Liquid -Avon - Extralasting Foundation SPF 12

Not extralasting at all, very sheer, almost no coverage, streaky. Horribly expensive (17 dollars) for such poor quality. Regret buying it.

It says "EXTRA LASTING" on the lid. It promises "until 18 hours of shine-free skin". None of the that!! Besides, it makes my face look chalky. Useless product, a big waste of money (it's pricey where I live).

Don't forget to keep it in your bag at all times and reapply every other hour, which means: NO lasting power - is this supposed to be Chanel?? (mine was bought at the duty free of some European airport)

Liquid -MAC - Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation

This foundation doesn't work for me. It gives a pretty good coverage and nice looking skin, but after one or two hours it's swimming on top of my t-zone (I wear Neutrogena oil-free-mosturizer and a MAC primer), a big greasy mess. I give it four lippies for it might work well for others with a less oily t-zone. MAC-shops in my country charge 75 dollars for it (MAC website price: 30 dollars) and don't accept returns. Edit: don't use a telefone while wearing this, unless you want it all smeared up

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Poison

This perfume lasts on you like no other (I've ever tried), be it Chanel's Chance or the other Diors (even in its EDT version). Good value also for this reason: no need to reapply like other equally expensive ones. Got it as a gift recently and wearing it (over again) happily. I don't think that "fashion" or "tendencies" apply to something as personal as a perfume. Good scents are immortal. Strong stuff, use it carefully.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Skin
rated 2 of 5

I got this product as a gift from overseas, so I didn't pick it up myself. I’ve read the other reviews raving about it, and I guess the problem is that it doesn't suit my skin. I have large, visible pores around my nose and on the forehead and it didn’t do anything for them, they kept totally visible. This primer does even out skin and makes it look matte right after applying, nevertheless, my t-zone gets greasy very soon. Oil leaks through the foundation making a big mess, be it in hot weather or not. It seems that I get even oilier by wearing it than not wearing any primer at all. The glitter doesn’t do anything for you: It disappears under foundation, while looking tacky if the primer is worn by itself, in my opinion. Pros: perfect package: no-frills, nice, sturdy, hygienic (pump). It does make the skin smooth so the foundation glides over it. Cons: It doesn't make any difference in case of large pores; (my) skin gets oily on the t-zone very soon and oil comes through the foundation (be it a MAC foundation or not); unnecessary glitter; awfully expensive in Brazilian MAC shops, where you pay 250% of the price listed on the English-speaking website. I won’t buy it again, but I’d give other MAC primers a try. I’ll wait until my next trip to Europe, for MAC prices are so much lower there.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse

If applied with the fingers, this foundation settles into my big pores in form of tiny, yet visible dough beads - yuck! With a flat top brush it looks a bit better, but, after two hours or so my skin looks super greasy, and after 3 it's a big mess, even if the weather isn't hot. My guess is that it simply doesn't suit me. It's hard to apply evenly and distribute the right amount over your face. And it must be a small amount, otherwise it will look cakey. Never seen so many different petroleum-based silicones and polymers in a single product. Maybe because I don't read their formulae that often! Scary!! (In Brazil it's actually kind of expensive, so no point for "cheap") It gets one point for the good packaging and for being honest and unfolding the petrochemicals catalogue in a readable way right on the bottom of the pot!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Carbon
rated 2 of 5

Unpigmented and doesn't last much. Never thought a MAC product could be so disappointing. Notice I've applied it over MAC-foundation, MAC-allround primer, and using a MAC brush (having bought everything in Europe). Even over black eyeliner it doesn't get better. Wish I could try more of their eyeshadows but in Brazil, MAC products cost 2,5 times more than in France, for instance. Plus, the Brazilian MAC shop will not accept returns, so, I am not trying their eyeshadows again. (It says CARBON MATTE EYE SHADOW, and comes in a round black pot). Editing: on the brighter side: nice, typical MAC no frills-packaging. Easy to blend if layered and if using a good blending brush
