Treatments -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - C-System Reconstructing Treatment
shirfene 12/26/2004 4:26:00 AM
This is probably the most ineffective hair treatment that i've ever tried. Strong citrus scent, high price but only does what a normal conditioner can do. I've been using it for a while and find no help for my hair. I must had lost my mind when I fork out the money on these MOP C products.
Shampoo -Modern Organic Products (MOP) - C-System Clean Shampoo
shirfene 12/26/2004 4:19:00 AM
I'm using the entire line of MOP C system. Frankly, I'm not very satisfied with the results and do not think I will ever repurchase again. This Clean Shampoo is a bit too harsh for my hair, kinda drying too. Very strong citrus scent especially when used together with the conditioner and conditioning mist. Pricey but i didnt get what i paid for.
I like most of dermalogica's products, including this Day Bright SPF15. It's part of the dermalogica's brightening system. A very light sheer morning daycare, and does not stink like many other sunscreen. Only I wish it has a higher SPF.
I noticed a significant difference after using this conditioner. My hair has become smoother and silkier, much easier to manage. by the way, i can't tell the difference between the masquintense and this conditioner. Both smells the same way and did excellent job on my hair.
Expensive but you get what you paid for.
Lip Gloss -Shu Uemura - Sweet Lip Gloss Strawberry
shirfene 10/2/2004 10:40:00 PM
Agreed with the rests about the delicious scent of this strawberry flavoured lip gloss. Non sticky and not too glossy. The colour doesn't 'show', probably good to apply over lipstick instead of wearing it alone. The staying power is disappointing though, still prefer JT's :)
I bought the professional size 500ml which costs me AU$51. Had high expectations on Sebastian's hair care but so far every product that I've used disappoint me. very expensive but i find the result isnt that amazing. It's more like a styling products than a treatment. I apply after hair wash and find it a bit greasy. Didnt repair anything, my hair is still as dry as usual. overall not a bad product but not as good as expected.
Treatments -L'Oreal - Professionnel Liss Extreme rinse-out treatment masque
shirfene 7/6/2004 9:45:00 PM
Very similar to Oleo Relax Masque, only that it doesnt smell as nice :P Calms frizzy hair really well, and makes it smooth and manageable. Price wise, much cheaper than Oleo Relax. Using the whole range of Oleo relax is more like pampering myself, you get what you paid for, but L'oreal Liss Extreme range (its sister company) is really good too, it works :)
A very decent eye moisturiser for pre-concealer application. A bit slippery, not oily at all and so far I notice no milia after using this product. Pretty much like other eye creams, miracle does not happen, darkcircles are yet to be cured. I'm not repurchasing this again because I've tried Sisley eye and lip contour cream and Dior First Action capture eye serum, which are far better in my opinion.
Sebastian is an overrated brand in my opinion. For the price I paid for the products, I don't get the same results as what I had from Kerastase and Senscience. Pricier but the results do not even come close. Very disappointing line of so called prestigious hair care.
Slinky conditioner is an expensive but ultra ordinary conditioner, I'm not saying it's a bad one, but you would be better off getting the Senscience conditioner, which is far far better at around the same price. Nothing much to comment about this product, yeah...OK but really ORDINARY...does not make my hair 'slinky' either :)
I don't really like the idea of perfumed eye cream, as eye areas are pretty sensitive, aren't they? Thats the only drawback of this product I've encountered so far....a very light serum that sinks nicely and cause no milia. I'm not expecting any miracle results on eye areas anymore after trying out Sisley's eye and lip contour cream, the most expensive eye cream which does not help dehydration lines and darkcircles at all :) Therefore..I'm OK when this Dior's eye serum does pretty much the same thing. A decent product. AU$86 for 15ml
Sunscreen -MD Formulations - total protector spf 30
shirfene 5/24/2004 8:01:00 AM
A very good product i must say, no white cast, non greasy and does not smell as bad as other sunscreens. Good value for $$...you might prefer this if you find UltraC ADM SPF30 a bit too dry for your skin, cheaper too. worth trying :)
I totally agree this concealer blends like a dream...and covers acne scars like a dream too! I find it a bit dry coz I'm used to liquid-type concealer (clinique airbrush), but I must admit that it blends really well. No creasing at all. The SPF is a BONUS! This product is not available in Australia unfortunately, I recommend you all to get this by any chance however. For reference, I'm Asian with yellow skin tone, using Camee, on top of Origins Nude and Improved in Honey.
Eye Shadow -Clinique - High Impact Eyeshadow in Foxy
shirfene 5/12/2004 1:37:00 AM
I really like Clinique's High Impact Eyeshadows, creaseless and 'show'. Foxy is a chocolatey/bronzey shade, which I don't really like. Good for smokey eyes, but if you apply it alone, and if you have darkcircles, your eyes will looked like panda eyes, a little too dark for my liking. I'll repurchase HIgh Impact eyeshadows but not in this shade again.
This is a whitening concentrate of the UV white range, available only in Asia I believe. Mix the powder with the Uv white moisturiser, massage slowly on palms until all the powder are dissolved, then apply to face as usual. It will leave some residue on face somehow. I don't think there's any whitening result (acne scars weren't diminished) after I've religiously finished the whole pack (30 doses), but the entire UV white range does make my skin complexion brighter and clearer. However, I think Chanel Precision Blanc Purete's Intensive Powder is much better, does not leave residue as Shiseido's one does, pricier though.
Treatments (Eye) -Sisley - Sisleya Eye and Lip Contour Cream
shirfene 5/6/2004 12:54:00 AM
Absolutely adore the texure of this eyecream, it does take a while to be fully absorbed, but it doesn't give me the greasy feeling that many other eyecreams do. Rich cream but easy spreadable. Been using it for weeks, no milia at all. I'm not giving it 5 lippies (come close though) because I haven't noticed any significant results yet, dehydration lines still there :(
LOVE LOVE LOVE the packaging of this Sisleya eye and lip contour cream, just elegant!! My wallet bleeds severely only because I'm deeply fallen in love with the luxurious image of Sisley. AU$180 is hideous for an eyecream...my first sisley product ever. However, as I mentioned above, I don't find it helping my undereyes dehydration lines at all, might not repurchase and continue my search for a better eyecream, even though I must admit this product is really good in term of texture.
