Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Get Figgy
rachelicious904 2/23/2012 7:01:00 AM
A very lovely MUA'er gave me this in a swap and I really love it :) The packaging is very cute, and you get a decent amount of product. The colour works so well as a base for me for lots of different looks. It's a reddy, plum, taupey colour that can definitely be built up for more colour. It works well with other cream or powder shadows and definitely doesn't crease. Wonderful!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
rachelicious904 2/23/2012 6:45:00 AM
I continue to repurchase this product. It keeps my skin hydrated and doesn't break me out or make me oily. As others have said it doesn't work when your skin is very dry, but it's perfect for a daily moisturiser, especially in Summer. I get dry patches on my face and use a heavier moisturiser just on those, as I wouldn't want to use something that heavy all over my face. That's why this is perfect for me, if you're face is very dry all over, this isn't the product for you.

Styling Products -TRESemme - 24 Hour Body Sky High Plump Powder
rachelicious904 2/16/2012 11:19:00 AM
I was just reading the reviews for the Schwarzkopf Osis Mattifying powder and it sounds exactly the same as this but much more expensive! This was supposed to be £5 but I got another product 2 for £5. It's really good, just sprinkle some onto your roots and massage in and it really does add so much volume to your hair, better than anything I've ever tried. I have long curly hair but when I straighten it it's too straight and limp so this does wonders for it. My favourite thing about it is that it is matte, and doesn't leave any shiny residue on your hair. It's much like dry shampoo. It does leave a buildup on your hair (obviously) so clarifying if you regularly use this is a must. Tiny bottle but a little goes a LONG way.

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick - Fabulous Fig
rachelicious904 2/15/2012 8:05:00 AM
I freakin' love this lipstick. I have quite pigmented lips and on me it is a deep deep brown dark red, that is a little vampy on my pale skin tone but I must say I love it. It is a very dramatic lipstick, I'm not really into bright red lipsticks as they don't really suit me so this is perfect. I love matte lipsticks as I hate shiny lips so this is the perfect pop of colour without shine or lustre. I mostly wear it for nights out and if I was more daring I'd wear it in the daytime. The texture is really nice, not drying, goes on evenly and has good staying power (especially as it is matte). It lasts a lot longer than the MAC mattene L/S. For such a cheap lipstick I am really impressed. I also like the fact that when it fades, it fades evenly leaving a tint on your lips so you don't have to constantly keep checking your lips to top up. Would definitely repurchase this as long as it isn't disc.

Foundations -Rimmel - Wake Me Up
rachelicious904 2/14/2012 8:17:00 AM
I got a little sache of this in Elle Magazine so this is kind of a preliminary review. I really like it! The colour I received was a tad dark for my skin tone (soft beige) but it actually wasn't orange at all and I think it would be wearable. I have a pale olive skin tone and I usually go for the lighter colours as DS foundations tend to be orange the darker they are, but this is actually very natural and blends really well into the skin. It smells really nice and fruity, but not too much. The coverage is really really nice, definitely buildable so you can wear it very light or almost full coverage. It just looks so natural, I'm usually not a fan of dewy finishes but this is just really glowy. I don't feel like I need to powder over it. I think I might actually buy it, but I'm really happy with my bourjois healthy mix so I might buy this for Summer as it will be really nice for a Summer glow! I think it is on offer now as it's only just come out so I'm definitely going to purchase :) EDIT. I took a lippie off for this as I tried another sample and the staying power wasn't great, It went a bit patchy.

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Foundation
rachelicious904 2/13/2012 3:46:00 PM
I am really really impressed with this foundation. I love the finish, which is not too matte but not greasy, very very natural. it covers up redness nicely and just makes your skin look so much better. I will repurchase this again and again. The smell is also quite pleasant. I have 51 which is the palest and it suits my skin really nicely. The coverage is medium, I only need a little concealer on my cheeks to cover up my freckles a bit more. Love it! So glad I decided to try :) It is better than anything I've tried, and although it isn't dirt cheap It's really affordable compared to others out there. I'm going to buy it in a darker shade for Summer.

Mascara -Max Factor - False lash effect
rachelicious904 2/2/2012 6:03:00 AM
Fave mascara! Gives great length and volume and doesn't clump or flake. True black colour. I find that mascaras are usually good the first couple of times I use them and then deteriorate but this has stayed consistent. It's not reaally cheap though and the amount of mascara I go through it does add up! However I will probs repurchase.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rachelicious904 1/21/2012 4:59:00 PM
I love this foundation :) I like MAC studio fix fluid but I think I actually prefer this as it is less thick and sticky in texture, still provides good coverage and is less than half the price (if you buy off Ebay). I have the one for dry skin in ivory and it is a really good match, good for pale skin and doesn't oxidise at all. I apply after moisturising and use a synthetic powder brush to buff it into my skin which works really well. I use a bit extra for my cheeks to cover up my freckles and I find that I don't even really need concealer. It isn't cakey at all, if it goes cakey on you then it's simple - you're applying too much! Yeah it's annoying that it doesn't come with a pump but neither does studio fix! I find it quite transfer resistant once I set it with a tiny bit of powder unlike other d/s foundations I've tried (it gets all over my mobile phone!). I haven't experienced any break outs but I don't use it every day, just days when I want more coverage. For the price you really can't beat it - I can't justify spending £40 on a foundation as they don't last! Obviously it won't be right for everyone but I'd say give it a try :) EDIT: This brought my skin out in tiny bumps after a week, figures :(

