Lipstick -MAC - Matte - Honeylove
sharmilaa 1/26/2012 10:55:00 PM
Abosultely fantastic my most used and favorite lipstick. Matte - This is a matte lipstick. Just use a little lip balm to moisturize if needed. Mac has the best formula for matte lipsticks. This is not chalky doesnot essentuate my fine lines on lips or show flakes like some other brand mattes do. Even on my pigmented lips it gives me such a lovely nude beige/pink color. If you like nude pinks that look like natural lip color without looking too mauve/blue/lillac/brown/orange/ bubble gum pink then this lipstick is for you Not too light that it conceals your lips or looks weird. True natural looking beigie pink/nude suited for every skintone. Just use a little lip balm over the lipstick to glisten it a bit if you like. I have 3 backups!

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Quad - Sheerly Nudes
sharmilaa 1/24/2012 12:40:00 AM
I paid 6$ for this piece of crap. Common Cover Girl even WNW 1$ eyeshadows are better quality Jane eyezing, NYX, elf much better. Anyway texture feels like crushed crayola chalk even that would give you some color payoff atleast. No Pigmentation at all. Doesn't last very long on your skin either. One of the worst eyeshadows I have ever bought bar none. PLEASE DONT BUY THIS & SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING ELSE/BETTER OR ATLEAST

Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
sharmilaa 1/23/2012 10:39:00 PM
-This mineral foundation is very light - my skin can breathe doesnot feel stifled. -Gives me Medium Coverage that can be built up - can cover my melasma decently. Photography beautifully like I have great skin! -Stays put for atleast 7 hrs without altering color/oxidizing -Pleanty of shades for all skintones - perfect shades. -Matte Finish -Doesnot Break me out (very imp for me.) - Economical & good quality. Unlike Bare Escentuals this doesnot give me an unnatural shine( like a sharkskin almost looks like I have metallic face with Bare Escentuals Also it has more & better shades than Bare Escentuals. I have both but I prefer l'oreal's mineral foundation - it is much better. Cons - I have to make sure that my skin doesnot have flakes/is not overly prune like dry or blotchy as mineral foundations donot apply or look good then. Hate the pakaging donot like the brush applicator.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Eyeshadow
sharmilaa 1/23/2012 8:11:00 PM
I have just got into Stila eyeshadows, & am blown away with the quality, colors, and finish of these shadows. These apply like butter! they have dreamy velvet texture. They are never uneven in application like getting patchy spots on some areas/ skin showing through). Excellent pigmentation one swipe & I get sufficient color (not like I keep rubbing my fingers over & over again to get any glimpse of color). Limited colors vs Mac but alot of them are worth picking up. Gorgeous single eyeshadows, the trio's are a little expensive but they are beautiful!, Jewel eyeshadow: Explode with shimmer like a billion stars! I just tried black diamond next I will try some others shades (I did not see any chunks of glitter though). Some favorites: Kitten, Golightly(like this alot), Diamond lil (excellent by itself or for smokey eyes my favorite), Cloud (great! shimmering silver/taupe/grey) Grace (shimmering nude), Starlight (shimmering champagne), Sun (gold/peach), Wheat (beige light brown),Sparkle (golden bronze), La douce (metallice olive green).. Trio that I liked alot! - Ethereal, Champagne Glow, Bronze Glow

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - #255B Penny [DISCONTINUED]
sharmilaa 1/21/2012 5:53:00 PM
I was laughing when I picked this color up. I donot like very bright vibrant color e/s (at my age especially) but my son said "mommy I want this orange color it is like a popsicle you will look beautiful"... hence I picked it up :). Might look very salmon orange. Pakaging - wetnwild single eyeshadows have VERY FRAGILE PACKAGING DONOT DROP IT EYSHADOW WILL BREAK & SHATTER INSIDE, mine did as soon as i got home. Color - peachy/golden with strong sunset orange tones Texture - very patchy, not smooth, blotchy - just make sure to blend it well and go light on this shadow to make it work. Finish - It has shimmer & sheen but no glitter. Doesnot last on my eyes very long. Honeytly skimp on this and get something better perhaps Nutty from wetnwild or even put a few dollars more & get some other eyeshadow Check maybelline, Revlon, L'oreal they have some decent, lovely colors whichever you like.

