Concealers -Edward Bess - Platinum Concealer

This might be in the top 5 worst concealer products I have ever used. Covers absolutely nothing. Does not stay put, creases and melts off the face almost immediately, even with powder to set. The only positive thing was the color was great.

Hair Color -Amphigory - Special Effects in Blood Red
reddplanet 3/27/2012 1:24:00 PM
Sadly I haven't used this in a couple years, but I am REALLY tempted to buy a new bottle and use it again. I had SFX Blood Red hair for like 7 years before I had to get a more "natural" shade for my previous employer's requirements. I used to do my roots with a level 6 or 7 auburn and then do this over top of all. It was the best red ever. Bright as hell and hung around raelly well. The gold metallic "cast" it left on the hair was probably my favorite part. It did bleed HORRIBLY, and I recall one night in a drunken misadventure we discovered I could draw on the wall with my head and leave a big red streak behind...

Cleansers -Simple - Cleansing Facial Wipes
reddplanet 2/29/2012 6:05:00 PM
I really like these wipes. I have used a few different ones but these are truly the most gentle ones I have ever used. It did a decent job removing my makeup but not complete removal. Good enough for me.

Concealers -Lancome - Effacernes

I really do not get why companies are allowed to label a product concealer when it's not completely opaque in one coat and requires layers. Buildable coverage does not equal concealer. This is yet another product that should not be allowed legally to be called concealer. It conceals NOTHING.

Concealers -Maybelline - Fit Me
reddplanet 5/26/2011 1:45:00 PM
I picked this up last week to take on a quick trip and test out. The colors are not all that great to choose from, though that might have been because my Target doesn't carry the whole line, I dunno. I picked up all three of the lightest shades, one was stark pale pink, another was stark pale peach, and the next one up (225?) was kind of a slightly darker peach. None of the colors were all that great, esp not on my face. The coverage is mediocre. But I have come to expect that from concealers now. The texture is nice, especially considering the price point. When I mix the 225 with the CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Undereye in Buff Beige I get a better color and some more coverage when they're layered. For the price it's not awful, but Ill be on the lookout a while longer I guess.

Concealers -Chanel - Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer
reddplanet 5/26/2011 1:42:00 PM
I picked this up at Nordstrom last week after reading enough reviews to make me give it a shot. If you want a concealer that barely covers anything and is a weird color, this is your top pick! It's ridiculously strangley colored, and VERY sheer. Even after 3 coats it's still not covered anything. Going back.

Concealers -It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye
reddplanet 9/29/2010 8:56:00 AM
I have been reading about this and seeing tons of reviews for this product around the internet and in a few magazines as well as the raves in here on MUA....so when it debuted last weekend on QVC Friday night Beauty I picked it up. I picked up the "Neutral Medium" shade, which is not neutral or medium toned. But that's not the point. What I want to know is what product was ACTUALLY used on the models in the QVC presentation because there is no way it was this product. No way. So, what *is* the point? That it's a concealer, and a concealer that *covers absolutely nothing*. When the words BUILDABLE COVERAGE are on the package, you automatically know to skip this product bec if I wanted buildable coverage I'd buy foundation and layer it. When I buy concealer I expect it to CONCEAL. Be OPAQUE. That's the whole point! The consistency is weird and kind of greasy and requires powder or it just never dries. It requires powder between each layer or it just rubs itself right back off. This is going back, as it does not work. I can see now why so many of the bloggers/video reviews were just as biased as they sounded, having received the product free from the company to review. I paid money for this product, and now will lose money paying to return it.

Concealers -Smashbox - Second Skin Long Wear Concealer
reddplanet 9/4/2010 12:59:00 PM
What good is a concealer when it doesn't actually conceal anything? You're right, it's NO GOOD! This stuff is sheer, runny, and pathetic. It doesn't cover anything, and it's really not very "waterproof" or longwearing. It lasted MAYBE an hour on me, and that was 8 LAYERS around my eyes to barely make a dent in my circles. For $30 it should have a little more going for it but it doesnt and it went back.

Concealers -Laura Geller - Real Deal Full Coverage Cream Concealer
reddplanet 8/28/2010 9:50:00 PM
I bought this from QVC about 6 months ago. I am still not 100% on it and probably won't buy it again. It's touted as being opaque and full coverage and it's definitely not either. It does NOT cover dark circles, at all. I bought both Fair and Light and neither is perfect in color for me. It is far from waterproof or all-day wearing. It is usually long gone by 5pm and that's WITH touchups. It cannot be built-upon, once it's on and you add more, it's cake-city and flakes off. I really hoped this would be a winner for me, I have dark circles that make me look beaten. But I need waterproof, unmoveable and unflaking and it MUST be opaque...and this is none of those things.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
reddplanet 11/5/2009 10:44:00 AM
I have tried this and the original, but I VASTLY prefer this Sin version. I always wear shimmery shadows, and this makes a great base for all of them without being crazy overkill. The color is pretty nice as well, not too dark, and not too pink. Staying power is incredible with this product on. I layer it with my usual shimmery ivory powder shadow and practically have to chisel it off. The packaging sucks however. I really hope that is addressed soon. A squeeze tube with a wand would be ideal.

Eyeliner -Smashbox - Waterproof Shadow Liner in Starstruck

This might be HG material. I have it in several colors but this is my favorite. It's my go-to. I also got it in a kit and couldn't love something more. It stays put and it's easy to do a "natural" smokey eye and a REALLY smokey eye. Love it.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen Mascara (waterproof)
reddplanet 7/6/2009 4:52:00 PM
If there was an option under would you buy this again for HELL NO, that's what I'd select. I tried this in both regular and WP and I don't know that I have ever used such a god-awful product of any kind, let alone mascara. It was just clumps and chunks and a mess going on, didn't stay on my lashes at all. I thought it was a mistake, or a bad tube so I bought one elsewhere and it was just as bad. I returned both. Normally I find non-wp mascara to be way way wet but this was like...dried out or something. Either way it didn't thicken, didn't do anything except just flake right off, even while applying. Garbage. The waterproof version was even worse. It was useless.

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
reddplanet 2/25/2009 4:24:00 PM
I received my order of this item yesterday and wore it so far for two days. The coverage and staying powder is pretty good. Today I wore it alone and applied with both sponges and brushes over spot concealer. So far so good. Yesterday I wore it over foundation with brush application. And that was pretty good. I purchased Shade 2 (never settle petal) and it was a tad too dark for me, but the shade was great. I ordered Shade 1 (me vain champagne) which I will receive Friday and I am hopeful that it is a better c olor. I have rosacea and keratosis on my cheeks and this covered it very well even with a brush!

Blush -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy
reddplanet 11/21/2008 11:09:00 PM
So far I am loving this. I just tried it today for the first time, and the color is to die for. I picked up Ethereal and it looks to me like a slightly less shimmery, slightly brighter shade of Orgasm. Usually I buy more peach shades but I decided to give this a whirl...so far I LOVE it. It looks so natural on my skin, warms it up without making me red or too bright. And it's also not too shimmery, something that I also like. I like a little shimmer but I still wanna see the color in the jar. This might be a winner :)
