Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)

I use this for everything!! I rub a tiny bit of coconut oil in my hands to melt it and rub it into the ends of my dry and fine hair. I use it on my body (beware: I put it on my legs and my dogs just kept licking my legs because I tasted too delicious!!). I use it on my lips. I just haven't cooked with it yet ;) You need VERY LITTLE coconut oil to do about anything with it. I bought expensive high quality organic stuff for about 14CAD and the jar is so huge I think it will last me years. HG material.
Eye Shadow -MAC - 100 Strokes (Frost - Blonde Brunette Redhead Collection)

Gosh this was just lying around in my cupboard because I had no idea what to do with this color! I just bought Prepped for Glamour, and found 100 Strokes a good match for a "smokey" touch in the corners. Not very versatile color and I don't think you should use this if you have fair / light skin tone. It works for me with Prepped for Glamour because I have NC37 skin tone and grey eyes.
Super pretty eyeshadow with subtle gold tones. I can use this every day and it makes the blue come out in my grey eyes. I do have fairly toned skin (NC37) and this color eyeshadow is a bit light; I have to layer for it to show on my skin tone. Recommended for fair/ light skin tones and pretty much any eye color!
Oh boy this is pretty on my grey eyes and with my medium-olive skin! In the box it doesn't look too impressive, but it really works out with my eyes; makes them look a bit more blue/green than grey. I use this all over my eyelid and go to work with it. I add a dark color (100 strokes) in the corner when I go out. I think this color might be a bit dark if you have fair / light skin tone. Recommended for medium / dark skin and grey / blue / green eyes.
Oh how could I have lived to be 30 without ever having my skin tone matched by a MAC make-up artist? For 15 years I have been trying a million colors of foundation, thinking I have a cool skin tone, and only last week I got matched as a NC37 by a MAC make-up artist!! Anyway, trying Select in NC 37 for a week was a dream come true for color matching, and it really blends nicely. However, I have oily skin and work 12 hour days, and this product just kinda "melts" after a while. Moreover, with my sun spots and red spots, I need a tad bit more coverage. This is good stuff if you want light-medium coverage and have normal skin. I will try Studio Fix next!
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Shady

Blah. Boring, badly pigmented. the light color doesnt come off at all. the brown is smudgy. If you're going to spend about 8 CAD on a brown eyeshadow, just drop the 12 extra to go for an amazing one from MAC. It's your eyes, the windows to your soul!
Powder -Lancome - Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup

This powder has good coverage, but my skin still gets oily after a few hours. Then again, I haven't used it with Primer. I did get a compliment from someone about my good complexion when wearing this. The reason I wouldn't buy it again is the smell (my boyfriend said I smell like his grandma!!) and that my color, Matte Nu II, was still too yellow for me. It's just not impressive enough to try another color. EDIT: I had to travel for work and had to buy a powder in a rush, so I went back and tried Matte Amande III, which is an excellent match for my NC37 skin. Much happier now, and might just repurchase again. I use it with a kabuki brush and build coverage according to my skin condition. Still becomes oily after a few hours, but that might just be unavoidable with my skin.
This eye shadow is very beautiful, nicely textured. The sheen and color is gorgeous on your eyelids, the pictures don't do it justice. The color is pretty subtle, so it's an excellent eye shadow for every day, and you can combine it and make it pop with other colors for an evening out. HOWEVER I personally would not buy it again as I have gray colored eyes and this color doesn't do anything for them. I would highly recommend this color if you have brown, hazel, or green eyes though!!
I'm giving this a 4 because the texture is light and smooth, and it doesn't "sit" in my fine lines, but not a 5 because I haven't really noticed any difference since I started using this three weeks ago. Nevertheless; it's nice and I will finish the tube. After that, I will try something else until I find my "go to" eyecream! Update: changed the rating to a 3- I finished the tube, it lasted a long time, but did nothing for my eyes. I'd rather use olive oil, which at least makes my skin smooth and soft.
I love this! I was buying more expensive brow pencils from brands like Clinique, but this one is much cheaper and has the same effect. My brows look full but natural, and the little comb keeps them in shape. The comb even does double-duty for my lashes, to separate them nicely.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Moisture

At firs my skin became a bit dry and flaky for a few days after I started using this product, but I used a scrub and the dryness and flakyness cleared up as my skin got used to the Retinol. So far I really like this product, and it doesn't make my face too shiny. My skin feels very healthy and radiant. I recommend that you try this product for a week to see if you have any dry or flaky spots on your skin. It's normal; your skin is getting used to the retinol. But of course stop using it if your skin gets really irritated.
I have used 3 jars of this foundation by now, as I was pretty satisfied with it, especially because it's pretty cheap. However, as my first wrinkles have started to appear, this foundation creeps into them. I am looking for something that feels lighter, more natural, but with the same kind of coverage. It's definitely not a bad product, but just not great, and now I am almost 30, I won't settle for less than great!
Treatments -Neostrata - Skin Resurfacing Duo (Canada)
valskuiken 4/20/2010 9:09:00 PM
See my review on the Microdermabrasion set from Neostrate. This is the same stuff, just not with the night cream and cleanser. I'd recommend the Microdermabrasian set if you are a first-time buyer, but I am buying this Duo myself instead, as it's more economical and I don't need the cream and cleanser from the MD set. Anyway; this stuff does wonders for your skin. Makes it super smoothe and ready for a moisturizing mask or cream. You will look radiant.
My skin is so difficult as I have an oily t-zone, my first wrinkles, sun damage....This set really helps clear out my skin, make it super soft and smooth...it gets rid of dead layers of skin, and I especially love to use it before my favority moisturizing mask or cream. My skin looks radiant after this treatment. I even dare to not wear make-up right after (very rare for me!). Buy the crystals separately though; you get much more than in the kit! Better value.
This mascara clumped and stuck my lashes together so bad, I threw it out after using it for merely a week. Waste!
