Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Waterproof Mascara

loooove this mascara for everyday. i have very short, thin lashes and this mascara adds so much length. i have to make sure and curl my lashes a few times, but after that the mascara does all the work. the formula was truly waterproof for me. it didn't flake & by the end of the day the application still looked as it did in the morning. it didn't give me too much volume, but i'll still repurchase. EDIT: tried this in the curved brush, WACK! the straight brush is sooo much better. still HG. even if i find another mascara that works for me, this is a mascara that will always be close to my heart bc it's the first one that has held a curl for me and works consistently!
i don't think this brush needs another raving review, but i really love this. i'm not the type of person to collect brushes. i buy them only when necessary. but this brush makes me want to buy all the ecotools brushes. it is soo sooo soft and it makes applying my mineral compact makeup so easy. i normally dread putting on foundation; doing eye makeup is what's fun for me. but this brush makes the process much more bearable. it doesn't pick up too much product even when i'm in a rush and accidentally get too much on it. and i got this for only $7.99 at target. the only thing that bugs me is that handle is a little fragile, but i still love it.
i bought this because apparently the readers of allure really liked this product. i thought this would set my foundation and help its lasting power, but instead it caked easily, settled into pores, and i don't think it helped my foundation look any more polished or natural than it did on its own. the packaging also makes the powder hard to get out and i don't think they give you enough product for the price.
this is one of my favorite products. i was skeptical that a blush would stay on ALL day on my extremely oily skin. my skin gets oily within minutes after putting on makeup without a face primer. but this blush stays on! i've been using this for almost a year and i'm still in shock when i think about it. i use this in soft mink. i'm an NC25 and it shows up as a peach shimmer. though i do have to reapply during the day because i do get shine break through from my foundation. HG for me.
i had basically given up on mascara after i noticed that each one i bought barely made any difference on my short, thin lashes. but i couldn't resist buying this one, considering it's bright orange and it seemed everyone was talking about it saying they either loved it or hated it. cons: the packaging. i didn't think that the large tube would bother me that much, but when i'm in a rush i don't like having to deal with the huge wand. the brush also picks up too much product, and it doesn't make short lashes stand out unless you layer it on. pros: it stays on all day, it doesn't flake, and if you're willing to spend time putting this on, this will make your lashes longer and fuller without giving you spider lashes. overall, one of the best mascaras i've tried.
this is one of my favorite lipsticks. it goes with every eye makeup i'm wearing. when i first tried it, i thought it was muddy and a waste of a dollar, but after applying it with a light hand and topping if off with some carmex or a simple lipgloss, i began to use it religiously. i love how it easily makes your lips look polished and full. i don't even like wearing lipstick because of how drying it can be, but i've barely had this for a month and the tube is almost done. nyx doesn't disappoint with this shade.
a while ago i was hesitant to try any more products from the jane be pure line bc i did not like their mineral foundation. but each time i went to the pharmacy .. i couldn't get over how cheap their products were. so i couldn't resist buying this eyeliner. i have the HIP liner in black and this liner in wine. i think they are both good quality, but this one is cheaper so i'll be buying this in the future. what i love about this liner is how easily it goes on, how the brush is easy to use, and how long is lasts on my lids. i also bought this liner probably about 5 months ago and i use it everyday, but there's still a lot of product left. & it is extremely easy to take off. sometimes i'll skip eyeliner out of laziness and not wanting to have to deal with it at night when i don't have the patience, but this baby comes off with my face cleanser and water. i really hope they don't stop making this product.
ok this review is for my hereditary acne-prone, oily skin, shiny no matter if foundation is on or off .. ladies. lol. & also for the people who use benzoyl peroxide as a way to manage your acne. i bought this product hoping that it would do some of the things it claims to do, but not all bc my skin is excessively oily. it did not help my makeup stay on longer & i was fooled in at first bc i was not looking at myself in natural light .. my makeup looked fine at home, but when i went outside ... it was shiny after less than an hour. so if you have skin like mine, i suggest you not use this to set your makeup. what it did do was help with the blending of my foundation and blush and it also helped my mineral foundation go on less cakey. in the middle of my day, when i have to reapply foundation bc of shine breakthrough, i use it to help my foundation look more natural. i rarely see any foundation lines, which is nice. overall, i will not be buying this product again, but i'm keeping the bottle so i can make my own fix+ at a more economic price.
the essence of beauty crease brushes work so well they make me want to buy all their brushes .. even brushes i don't need. i bought this in the crease brush duo. first of all, no shedding. shedding doesn't really bother me, though .. as long as it's not excessive, it's ok with me. and the bristles are so soft. now onto how they work ... i tend to use the larger crease brush to blend the shadow into my crease and the smaller one for my outer V and tear duct. if you want to really define your crease and make it noticeable, this brush also does the job. i even use the larger crease brush for blending color with whatever shadow i'm using as a highlight, which means i don't even need a blending brush for my everyday look. i love these brushes and the fact that you can get two for the price of one is just too much. these brushes are really one of kind .. no matter the price ... but the fact that they're so reasonable makes not having them in your makeup collection a beauty crime. lol.
Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Baked Collection wet/dry eye shadow

