Pressed Powders -LORAC - Perfectly Lit Luminizing Powder

HG Alert! I got a deluxe sample of this powder in Spotlight recently. This is a LE shade and is the darkest of the three. To give you a frame of reference, I am around NC20 and this is the same tone as my skin, but with a hint of candlelit glow. The best way I can describe how this product works for me and why I like it so much is to say that it just makes my whole face look better, no matter what else I'm wearing. I forgot to put it on yesterday and just felt like my face was a little dull and something was missing. The name of this product describes exactly what it does and I never want to be without it!

Absolute HG product. This is better than any concealer or hightlighter I've ever used, and it's both in one package. I use it to cover undereye circles, blemishes and highlight any area of my face. It covers like a dream, doesn't crease and looks completely natural, even in bright sunlight. Love!

Lipstick -Besame - Enchanting Lipstick

After being a gloss girl for years, Besame has brought me back around to wearing lipstick. So far, I have purchased Red Hot Red, Besame Red, Dusty Rose, Portrait Pink and Champagne. All are beautiful and together make up a total lipstick wardrobe. The texture is creamy but matte and long-wearing. These are much more comfortable than any other long-wearing lipsticks I've tried and are also more versatile. They can be worn full strength or applied sheerly as a stain.

Okay, this review is totally premature because I've only used this once, but FEEL MY FACE! Okay, you can't feel my face, so you're just going to have to take my word for it. It feels like a baby's butt, and I don't like that expression. My face just feels like all new skin. I'll update as I use it more, but I love this thing! Update: I've been using this for a few weeks now and I love it even more than I did at first. I did experience some purging and am now healed and my skin has never looked better. I am still using the sensitive brush but have increased the cycle time to two minutes. I do feel like my skin is cleaner and smoother than it has ever been before.

BEST EXFOLIATOR EVER. I ordered this from QVC after having read about it in magazines. The first thing I noticed was the packaging. I really love how this product is packaged so that it doesn't get contaminated. Also, you can use it in the shower and water doesn't get into the jar. The next thing I noticed was that wonderful smell while it was on my face. It smells like getting a facial. I left it on for about 30 seconds, maybe a little bit more. I was starting to feel a little tingle, but no sting, and then I washed it off. Best part was when I went to put my makeup on the next morning. It went on so smoothly, and looked completely glowy. Even in the rear view mirror of my car, I looked smooth, which never happens. I highly recommend this product.

I really love this product! It was an impulse buy at Sephora, but I've been looking for something to use on my hair for my "off" shampoo days. This is it! I disagree with the review that says this is only for blonde hair. My experience with my medium brown hair is that this product is fine and doesn't change my color at all. Really freshens my hair up without having to shampoo.

This is what I imagine it would smell like to be trapped inside a cotton candy machine. This fragrance is way too sweet for me. I returned it to Sephora one day after buying it.

Bronzers -Guerlain - Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder-Blondes 01

I know I'm in the minority here, but this bronzer was ORANGE on me. I didn't even buy it. I tested it at Sephora and even the makeup artist said, "oh, no, you can't use that." Because so many people like this one, my best advice is try before you buy.

Loose Powders -Chanel - Poudre Universal Libre

I bought this today on recommendations from a couple MUA'ers and I'm thrilled. The packaging is really nice. The tub is too big to fit in my makeup case, but it's nice enough to leave out on the counter. Then there's the powder. One of the reviews said that this powder is for older women with dry skin, and that's probably why I like it! I'm 36 (I don't think that's old), with dry skin and not a lot of oil to absorb. I love the flawless satin finish of this powder and will definitely repurchase.

Concealers -Smashbox - I Prime under eye primer and concealer

I love this concealer! I bought it with the #4 brush and have used those two together ever since, so I can't truly say whether it's the concealer or the brush that I'm loving so much, but this does a great job of covering undereye circles and blemishes. I haven't really been using the primer side, because I love my Bobbi Brown correcter for a pink-toned concealer, but the concealer is the best I've used.

Skincare - Face -Ahava - Advanced Moisturizer for normal to dry skin

I really like this moisturizer. I got it as a gift from someone who had been to Israel, so I don't know the cost in the US. I don't really care, though; I would definitely repurchase. I found it to be very moisturizing and healing where I had some old breakouts that were flaky. Within two days, my skin looked dramatically better and this was the only thing I had changed. I saw that one reviewer didn't like the scent. I do like it. It's very light and sort of baby-like. Maybe it is like baby wipes, but I like it.

Primer/ Corrector -Biotherm - PURE BRIGHT Moisturising Make-up Base

Another Biotherm product I really love! This smooths my skin before I put on my foundation. I don't know if this would be good for someone with a lot of oil, since it doesn't really mattify, but it's great on my normal-dry skin and I think it helps give me a nice satin finish and a little bit of a glow.

This is a really great toner for normal to dry skin. It's not at all irritating and easily removes any traces of cleanser while providing light hydration. I will definitely repurchase.

Moisturizers -Biotherm - Aquasource for Combination Skin

I actually have normal-dry skin which breaks out a little, so I tried this moisturizer. It's really great for me during the day under makeup because it doesn't ever leave me shiny. It does a great job of keeping my skin cool and moisturized. Because my skin's just a tiny bit dry for this, I balance it out by using the dry skin line peel cream at night.
