i LOVE this balm, its my favorite, although i am intrigued by the Brambleberry one... i havent seen it newhere... but neways this is a nice subtle mint and rose, and it gives a sheer reddish color and gloss to my lips.. ive been using the same tin for a year or so now and i still have alot left! it is def. my go to lip treatment whenever my lips or dry or just need a little color. i hope they never discontinue this!! and the mint is this is nice because it freshens ur breath! LOVE
Skincare - Body -Queen Helene - 100% Cocoa Butter (stick)

Saw such great reviews on this product, so i bought it for a $1 at Rite Aid-- thought i really loved it when i first started using it, the smell is sweet and yummy, i used it on my lips, my cuticles, and my rough wintry knuckles, and even my knees... i didnt really feel like it did anything, it seemed like a nice concept, but i just felt like the stuff just sat on my skin.. it never really sinked in or left my skin feeling moisturized As for the packaging-- is there really any other way to have solid cocoa butter? lol.. kinda weird and cheap, but hey.. i guess it works.. i wished it did wonders for me.. i still love the smell and just keep it on my bedside table just because haha....
My best friend was playing with my hair the other day and noticed that it was suuupper dry and so she went out and bought me pureology-- i kno shes a sweetheart-- and ever since my hair has been revived and very very healthy, i even got complimented many times by my hair dresser! i definately love this shampoo, it has done wonders for me... and the conditioner with this as well makes it a nice combo, i love how the conditioner tingles my scalp and has a nice fresh minty smell to it.. i just wish this was CHEAPER!!!! although this shampoo lasts for awhile, i cant really afford $25 dollars for shampoo and another $25 for conditioner.. maybe someday when im rolling in the dough (im a college grad) i will be able to afford this amazing shampoo, but until then i will need to find something to fill in that fits in my budget- if anyone has any ideas pleassee message me! thankss! but for those of you who can afford this great shampoo, please give this a try with the conditioner!
Treatments -Desert Essence - Tea Tree Oil (100% Pure Australian)
rhurrell 4/16/2008 5:42:00 PM
This stuff is great.. ive been using this for about a month now and with the use with the desert essence jojoba oil.. the packaging really sucks on this- i recommend using a dropper or else there really is no other way to use this product.. personally i LOVE the smell- its hard to explain but it just wakes ur senses up. after washing my face and using my dickenson's witch hazel toner (which is mixed with aspirin and some TTO).. i mix 3 drops of this with 6 drops of the jojoba oil every night and mix it together with my palms and just smear it all over my face... and just go to sleep with it and wake up to soft, even toned skin! its amazing also as a spot treatment! i just use a Q-tip dipped in the bottle and just put it on where blemishes are coming in, etc... and it really does help reduce the size and get rid of them! its magic! i usually get some painful blemishes around that time of the month.. but with this stuff its like i can kill them before they even come in! they literally reduce in size and never really "ripen"- it can leave very very little dry skin on the spot treatments if there was a pimple blooming there but hey!, id rather have that then a huge nasty red painful pimple!!! i definitely recommend this to all my friends and to you! so go out to ur local trader joe's and pick some of this up and some jojoba oil and watch your skin literally transform in front of you...
Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure

OMG- thanks to MUA (of coarse) i discovered this amazing product..to all the great reviews about this stuff.. it really is a fantastic product...because of this my skin has been looking soo great.. i just picked this up at my local trader joes along with the desert essence Tea tree oil..after i wash my face and use toner at night use about 6 drops of JJ oil and 3 drops of TTO and mix it in my palms together and just rub it all over my face.. it takes a little while to sink in, but when i wake up in the morning my face is soo soft and supple feeling--i also used a little bit and put it in my conditioner (although my hair seems a little bit oiler recently , but i dont know if its due to this) but this is such a great product- i recommend getting a little dropper for it cuz it can get messy if u dont. i even got complimented the other day how my skin looks so glowy.. this def. evens out skin tone, moisterizes and leave skin feeling soo smooth... buy this if u dont already have it!!!!! ur skin will love you for it UPDATE 5/13: i stopped using this product as a moisturizer, i felt that it was clogging my pores. I still do use this to remove my eye make up and for my cuticles. I still love this product, its a great all around product that can be used for a variety of things! Just did not work out as a moisturizer for my face.
