Eye Shadow -New York Color - Metro Quartet-Union Square (818A)

Don't let the cheap price fool you, these shadows are excellent! They come in some nice shades and have decent pigmentation and staying power! You can't beat getting a quad for $3 or less.
After reading reviews here, I decided to splurge and try this. Since I didn't want to shell out $15.00 for a large size (in case I hated it) I bought a small travel size that was around $7. Great hairspray, and I don't normally use spray unless I'm going out on the town. It held my style nicely and gave some fullness and volume too. Washed out easily the next day and did not leave a "glue" residue behind in my hair. More than I would normally spend for a hairspray, but I recommend it if you feel like splurging.
Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Pressed Powder

I purchased this for around $3 on sale at CVS. Great powder! Looks very nice on the skin, great staying power and good color match. I hope they don't discontinue this, but I think they are since mine was marked 75% off and the shelves were not being restocked at multiple CVS stores.... :(
Although I used to use this regularly, I've found some better formulas out there. This does give you nice lashes, however the formula dries up quick and gets clumpy. Also, if your eyes tear or get wet, it runs and smears very easily, which is odd because it can withstand a full day's wear without smudging, and you would think it would be smudgeproof like Super Thick Lash or Professional. Check out the ingredients in this on ewg.org under Skindeep. They are pretty toxic compared to other mascaras.....definitely switching, and if that isn't motivation to switch I don't know what else is after seeing that report!
Mascara -Cover Girl - Cover Girl Professional Mascara (washable)

This used to be a great staple for me. However, the formula has been somewhat clumpy lately and not coating all my lashes well. I also did some research on ewg.org under Skin Deep, which is a website that researches cosmetic ingredients. Cover Girl mascaras are pretty toxic compared to other brands, so that was another factor in my discontinued use. Scary and sad since it is a decent mascara. But I would rather put something less toxic on my lashes!
I always come back to this one way or another, it is a good old standby and a great standard drug store mascara. It is also a cheaper version of Lancome mascaras if you are looking to save some $$$$ (Lancome, L'Oreal and Maybelline are all owned by the same company). I used to use this when it came in a maroon tube, years ago. They changed the formula since then but it still lengthens well with some volume and no smudging or smearing. No eye irritation and minimal flaking. I venture to try new mascaras and come back to this one if I don't like them. Staple in my makeup bag!
Shockingly, a Maybelline mascara that I actually like! I was very impressed with this and quite surprised at how awesome it actually made my lashes! I used to use Cover Girl mascaras, but found L'oreal and Maybelline to be better quality and less toxic (check out skindeep on ewg.org to find out how toxic the ingredients in your makeup are!) Anyway, this left my lashes full, separated, and no smudges or flakes - and I have oily lids which makes wearing mascara a challenge to begin with. I used to use Lash Expansion but sadly that was discontinued....any other Maybelline mascaras I did not have luck with, they either smeared, flaked, or burned....so far so good on this one! THIS IS NOT A SWIPE AND GO MASCARA.....for those of you claiming it is super clumpy, you do need to take time to work with this and if necessary, use a lash comb otherwise you can end up with a clumpy mess. Results are worth it, though! Not a smear or flake either, this is a new keeper for me! *EDIT* Still using this and still very happy! Lasts all day with no smears or clumps. A definite keeper in my makeup bag!! MUCH better than Lash Blast......
Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Almond & Shea Butter
piscesenchantress 5/19/2010 12:54:00 PM
GREAT PRODUCT!!! I have used Suave in the past, and have refrained from continuing to buy it because it always stripped and dried out my hair. However, this conditioner competes with some of the more expensive conditioners I have been using. I have long color treated hair that tangles easily. This conditioner detangled well and left my hair feeling very soft and managable, not dry or stripped. And it is so cheap! You can get a huge bottle of it at WalMart for a few dollars.
This is a GREAT plum/brown shadow that works for day or night. I've used it over the years mostly for night. Smooth application and awesome staying power! Great department store splurge!
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow Quad "Coffee Bean"

This is a great neutral quad that can go from day to night. Smooth application with very good staying power. Staple in my makeup bag!
Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Detangling Solution
piscesenchantress 4/29/2010 11:45:00 AM
Can be pricey, but highly recommended. I have long, color treated wavy hair, and this works wonders. It detangles well and does not leave my hair dried out after it is rinsed. Leaves hair soft and not weighed down after drying. Good staple in my shower!
This is a little pricey, but worth it. You can get it at chain salons for much cheaper, $15.00 for the big bottle when its on sale. Cleanses without over drying and smells great :)
Treatments -L'Oreal - Advanced Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate
piscesenchantress 4/29/2010 11:41:00 AM
I got this as a sample with my Excellence hair color. I had used Olay night creams on and off, and wasn't impressed becaues they left my skin greasy and tended to break me out. I tried this and was impressed! It sunk into the skin, wasn't greasy, and so far no break outs. My skin looked very refreshed the next morning after using it as well. I would recommend this one. *EDIT* I've been using this for a few weeks now, no breakouts and my skin looks great! I definitely will repurchase this one!
I've been using this to cleanse my oily skin since I was 13, and I am now 35 and still using it! My derm recommended it years ago, and it has worked awesome for my skin. Removes oil and makeup without over drying, and doesn't cause breakouts. Because it "melts" easily, I keep it in a soap dish in my freezer to get the most out of it so it doesn't dissolve quickly, especially in summer months.
The Carmel Latte shade is a nude shimmer staple in my makeup bag. I like that it feels good on, and isn't too slimy or drying, it's just right. Staying power is decent too. These are very comparable to Lancome lipsticks if you are looking to get similar quality without the price tag.
