Treatments -Clinique - Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector

I used Even Better a few years ago for slight discoloration issues and saw immediate results, so I was looking forward to using the new "clinical" version of the product. Unfortunately, it's making me break out. I don't usually break out (even when do, it's only one or two blemishes), and this was the only new product that I've used recently. I don't know if I'm allergic to a particular ingredient, or if the product is supposed to draw out impurities in your skin, but I can't continue to use this if it's going to cause breakouts and give me a whole new set of problems that I didn't have before I began using the product. Every day, I'm seeing a new blemish. It's very upsetting that a skincare product that's supposed to improve your skin is actually making it worse. UPDATE: Without a doubt, this product is to blame for my recent, inexplicable breakouts. As soon as I stopped using the product, I stopped breaking out. I see that many other reviewers who normally don't break out also reacted badly to this product. It might be the silicone that's clogging pores and causing breakouts, but I'm not sure. Again, I had no problems with the regular Even Better. It's unfortunate that Even Better Clinical is not exactly "even better."

Moisturizers -Clinique - Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturizer
rated 3 of 5

I've been using the dry/combination version of this moisturizer for about 2 weeks, and I still haven't made up my mind about it. I like the fact that it's oil-free, fragrance-free, and doesn't contain titanium dioxide (which I'm allergic to). It's not too heavy and hasn't made me break out yet, but it does sting when you first put it on. I see that other users have experienced the stinging also. My favorite moisturizer with SPF used to be Prescripives All You Need SPF 15 for normal skin, but they changed the formulation recently, so I began looking for a replacement moisturizer with sunscreen and decided to try this one. If I can't find anything better, I will purchase this product again, but if the stinging continues, I will not buy again.

Powder -LORAC - Oil-Free Wet/Dry Makeup
rated 3 of 5

I really wanted to like this product. The coverage is sheer to medium and very natural-looking. In addition, I was told that this would be good for sensitive skin since it was oil-free and fragrance-free. Unfortunately, it stings my skin. I thought perhaps it was my moisturizer or some other product that was stinging my skin, so I continued to use this powder, but I realize that as soon as I put the powder on my face, my face burns and stings. I don't know what the irritant is, but I'm going back to my Cargo wet/dry powder.

Moisturizers -Prescriptives - All You Need Plus Lotion SPF 15
rated 3 of 5

This was my favorite moisturizer with SPF for many years, but Prescriptives changed the formula recently. The new formula doesn't have lactic acid (which the previous formula contained), but it's loaded with antioxidants like pomegranate and goji berry. Plus, I liked the fact that its sunscreen wasn't titanium dioxide-based because titanium dioxide tends to clog my pores. Unfortunately, even though I never broke out in reaction to the previous formula (and I don't break out in general), the new formula seems to be making me break out. It's supposed to be oil-free and non-acnegenic, but it does contain a masking fragrance. Maybe that's what's causing me to break out. Prescriptives is normally very good at making non-acnegenic and fragrance-free products, so I'm disappointed. I'll have to look for another daytime moisturizer with SPF.
