Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Softlotion - Bedtime Lotion
sillybelle 10/6/2003 11:10:00 PM
I agree with all the bedtime lotion lovers -- this stuff is great. Smells great, makes you look forward to going to sleep! Not too greasy, so you won't feel like you're gonna stick to the sheets. I really love this.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Dreamsicle Juicy Tubes
sillybelle 8/28/2003 4:01:00 PM
I don't want to live in a world with no Dreamsicle Juicy Tube. That's how much I love this. I do not look good in pale colors. But this is a special milky pink, with great shine. It has a wonderful consistency -- never gummy or gritty. I instantly feel prettier when I put this on. I love the tube, too -- some people prefer a wand or a brush, but I like how this works with the slanted tip. I just love it! And the smell is so much fun, too.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Bohemian Sage Trio 2002
sillybelle 8/7/2003 11:55:00 AM
Well, I was dying for this, and I finally got my hands on it. First off, I have Bohemian Bronze and other Stila trios, so I've accepted that the packaging is less-than stellar. Yes, it's cute. But after one day in your make-up bag, it looks beat up. Now, the colors *are* pretty, and nice if you want to wear greens but are conservative with color. But, it just didn't do anything for me. The texture is nice, the colors are easy to build, but it's just so BLAH! I'm a FFF with pink undertones.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Honey Royal Jelly Propolis Body Balm
sillybelle 6/17/2003 5:27:00 PM
Well, I love the jar -- you can always get all the product out when it comes like this. The smell is unique (a good unique). The label is so pretty. But the lotion itself -- kind of weird. Very hard to apply -- kind of thick, and you really have to rub it in. My skin feels nice after it sinks in, though.

Polishes -OPI - You Cannoli Imagine
sillybelle 6/17/2003 2:41:00 PM
I really love this color. I love all OPI colors. This is a pale pinky/peachy shade with a frosty look. I find that it goes on smooth (difficult with pale colors) if you prep your nails well. It's a great color for any season, and looks good with my pale skin or when I have a little bit of a tan. It goes with everything!

Eye Shadow -Almay - Almay Bright Eyes Color Cream Shadow in Lilac Lustre
sillybelle 6/17/2003 2:36:00 PM
Wow! This is really great. I love the color and the texture. I am a LLL with brown eyes, and I just feel prettier with this on. I have tried a lot of cream e/s, and this is easy to work with. Goes on smooth, great coverage, no creasing (and it's very hot and humid where I am). There is a bit of oozing once you open it, but that happens with anything packaged like this, IMHO. I just went and bought "golden gleam" and the champagne color. Can't wait to try them.

Lip Gloss -Baby Pink - Lipgloss in Strawberry
sillybelle 6/5/2003 3:17:00 PM
OK -- This *is* great lip gloss. Very shiny, nice staying power. Pretty sheer pink/red color. But the packaging -- oh no. This stuff leaked in my purse and got everything sticky. I was so disappointed. Attempts to screw the cap on tighter have not helped. This is now my stay-at-home lip gloss. Not good for traveling!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Acid Rain Eyeshadow
sillybelle 6/3/2003 5:53:00 PM
I really like this -- and I never thought I would wear green eye shadow as an adult! It's a fun look, and the e/s is a great quality in my opinion. It is easily buildable -- you don't have to be shocking. I like to use this with MAC rosemary and thyme eye kohl as a liner, and a little Urban Decay mildew along the lash lines. It's a neat look for a special night.

Lipstick -NARS - Lipstick in Dolce Vita
sillybelle 5/27/2003 4:46:00 PM
I had read a lot about Dolce Vita, and I had to try it. It's a nice natural lip color -- creamy and feels great on lips. However it's just not enough color for me. I wouldn't call it a YLBB lipstick. It's just a "your lips" color -- can't really tell I'm wearing anything at all.

Bronzers -Bobbi Brown - Bronzing Powder
sillybelle 5/23/2003 10:18:00 AM
I have never ever found a bronzer that I like, but this one fit the bill. I received the "medium" shade in a GWP size in a swap, and I will definitely purchase a full-size one when I need it. It goes on smoothly, and looks really natural. Not orange, not shiny, not too dark and dirty looking. I actually look forward to using this bronzer, because I immediately look "healthier." It's just great for me, and I'm pretty fair, with freckles, and I'm always hesitant to use cheek color.