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Freshly Rosy
rachelicious904 1/14/2012 6:06:00 PM
I didn't like this the first time I put it on. I had dry lips and it just made them look awful, and felt really cheap and tacky. I tried it a couple of days later over moisturised lips and it was like using a different lipstick! I definitely wouldn't recommend using it on dry lips, as I guess it's not a miracle worker. If your lips are moisturised it doesn't feel like it's drying them out. This colour is really nice, on the pink side of pinky/nude. It is quite pigmented, not too sheer and not too matte. I don't care for the smell or taste (if you accidentally get some in your mouth!) but for the price this is a good quality lipstick. I really like the colour, it's very wearable for every day use. The packaging is also quite nice :)

Blush -Illamasqua - Cream in Dixie
rachelicious904 1/14/2012 3:05:00 PM
Erm, was I using a different blush to all of the other reviewers? It definitely doesn't stay on all day, I was lucky if it stayed an hour on me! Lovely consistency, nice to blend, great colour, but what's the point in all of that if it won't even stay on? I tried it with and without foundation, tried setting it with powder but to no avail. I've had more luck with my maybelline dream touch cream blush which was half the price. I've heard that the powder blushes are nice but I have a patch of eczema on my cheek which powder seems to highlight, so I have to use cream blushes. Unfortunately this didn't make it into my make up collection and I put it up for swap.

Blush -Superdrug - MUA (Make Up Academy) Blush Shade 1
rachelicious904 1/10/2012 4:58:00 PM
This blush is actually really nice! I didn't have to think twice about buying it as it was only a quid! A QUID! I love the colour it's a girly pink, a total dupe for MAC Pink Swoon. It's really pigmented and you need hardly any on the brush, and the texture is so silky smooth. It is slightly shimmery but no big chunks of glitter. Overall a really good product, I'd pay more than a £1 for this and I've used it quite a lot since I bought it. Would definitely buy the other shades as they're so affordable.

Conditioner -Dove - Daily Treatment Conditioner, Intensive Repair
rachelicious904 1/9/2012 4:42:00 PM
I wouldn't use this everyday as my hair is pretty 'normal' and this would weigh it down, however I use it after my clarifying shampoo (about once every two weeks) and the results are amaaaazing! I was thinking of buying something expensive like a B&B conditioner or Kerastase treatment to use after clarifying but now I don't have to and can spend the extra money on something else as it's so affordable :) Will definitely repurchase.

Highlighters -Fresh - Satin Luster
rachelicious904 1/9/2012 3:07:00 PM
I'm in Love! No one is ever going to prize my grubby little hands from this palette! My search for the perfect highlighter is over! I'm really specific in what I look for in a highlighter and I've never found anything that cuts it. Liquid seem to disappear, be too sparse or glittery (BeneFits high beam was probably the worst I've tried) and I'm not too keen on powder highlighters as I feel that you can't be specific enough in placing it on your face, and they also seem to emphasise the dry patches on my skin. This is perfect, It isn't liquidy or powdery, it's somewhere in between and it shows up so nicely and lasts all day. You don't need hardly any and it's not glittery at all. It's exactly what a highlighter should be. The best part is that it's in 3 shades so although it is pretty extortionate you're getting 3 for the price and can pick and choose for what mood you're in. I tend to use the pink one to highlight my cheekbones, the peach down my nose and cupids bow and the pearl to highlight in the arch of my brows. I think the peach could be used under foundation to give a glow to the whole face. If you're giving up on your search for a HG Highlighter don't hesitate to purchase this. The price is a bit extravagant and I don't usually spend this much on a product but I would repurchase because it's that good! I should last me a long time nevertheless.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lip Stain
rachelicious904 1/6/2012 6:07:00 AM
I love this lipstain! It's better than Benetint and Posietint which are both crap. I bought passion which is a really nice fuschia colour. It's so much better than using a fuschia lipstick because it's not as intense, so nice! The balm is good, I was quite surprised that it didn't swivel up but then I guess it would affect the whole design. I only got it yesterday so I don't know about the drying up thing but I'll update in a week or so :) UPDATE 23/02/12: Almost two months later and it still hasn't dried up, still perfect!

Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap - Mild
rachelicious904 1/4/2012 12:57:00 PM
HG HG HG! I can't live without this product. I have dry, sensitive skin and any cheap drugstore facial washes (even ones that claim to be 'gentle') break me out, dry me up or give my skin a reaction. It is expensive but it really does keep my skin calm and spot free and doesn't aggravate dry patches - so gentle. I use it in the shower every other day, along with the dramatically different moisturising lotion (don't bother with toner) and my skin is perfect. When I ran out of my big bottle I tried to live without it and bought some cheaper ones and just ended up wasting my money! My skin was bumpy and I developed a red scratchy forehead and cheek :( I repurchased this, didn't regret it and I will repurchase again and again as I've found my perfect product :)
