell something green like coriander. This is special. The sillage is just right, not too aldeyhidey to bother my nose. I hope it doesn't smell too similar to other cheaper alternatives. I'd hate to fall in love and have to spend this much on a regular basis.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Frownies

I love the low-tech old fashioned look of these. I have little verticle lines at the corners of my mouth starting to show. I mostly wear these during the day when I'm home alone because I'm embarassed SO will laugh at me. I'm sure they'd work faster if I wore them all night. I think I'll start tonight, darn him. These do a great job, even if its just because they're keeping the little creases moist. If they feel too awkward in the beginning, maybe cut them a little smaller until you are used to them. This decreases the tension on your face. Always moisten them a lot before trying to remove, or else you will get a rash, the glue is strong. These are classic, they've been around forever because they work.

Primer/ Corrector -Agnes B. - Apricot Complexion Enhancer / L'Embellisseur Abricot

This stuff is great. I'm a light to medium olive and definately on the sallow jaundiced blue-green end of the spectrum (lack of sleep, totally). This is magic perkyness. Makes my skin look healthy, I can actually walk around without makeup on. Great texture. This would be a good addition to the routine if you were brave enough to just wear a few strategic dabs of concealor. Your skin only better.

Highlighters -Clinique - Colour Rub Allover Lustre
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 3/12/2007 8:22:00 PM

Others have mentioned this isn't an all-over product, but I disagree. Mix it with your moisturizer or foundation first in the palm of your hand. This is a little dramatic for every day events, and on the opposite end photographs oddly for some reason. But for a romantic occasion, or in my case, goin to the disco, it is just the coolest effect, totally irredescent. Or maybe I'm just a weirdo. Didn't they have a peach color in this line? I have the pink now, somebody swap me the peachy.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Lipstick- Beige
rated 4 of 5
whataworld 3/12/2007 7:57:00 PM

This is a great color on my light olive skin. Love the texture too. Just barely pinky enough that my lips don't look grey and my teeth yellow. Nudes are such hard lippes to find in the right color. This one is very classy. Love the smell, like rubber dolly hair.

Polishes -OPI - Friar Friar Pants On Fire !
rated 3 of 5
whataworld 3/12/2007 6:41:00 PM

Whoa, how'd the ghost of Debbie Gibson get in here. This is pure neon shrimpy hot pink. You'd like to think this is gonna be red, but it is just grody to the max. I'm a light/medium olive complexion. Not at all classy or office appropriate. Maybe if I was seventy and living in Miami Beach, I'd wear this. Well, I'll probably try this again, its kind of festive in a Spring Break sort of way. Great toe color I guess.

Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head
rated 3 of 5
whataworld 3/7/2007 5:29:00 PM

This review is for the original Bed Head wax styling stick that started this line. Um, awesome... but probably on its way out. This is one of the original products. The instructions are mainly for shorty hair peeps. My stylist sis uses this on long haird girls' curls to keep fat ringlets stuck together. It makes nice sharp ends on my razorcut layers. Not much hold but it does let the hair swing about, way more natural than a shellac'd doo. Healthy too, wax and jojoba oils. I'd definately use this more except the fragrance, although warm and lovely, is very noticable all day long and it clashes with my beloved perfumes. Its on my swap list if anyone wants my last tube.

Treatments -Jan Marini - Age Intervention Face Serum
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 3/6/2007 4:45:00 PM

This is the one that smells like Pina Colada! Definately a very thin lotion as opposed to the clear serums of other brands. I use this as a daytime moisturizer or as an added treat under another cream. This thing is chock full of healing goodness, gentle lubrication for a life of crime in the big city. "Sea meadowfoam oil is recognized for its outstanding oxidative stability and contains over 98 percent long-chain fatty acids. It has higher quality triglyceride levels compared to other vegetable oils. Meadowfoam oil contains three previously unknown long-chain fatty acids." This is according to the University of Iowa's agricultural research department.

