Launch date: March 2010 Since when do new neighborhoods arise in New York? Hardly ever. After all, this city is already jam-packed with just about every kind of community imaginable. So when a new part of town appears, you can be sure we’re in for something completely different. Like our latest and most dynamic neighborhood, the High Line—which serves as the subject of Bond No. 9’s Spring 2010 eau de parfum. An improbable aerial walkway lined with concrete planks and railroad tracks, landscaped with meadows, wetlands, and wildflowers, the High Line hovers 30 feet above street level as it meanders along its route from the Meatpacking District to the former 34th Street rail yards—sometimes bridging its way through buildings along the way. Lately too it’s begun serving a daily parade of New Yorkers and visitors wanting both a respite from and a fresh take on our non-stop kaleidoscopic city. We at Bond No. 9, purveyors of New York neighborhood fragrances, have long been enamored of the High Line and its perfume possibilities. A scent that conveys a whiff of urban wildflowers and a hint of industrial grit, with bits of Tenth Avenue energy and Chelsea gallery style added to the mix—this intrigued us. So we set about creating Bond No. 9 High Line. The result is an androgynous floral-marine bouquet, contrasting the hardy flowers and greens that grow along the High Line’s route with intriguing notes from far away. The scent starts off with a prairie grazing weed—purple love grass-mixed with citrusy bergamot and zesty Indian rhubarb. The perfume’s floral heart is red-leaf rose, Lady Jane tulips, and grape hyacinth. Its lingering base notes combine bur oak—from the sheltering tree that thrives here—with imported sea moss, to evoke the Hudson River’s proximity, along with musk and teakwood, to remind us that Bond No. 9 High Line is a metro-perfume. The textured silkscreen surface design on the clear glass High Line bottle furthers the beauty-emerging-in-a-gritty-urban-industrial-environment narrative: In the foreground, hardy blades of tall grass and determined fuchsia tulip buds sprout from gunmetal grey rail tracks (affixed to the bottle as a metal plaque) displaying the name, High Line. As for the Bond No. 9 token logo, it appears raised in relief as a backdrop. From the Bond website, at last a bottle you can see thru and know when you are near the end, do not like the opaque bottles, you never know what you have, THis is another interesting fragrance, different from the others but delightful and the bottle is so pretty, and all the Bonds really last,. I love Union Square and the bottle is pretty too. The smell is amazing, I have several bottles of it and love it.Along with Nuits de noho, Success, West Side,Bryant Parik, Saks for Her,AstorPlace, these are my favorites, they really last till the next day, you still smell wonderful, I have a bottle and two ounces of it, love it,♥♥

The name Success is a Job in New York refers to Andy Warhol's first assignment as an illustrator for an article of the same name that appeared in Glamour magazine back in the 1950s. Come to think of it, the name reflects Andy Warhol's career. Born in Pittsburgh to immigrants from Central Europe, he studied art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology (which has since been absorbed into Carnegie-Mellon University). He then went to New York to make it as a fashion illustrator. From there, he became famous for his silkscreens, "The Factory" with its various hangers-on, and frequently X-rated movies. The fragrance Success is a Job in New York has the following notes: Top notes: coriander, cardamom, mandarin, bergamot Middle notes: jasmine, tuberose, rose, plum and pimento Base notes: vanilla, patchouli and amber. As much as I love Nuits this is amazing, I adore this fragrance, the bottle is neat with the dollar sign, but the fragrance is totally one of the best, it is an Andy Warhol one too.It lasts till the next day, I would buy several if I could, great job smells fantastic, right on the target of one of the best Bonds. ♥♥

I love everything Narcisol Rodiguez, I bought this unsniffed at Saks and LOVE it, I can't find it anywhere but it is like all the other Narciso's amazing, Gorgeous bottle kind of purpleish and smells wonderful, I don't know where it is listed but I love it.

Natori Natori EDP Spray/3.4 oz. EXCLUSIVELY AT SAKS. A floral oriental chypre, this fragrance opens with an effervescent bouquet of fresh rose petals enriched by deep, dark plum notes. The heart is an exotic and alluring hybrid of Ylang Ylang, Purple Peony and Night Blooming Jasmine. Slipping languidly over pulse points, Black Patchouli, Amber and a hint of Satin Musk complete this mysterious and tantalizing fragrance. 3.4 oz. This is amazinig and lasting, I got a sample from Saks when I got the new NR fragrance. Love at first smell, The bottle is really different and black and heavy. The fragrance lingers on till the next morning.I guess Saks is the only place you can get it, big favorite of the sas and me, love, love I guess it is the patchouli, amber and musk, how can they miss, I bet this will be a big favorite. I think they also are in fashion tho I never heard of them before, I already ordered a second bottle from the company direct, love it ♥♥

New to Tocca got Cleopatra and love it, then they came out with a new one with so many notes but it smells divine.It is edp Tocca Giulietta, many notes and it lingers. Tocca makes great fragrances, I am new to them but do like these two. Notes top Bulgarian rose, ylang ylang, green apple, and pink tulips, combine with lily of the valley, iris pallidea,vanilla, orchid, lilac and helitrope, and now my favorites which is why I love it base of cedarwood,musk, amber and sandalwood, how could you not love that, amazing, and a lot of notes,&yhearts;

I got samples of some of the Toccas. I never had any before, A wonderful gal told me about 20% off at Beauty Sak so I ordered Cleopatra, Very nice. Notes Orange, Jasmine Petals, Green Leaves, Cassis, Tuberose, White Peach, Patchouli and Dark Amber. I guess Patchouli and amber will get me every time. Nice fragance and pretty bottle.And with a discount good deal. ♥

Notes: Citrus Accord, Peony, Rose, Osmanthus Flower, Pink Pepper, Sandalwood. Style: I think Gucci makes a great product. I seem to like a lot of them. Had a sample of Gucci Flora and love it. It is fresh, delightful and just smells wonderful, Maybe it is the sandalwood, not sure but pretty bottle, amazing fragrance, love it ♥♥

Astor Place will arrive on the market on April 1st 2009 as a unisex edition with feminine tendencies – says founder of the house, Laurice Rahme. The nose behind the perfume is Laurent Le Guernec of IFF, who enriched top notes with mandarin and violet leaves, a heart blooms with freesia, red poppy buds and iris root, while base notes add accords of teak wood, musk and amber. This has to be one of the best Bonds, it smells amazing, the bottle is gorgeous, it sure will be a hit, I LOVE this fragrance, one of the best ♥♥
