Masks -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - 40% Lactic Acid Peel
ut88keys 6/20/2006 4:53:00 PM
I use olay microdemabrasion kit and like it. On the package it says Lactic acid.I also use retin A so my skin is tolerant. so I picked this Lactic peel as the obvious next step. I got this today and tried it after reading all the posts. I used the timer.I found right away that there are certain areas that are more sensitive. The most sensitive is the outer area under the eye. After doing this peel, I found that it takes a minute to apply it to the face. So it's the same when you color your hair you must rinse out one side or it will finish at different times. I just got a sample so I didnt want to waste it so I deceided to apply to my forehead, eye area, upper lip, bunny lines etc. Next time I will apply to non-sensitive areas first and sensitive last.I also tried it for two minutes on my hands so Im going to wait 24hrs to see how it does. well this product seems to work less or requires more time on more damasged skin.it exfoliates great but is not really a "peel"in a strict sense to me. I tried it on my arms and I can say the skin looked more even, less dry,and softer after one treatment, but I am concerned about the chemical which is a toxin especially for the ears and chemicals are absorbed into the skin..just know what the risks are.

Liquid -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind foundation
ut88keys 6/18/2006 7:31:00 PM
I just had to try this as I have dry skin. It is a thicker liquid and goes on medium coverage and I suopose light if you use moisturizer with it.I used the nude #4 and it was a good match. It deminishes the lines for the first hours but if you powder down, as you must for using your blush, then at the end of the day it is back to lines again. Not blown away but is the best liquid Ive tried in a while.Hate the package....

Crème -RCMA - Color Process Foundation

I was so curious about this makeup from what I read that I bought one sight unseen to try it..The sales person said I might be close to KO1 even though I'm not Asian.I usually wear a 20 series in other foundations (light but not fair)...usually a couple shades down the list...anyway I got it and compared to my other foundations and found it to be too yellow.. at first I wished I had ordered the Gena Beige but the sales girl had said it might be too pink for me..Update well the Gena Biege turned out to be perfect! Well I couldn't believe how good it looked so I took it with me on a company trip. One night we had a cocktail party and I used all my evening brands and when I went down to the lobby a person I don't really know with the group came up and said" you look so beautiful ...did you have your makeup done by a professional?"...needless to say I will use it again...but for daytime I would go very light as it has heavy coverage which looks bad on older ladies.

I was Christmas shopping and surprised to see a Lush had opened and had heard the bath bombs were'Dabomb" so I bought two ..one was jasmine..I had purchased a Jasmine bomb at Walmart that was 2 bucks and it was fine..i figured the scent would be fab and last for a week since the Lush bombs cost between 4-5..Wrong! totally not worth 4 bucks for a ball of baking soda..My partners comment on the store was " what hype" go to Walmart

Other -Crest - Whitestrips

I was really hopeful about these...but since I have a narrow bite and the lowers are uneven these strips did not sit well on the teeth and the saliva make them slip off and I had to return the box.. I will continue to use the trays as they work better

Foundations -Max Factor - Pan-Cake [DISCONTINUED]

I used this for years and had flawless skin..but i was 18....at about 33 I found it to be too drying,,,my friends tried it but were unable to apply correctly..The only way to apply is let you skin produce natural oil overnight,do not wash your face in the morning.Use a natural sponge only and wet with water. Make a paste and apply with a short stroking and stippling effect. Use a light touch and then set with powder..I had so many compliments.....it is full coverage and great for that made up look! There are better professional makeups today..it out of date

I was thinking that these cloths were too expensive to use but if my sister-in-law can afford them they must be good! So I gave them a try. they are so great for eye makeup removal. Yes your face feels dry but not because its stripped but because of the AHA..when I travel in Europe (they dont have washcloths ) I stick a weeks worth in a ziplock bag!!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
ut88keys 11/16/2005 1:03:00 AM
I really enjoy the smell and texture of this lipbalm.I used blistex before but found this half price at the drug store. Chapstick's balm is more waxy and blistex is more greasy. The tingling is indeed intense and I'll just bet it plumps as much as lip venom beacuse of the cinnamon oil.. I would buy again too because it has no petrol. Instead I like that it has has vitamin E, rosemary and lanolin,I was surprised that it was so good and the can is cute!!

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat

I wondered what all the hype was about ..so I bought this as an alternative to Orgasm..I wear peach .I love the shimmer glow ..I was using the tricolor covergirl for years and got tons of compiments and this is almost the same so if you like this the CG is way cheaper.I like the packaging ,it's way more durable than the plastic CG.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Sheer Blonde Highlighting Balm
ut88keys 11/3/2005 10:41:00 PM
I purchased this years ago and it lasts forever..It's more like a shimmery alberto VO5 than a wax and it doesn't have much of a smell.. it's fine....The can was cute but now it's all dinged up...like an old car...I bought it because I read Cate Blancette uses it..it takes away frizzies and flyaways!