Treatments -Jan Marini - C-esta serum
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 3/6/2007 4:05:00 PM

This burns like chewable vitamin-c would burn your mouth if you had a cut. It is acidic. Might not be the best if you are currenly using irritating things on your face or right after exfoliation. Now, on to the glowing review. This stuff smells like pina colada, which my BF loves, he sniffs my face when I'm wearing this. The stuff turns brown only due to oxidation, so don't shake the bottle. You should be using this night and day so my first bottle was empty before it turned. The best thing this does is make my face glow like a teenager in love. It prevents wrinkles and damage like a good multivitamin prevents heart attacks... and we all take our multi's don't we? Except for expensive Idebedone (Prevage), there aren't too many stable radical scavengers making their way into face creams. This is one of the rare fat-soluable vitamin-c creams. This is good because I hate having to wait until my face is bone dry after washing before I can finish my skincare routine. Jan Marini is just the best stuff ever, I'd gladly (and do) pay a premium to know that this won't break me out. Oh, and a little secret... make sure to rub it into your lips before applying lipbalm at night, I wake up and my lips are fat like crazy. Vit C is a well known collegen stimulator.

Moisturizers -Erno Laszlo - HydrapHel Complex
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 3/6/2007 3:45:00 PM

This is the original HydrapHel night cream. I think the new one is called HydrapHel Intensive. As rich as this one feels, and as troubled as my skin has been in the past, this is the best night cream ever. I've tried Chanel Sublimage, La Mer and many others. After the initial application, instead of feeling greazy, my skin feels incredibly wet. This is so healing. Even my oily nose and forehead like it, because even oily skin isn't always moist skin. I wake up plumped, juicy, and soft as a baby tushie. Works well as a moisture mask, slather it on, boil a pot of pasta with my face over the steam, wipe it off with a tissue, eat dinner. Excellent on cuticles, decolletage, ankles, knees, elbows, shins after shaving... I'm all about multi-tasking.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Radius Original Toothbrush
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 3/6/2007 2:29:00 PM

This is by far the best toothbrush ever! I have used them since they came out, maybe 15 years ago. I simply cannot use another brush. I've always hated to floss because my gums used to hurt after. This brush with its dense but microfine bristles messages the gumline so I never see red after flossing. Its head is huge and feels very odd when you first try it but just imagine that you are getting more work done with each stroke. You'll get used to the size. If you have the bad habit of brushing too hard, try the new Scuba version. It has a rubber neck that makes it impossible to push too hard, eroding enamel. I prefer the opalescent colors of the originals though. A work of art in the bathroom. I've never had one splay the bristles, these things endure. For twice the price, they last three times as long and save you on costly dental procedures. I could definately go longer between professional cleanings. I can not say enough good things about this overlooked piece of bathroom artisty. A beautiful smile is a vital accessory much flashier than Louis Vuitton. I've found them almost exclusively at health food stores. Try this and you will be hooked forever!

Fragrances -Santa Maria Novella - Musk ("Muschio")
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 2/22/2007 4:42:00 PM

I love this, it reminds me of my beloved Helumt Lang which was discontinued. Has a bit of a "roots plucked straight outta the dirt" smell in addition to a a perfect musky warmth. None of the sugar and powder that is hiding in a lot of scents these days. A bit green on top. Definately unisex, my beau grabbed the bottle almost immediately. Not masculine though, classic. And yea for plant-derived musk, no animals harmed in the production of this fume. Wish it came in a spray... does it?

Fragrances -Lorenzo Villoresi - Alamut
rated 5 of 5
whataworld 2/8/2007 1:07:00 PM

Ah yes, a plastic doll note... I had a Strawberry Shortcake doll that smelled so delicious that I wished they had bottled the scent, and old Ditto machine copies smelled so good. These weird notes get logdged in my scent memory and change an otherwise unmemorable fume into something challenging and controversial. I smell soft leather and musk. This is why I owned SL Kublai Kahn but unfortunately was too embarrased to wear it. This would smell perfect on a man, this is a scent I would constantly steal spritzes of from my beau's bottle if he owned it. I would wear this to bed, I would put just a dab on my bellybutton. Nobody will be offended if I wear this in a crowded elevator. Yummy.