Treatments -AMBI - Fade Cream
sharmilaa 1/20/2012 1:17:00 PM
The worst fade cream I have tried... and trust me I have tried alot!. During my pregnancy I had melasma or pregnancy mask - my ENTIRE face had mask like pigmentation. I have tried Porcelena, Esoterica,Skin success, Nadinola & a few high end hydroqunoine creams that all performed well but this one is the most useless cream I have ever tried. On to Ambi: This did not lighten my pigmentation AT ALL. I used this for 6 months with no results at all. And the fade cream both for oily & normal skin broke me out in cystic acne several times. As soon this cream touches my skin I get breakouts (in next few days or weeks.) I still kept trying in the hopes that it may lighten my last few pigmentations left but zilch!. I even tried it on my acne scars but it just made them appear more vibrant red. This cream both formulas oily/normal are VERY oily & sticky. I cannot tolerate it on my skin. Options: Skin Success (This one worked very well did not break me out) and Nadinola (4% hydroqunoine) worked much better.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
sharmilaa 1/20/2012 12:51:00 PM
Finish - It doesnot give me total matte finish (like I would like) but is not dewy either... satin perhaps. Packaging - Would prefer a pump but I am guessing that's how Revlon can keep the cost low for these. Color - What was Revlon thinking? All their medium shades higher & lower run either pink or ruddy red. I have checked under every light/sunlight and their shades are all too pink or red. I have swatched it over & over again some of the shades actually look like calamine lotion!.Those with yellow/golden/olive undertones or Rosacea may not find the shades apt. Blending - Easy to blend with fingers or a brush no problem there at all. Consistency - liquid, (more dilute than the older revlon foundations). I had melasma after pregnancy that did not completely go away... so this did not cover it quiet well as the brown patches still showed through. The watery consistency foundations are not one of my favorite especially at my age (40+). Coverage - If you donot have pigmentation,Rosacea, sundamage, or severe acne marks and scars this foundation is doable for you. I would not recommend this foundation to women with more matured or troubled skin. Doesnot cover much & yet looks mask like or heavy, that's strange. There are fabulous foundations these days with better colors, consistency & coverage just save some bucks & get something better.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - Triple Moisture cream lather shampoo
sharmilaa 1/18/2012 2:30:00 PM
If you have dry, course or damaged hair like mine (see my profile pic), this does a fine job of not stripping all the moisture out of your hair. It did not make my hair soft (that's the job of a conditioner) but it did not dry my hair out like some others. I had been frustrated with most shampoos as they made my colored hair very dry but triple moisture just makes sure your hair doesnot become straw like. This shampoo has a cream like consistency & texture but lathers very well infact. My hair feels clean & moisturized. My only gripe with with this product is that it doesnot protect hair color. After I used this & dried my hair I noticed it had removed most of the hair color from my greys. All my grey's became noticable in one wash. So if you are looking for a shampoo that is hair color protectant or if you have a lot of grey's this might not work for you. For others I think this is a good shampoo regularly used this will not dry or damage your hair.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Golightly
sharmilaa 1/18/2012 2:01:00 PM
This is a stunning color! just gorgeous. I wanted a bronze/gold/brown color so i decided to try a few at the mall to name some - Urban decay: Smog, Mac: Woodwinked, Tempting. Of all the colors I liked this one the best. It is deep and rich dirty brown bronze color that looks very unique compared to the others (maybe there is some sublte olive added to the shade but the olive is not at all noticeable). Almost like a rich rich brown was churned in with bronze and olive with buttery texture and sophisticated sheen (no glitter shimmer that can look tacky). Golightly is similar to urban decay's Smog but definately richer in color and has more depth - has more sheen than shimmer.(try both the colors on each eyelid & you will notice golightly just stands out! - in color, texure & finish . The last time I went on Stila's website this was out of stock. Makes me look stunningly sexy.! I have to try some more Stila colors (this was my first Stila eyeshadow), prefer these to Mac. Also Stila eyeshadow texture is just like butter - glides through in one stroke not like you are putting some powder or chalk on lids like some others. Other options: Urban Decay Smog, Mac Tempting

