Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Angel

Somehow I take it this is a take it or leave it perfume. For me, it's leave it. It's SO strong - I tried it on at Douglas, and the woman across the counter from me wrapping asked if I had tried it on. It stays on FOREVER, not to mention it smells so cloyingly sweet that I went home and swore off chocolate for the next few days. Ugh.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
prettypinkkitty 11/18/2004 6:55:00 AM
Eh...I wouldn't use it again. Left my dry chapped lips the same, only now with a waxy gray sheen covering them, which wasn't quite the look I was going for. I guess I'll stick with my Vaseline....sigh.

Masks -LUSH - Cupcake Mask
prettypinkkitty 10/20/2004 7:33:00 PM
I have no idea why I ever switched off of this mask. My skin thinks it's still in my teenage years, though it's calmed down a bit. Hopefully this means when I'm fifty I'll have the skin of a thirty-year-old, but right now it's causing problems. Cupcake is the mask that disciplines my skin back into submission. I tried Brazened Honey as a possible replacement as a preventative, and I'm so sad I switched. Not only does Cupcake smell like a chocolate banana brownie (at least to me), but it also calms my skin down without overcleansing it or hurting it. I'm never switching from this again. Ever! Hurray for Cupcake! EDIT: Naughty me, I lied. I switched. My skin is paying for it. Nothing, and I mean nothing, works as good as Cupcake.

Shampoo -LUSH - HARD
prettypinkkitty 10/14/2004 5:29:00 AM
Moving to London was a shock - the water here's so hard, you feel the film on your skin after you towel off. Thanks to Hard, my hair actually obeys - it becomes nice and soft and less frizzy, which is a miracle. The only drawback I've heard is that it can be slightly drying, so I've been limiting myself to once a week, and struggling not to use it as a soap!

Cleansers -Dove - Daily Hydrating Cleansing Cloths [DISCONTINUED]

This leaves my face so soft and clean without overcleansing it. Using Pro-Activ scrub every day had left my face super oily. This has single-handedly turned the oiliness around.

Fragrances -Demeter - Gingerale Pick Me Up Spray
prettypinkkitty 8/4/2004 11:35:00 PM
I sprayed this on, and instantly I felt cooler. I could smell the carbonation and the ginger. I felt like I was actually drinking a cup of cold ginger ale. Of course, it's Demeter, so it wears out really quickly, but I really love the scent so much.

Fragrances -Demeter - Chocolate Chip Cookie

On me, this actually smells a lot like Thierry's Angel, only better. I had an extremely bad incident with Angel in a makeup shop - I was trying on perfume before class and I spritzed it on once and was left with it, nauseous and hating candy, for the rest of the day. This lightened up a lot, but still stayed. Nothing spectacular, but nice!

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Moisturizing Body Wash - "Deep Moisture"
prettypinkkitty 8/4/2004 11:30:00 PM
I basically inherited every dry skin/bad skin gene my parents had to offer. With Dove, I don't end up feeling like my skin shrunk, like I used to. Dare I say my skin actually feels a little softer than it used to, without lotion? The scent is soft and pretty too. I feel like it's almost reconditioning, but then again, YMMV. Only problem is with packaging - when I near the end, I have to stand it upside down, and then the cap collects water, which could be bad if I left it in the shower. Still, I've already gotten my next bottle - I'm almost done and don't want to be stuck without it!

Styling Products -Alberto Vo5 - detangle and shine spray
prettypinkkitty 8/4/2004 11:25:00 PM
Feh. I have curly hair that tangles easily, and this does very little. I have to keep spraying it on, and then, after a good hack or two with my wide-toothed comb, it works. It doesn't prevent breakage at ALL. Just...feh.

Treatments -Neutrogena - T/Gel
prettypinkkitty 8/4/2004 11:11:00 PM
This is the only thing that has stopped my awful flaky scalp from itching 24/7. The only problem is it's drying out my curly hair, even when I use the method given in an earlier review (with the conditioner on the bottom half of the hair). I'll deal with frizzy hair for now and figure it out later - at least I feel better, and no flakes!

Shampoo -John Frieda - Beach Blonde Cool Dip Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]
prettypinkkitty 10/6/2003 4:23:00 PM
At first, I was quite pleased with this shampoo. It was effective and I thought it wasn't drying. Biiiig mistake. My hair is becoming more and more frizzy and harder to style. Even with my deep conditioner I notice this change - how awful! I'm going over to the drugstore now and finding new shampoo because I can't use this anymore.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme
prettypinkkitty 9/14/2003 11:23:00 AM
Oh man. How my hair has improved since I've started with the Nurturing Creme. After many long days outside in the summer sun and wind, my curly hair had devolved into a brittle, frizzy, too dry mess. Just one treatment of the Nurturing Creme and my hair was almost completely fixed. I ran to Sally's to stock up. You should too!

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Purezone skin clearing gel cleanser

I've been continuing to use this product in the hopes of it working, but several months later, it's still ineffective. Seriously - nothing. Plus, the gel gives me an unpleasant burning sensation. Boo to it!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Dr. Scholl's For Her Ultra Overnight Foot Cream
prettypinkkitty 7/19/2003 9:59:00 AM
My poorly treated feet are on the road to recovery with this product. The skin on my heels is usually tight-feeling and ashy, but this product takes care of that, leaving my skin feeling wonderful. A great product; stronger than regular lotion for the parts that need it!

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
prettypinkkitty 7/10/2003 9:27:00 AM
I seriously wish I hadn't lost this. The smell keeps me happy through class, and the gloss of it makes my lips just faintly rose and super shiny. Makes me feel really girly, no matter what I'm wearing. The retro packaging is so cool, too! EDIT: Hurray, I bought it again! Just as good as before.