i have to update because i just LOVE this mask!!.. you get used to the smell... my skin has gotten a little sensitive recently-- not due to this..but i do feel a slight stinging sensation when i first put this on.. but this mask is great to use a couple times a week, it really helps clear your pores and makes them appear smaller! love this mask, it works great...after this sits on ur skin for 15-20 min u can literally see all the nasty oil it pulled out of your pores!! it help prevents pimples from getting too big- very refreshing and leaves skin feeling clean and smooth..whenever i feel like i have a few blemishes that are forming, i put this on at night, and when i wake up, my blemishes are significantly smaller! ive gotten my sister hooked on it (she even uses it as a spot treatment at night) and whenever i use this mask i always make my boyfriend use it too (he secretly likes it lol)....highly recommended for the price! UPDATE 10/18/09: I still use this face mask, but only once or twice a month. It is a nice cheap face mask and i like to *think* it is doing something nice for my face.. not sure if it really is, but i do feel like it pulls some of the 'gunk' out. Plus its always fun to put a green mask on your face once in a while :)
Never really noticed the smell, its def not a fav smell of mine, but what really bothers me about the honey lip balm is the texture of it.. at first it was soft but now the little rocky things in it just really hurt my lips! it is def not a slight scrub or exfoliating, it is just painful when i put this on my lips, i cant even enjoy it. it also it doesnt leave my lips feeling silky smooth.. not recommended!
Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Bare Vitamins Skin Rever Upper
rhurrell 4/10/2008 8:47:00 PM
When i bought my BE starter kit, this came in it.. and so i started to use it before i put on my make up, it felt nice and smooth going on, but it really dried my skin up and really made me break out.. my friend who also got the starter kit broke out from the rever upper as well....i wouldn't consider myself to have sensitive skin either... oh well! not the product for me.
Crème -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Cream Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rhurrell 4/8/2008 8:48:00 PM
I purchased this item about a week or so ago, not sure if i am totally in love with it yet. I understand what people are saying about it feeling a little heavy.. so i use about 2 pumps of med#2 (i am half caucasian, and have asian) the color is slightly pink on me but after my mixing it blends in very nicely, neways.... i mix my 2 pumps with 2 drops of jojoba oil and 1 drop of tea tree oil. this thins out the texture of the foundation a little bit, and it gives a nice even skintone all over my face, and i usually dust a little powder over my whole face.. so far so good, i am just not sure if its clogging my pores or not..i also read some comments about people saying they didnt look so good in pictures because it made their faces white, havent taken any photos yet, so ill update soon. UPDATE::: love this stuff, mixed with jojoba oil and TTO, it really makes it a nice foundation that covers redness and blemishes.. and i actually received a compliment that my skin looks very glowy.. im sure its because of this foundation and also because of my new facial regime (i think i spelled that right?) neways.. highly recommended!! i also noticed that even tho that i set this with my NYC powder, that makeup still comes off when i blow my nose or if i touch my face with my shirt or whatever... so i dunno if this is my fault or the products fault.. maybe i should use a primer? update #2: hate how this stuff gets all over my cell phone and key pad, it leaves a gross film everywhere! i also notice it doesnt last the whole day.. taking off a lippie...
Accessories -Unlisted Brand - Ugg slippers and boots
rhurrell 4/5/2008 8:57:00 PM
i love uggs.. i practically live in them.. they keep me soo warm and can look very cute and fashionable if worn correctly! i own about 5 pairs of uggs.. they last forever, i just love getting new styles and colors.. best boots ever.. splurge on the money for these guys because the other imitation brands wont do your feet justice! some people think that they r ugly.. but apparently they have never put their feet into one of these babies, because once you do, you're hooked!
one of my fav eyeshadows in my makeup bag.. i always go to this shade when i just want a natural look, and i can always layer it and create a nice neutral smokey eye... i've been using this shade for a few years now and will cont. to buy, love this color.. and looks good on every skintone (im NC35).. highly recommend!
good to have on the go, lots of moisture, nice shine, good color.. love it!
Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
rhurrell 4/2/2008 3:38:00 AM
i bought this product because i ran out of my BE at the time.. and needed foundation at the moment that was more in my budget and coudlnt afford a new container of my BE.. used this product for about a month and was never as satisfied with it.. the container it comes in isnt very functional and the brush doesn't hold the powder and almost hurts when brushed against my skin...it dried my skin out, and i never really felt that i could find the perfect shade.. on top of that it made me BREAK OUT!!! i got cystic type acne all over my face (mainly on my chin) after using this product, which didnt clear up for a couple of months.. it was awful and painful.. i would not recommend this product to anyone, and it also doesn't have spf in it like BE does.. im not saying BE is the best, because i recently stopped using it because im trying to branch out, but i guess u get what you pay for.. i not against de makeup products/ foundations by any means, this one just didnt work out for me :(
i have been a fan of venus razors since they first came out, i have been with the original venus for a few years now, and between those few years i also purchased the shick intuition, which i fell in love with, but really quickly got sick of the size and how quickly the soap would disappear.. so i went back to my venus, but i liked the fact that the intuition had the soap.. so i tried my sisters venus breeze, and the soap on that would get all gross and slimy, so after much research i broke down and got the Embrace... i LOVE it! it has a really close shave and the moisture strips are very very moisturizing! i even forgot to put lotion on my legs after my shower my legs were so soft and moisturized! even though it may be a little expensive, its worth it!