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl
sharmilaa 1/18/2012 1:00:00 PM
My Skintone Medium/Tan STRONG golden/yellow undertones. NC38 I think this is a lovely gold eyeshadow that is more of a pure gold color (than antique gold as mentioned in the description by Mac). I like to use this for all over lid wash that just brightens and glistens my eyes (use it lightly though). On me this doesnot pull orange as I have tan golden skin to begin with, just blends with my skin (used lightly) to give a shimmering wash. Other options: Mac: Tempting, Urban Decay: Smog, Half Baked, Baked

Eye Shadow -MAC - Patina (Frost)
sharmilaa 1/18/2012 12:19:00 PM
Patina looks like the color of my skin, almost just a shade darker when applied on my lids. When swatched on my hand it was a light dirty muted gold with slightest of olive undertone such a beautiful color...that did not transfer on my lids the same. The color payoff is terrible barely shows up just makes my dark eyelid look darker and tired. Terrible. The Frost finish of mac's eyeshadow have absolutely no lustre or sheen not even the slightest . I donot like Mac's frost finish eyeshadows as they look very dull compared to other finishes. Inspite of the fact I did buy Satin taupe (which I will review after i have tried). What a shame gorgeous color with no color payoff & doesnot transfer on the lid well, texture lack lustre & dry.

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Antique Jade kohl
sharmilaa 1/3/2012 6:09:00 PM
For the name "Antique Jade" I expected it to be a green eyeliner. It turns out this is a blackened green, predominantly a black eyeliner with some shimmer green that reflects on close look in the bathroom mirror (in the sunlight it looks plain black). If you draw a thin line it will looks mostly black. Mind you it is a very pretty eyeliner. if you are bored of plain black eyeliner & are looking for a pazzaz & a slight tint of jade color this is for you, but if you are looking for a green eyeliner then this is not green enough. I would advice you to try it before. Nevertheless I still think it is a good eyeliner that can be used everyday. I bought this online without testing cause i was looking for jade/emerald green eyeliner. I wish I would have at least googled images to look at some pictures of the shade before ordering. Please look at the images on google if u find.

Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep
sharmilaa 12/27/2011 10:54:00 AM
Just amazing! I have extremely fine but frizzy course thin hair that get's parched & hair color makes it extremely dry. I had tried the aussie 3 minute miracle in the white bottle but was not impressed at all. Apprehensive at first i decided to try the 3 minute miracle DEEP ( looks very similar except that it is a dark blue small bottle)... absolutely fantastic conditions hair very well. It is thick just glides on my hair, doesnot give me globs of hair fall while conditioning like some others do and leaves my hair moisturised silky smooth. My only gripe is that I have long hair & i like to condition often every second to third day so i am going to run out of this conditioner in probably 2 to 3 weeks. On a positive note I bought it at shoprite for only 2.19 $ not bad at all. I am also going to try their moist conditioner next as it come in a larger quantity review that later for you all. Do give it a try.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Superior Preference Hair Colour
sharmilaa 12/18/2011 7:29:00 PM
Color in review: 8G Golden Blonde. Absolutely gorgeous color. The problem i have is that the consistency of the product is very runny and get's difficult to use on the bottom hair especially if it is long.My hair was lightened a bit to a light brown before i used this. So for brunettes with medium brown hair it will work & if you donot get the color in the first try donot give up use this again once or twice to get to the color you want. Make sure you use a color care shampoo as i feel this color doesnot stay long enough on atleast my dark hair & may come out on washing with shampoo. For dark black hair if you bleach your hair for about 20 -23 mins and then use this color you will get a beautiful caramel golden color. Please make sure to use 2 boxes for long hair . Hope that helps :)

Shampoo -John Frieda - Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo
sharmilaa 12/18/2011 7:13:00 PM
BEWARE FOR COLOR TREATED OR LIGHTENED HAIR. It took me a very long time to get my black hair lightened to a perfect light golden sunset/caramel brown shade from black. So I thought i will try lightening it some more naturally instead of bleach by using this shampoo. Big mistake! I had just colored my hair 4 days back - washed my hair after it was dry i checked my hair & guess what? all my hair color that was brown yellow/golden was gone leaving me with a DARKER dull brassy red/orange tint & black hair. I will have to color my hair all over again. Please if you lighten you dark hair & color treat it be careful it may REMOVE GOLDEN/YELLOW TONES leaving you with darker hair with brassy red tints that are dark & dull. Never had this kind of problem with any other shampoo. It will alter your hair color to a dark shader than before.