i bought baked oatmeal and i don't apply it wet, so that's probably why i didn't achieve the complete pigmentation potential, but i still liked it. i felt like the shades complimented my brown eyes to a T, and the lighter shades are one my favorite highlighters to use on the brow bone. i could easily use any old white shadow to highlight, but the baked off white oatmeal shades are unique and very pretty. it actually makes you think they really were made from Italian tiles, as it says on the packaging. i love the shimmer in the eyeshadow and how all three shadows go perfectly with one another. i even use the darker brown shade to fill in my eyebrows. lol. by far, one of the best drugstore eyeshadows.
ickkkk. the only good thing about this foundation is that is has SPF. the MAC artist had me convinced that this foundation would be perfect for me. she said it had build able coverage, it would stay on all day, and not cause me breakouts. she was right about my color, NC20, but this was just like any drugstore liquid that slid off my face and emphasized dry flakes. and i really didn't like the consistency of the foundation. it's probably great for people with nice skin, but why would you need foundation anyway?
i felt the need to review this because i can't watch cable tv without seeing a commercial about this annoying thing. to get right to the point, i think proactiv either clears up most of your acne, or it won't work for you at all. it didn't help my acne, but i have moderate to severe hormonal acne, so maybe it works for those with mild and skin that isn't sensitive, who knows? what i do know is that my friend has used this religiously for years and he has a clear face with the occasional pimple once in a while. if you want to see the complete effect it has on your face, i think you have to stick with it for a few months.
Blush -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc Free Blush Pink Glow

this is the only blush i use. i have to be careful about my face makeup because i have really bad acne, and this blush is just soo pretty. it doesn't irritate my skin, stays on with a primer, and the color is flattering on my light skin, and on my friend who has more of a bronze skin tone. the color is pigmented, so make sure to tap off the excess from whatever brush you're using. ( i use a kabuki, and it doesn't make me look like a clown) basically i feel like this product is an instant confidence boost and makes you look really healthy. great product.
i've been through an interesting experience with this product. lol. ok, so the first time i tried it, i didn't wait long enough after moisturizing, and let it sit on my skin for 1-3 minutes and applied my foundation. it made my skin smooth, but it didn't keep my skin shine free. making my makeup stay on longer was my main point in buying the primer, so i left the barely opened bottle at the bottom of my makeup bag. one day i decided to try it again, using three pumps, and pressing it into the skin instead of rubbing it in. i waited 10 minutes to put on my mineral foundation and when i got home from work and school, my makeup didn't look exactly the same as it did in the morning, but it was shine free (xcept on my nose, but i could easily blot that), and i thought it looked pretty good. i thought maybe it was a one time thing, but this primer works consistently and does keep my makeup from sliding off. i wish i would've found this sooner.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black

this is the first cream liner i've tried and it did not disappoint. i hate pencils because they do not last on me, even when coating it with black eyeshadow, primer, you name it. i was satisfied with my liquid liner, but i like putting liner on my water line and after a couple of hours, the liquid wouldn't stay. i was hesitant to buy this because of the price tag, but as usual, i was a sucker and bought this liner for 12.99 at cvs. first of all, there is a lot of product, which is great, and you only need a little dab of the brush to line both eyes. the color is very pigmented and lasted all day . i suggest getting a different brush, that's why i gave it 4 lippies. the brush is brittle, and it hurts. lol. they really bs the whole claim of it being a professional brush. overall, the liner is great. remember to close it tightly after every use cuz it'll dry up, though.
