Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV Lotion SPF 15

This product really does moisturize. I have oily skin, and I've had no problems with this. It smells great- it's a light scent. My skin instantly feels better with this on. I haven't had any problems with this and mineral foundation. It does leave my face a bit shiny so you'll probably want to wait a minute to let it soak in. The price of this is also amazing. It was 6 dollars at Target. The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 is because it doesn't have enough sunscreen in it. I feel like I got a couple of freckles ever since using this. I normally use a better sunscreen from La Roche-Posay, but my skin was becoming dry so I needed a moisturizer. Overall, this is a great buy, and you can't beat the price. Just wear sunscreen over it!
Moisturizers -Clinique - Redness Solutions Daily Relief Moisture Cream

I had an allergic reaction to something the oral surgeon put in my dry socket so my face was really red and slightly warm. Immediately after using this, my face felt a little better. It did take several days of nightly applying to see visibly reduced redness, but my skin did feel better right away. I still use it because the town I live in is really dry and windy, and it's winter here. Translation: not good for my skin. It's very moisturizing so you could use it during the winter. The only gripe I have is that it comes in a jar, which may not be the most sanitary, and the cost is a bit much, but it has lasted a few months now. Please be aware that this is a cream so it's thicker than a regular lotion!
Shampoo -Sexy Hair Concepts - Volumizing Dry Shampoo

This is the best dry shampoo spray I've used. I have black hair so it was imperative that it not leave white marks. This spray leaves no white marks! It smells fine, kind of like hairspray. The only downside is that it did leave my hair feeling a little dry & rough, like I used hairspray, but I'm not complaining. It's the only dry shampoo that smells good & works without leaving white marks. It is a little expensive too, but try to find a coupon for Ulta or find it on sale. Edit: I knocked it down a lippie for terrible packaging. I can still hear some product left in the can, but I can't get it to spray!! So frustrating.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen Mascara (waterproof)

I thought this mascara would be good, but I was wrong. I was just in need of a mascara at the time, and Ulta had a sale on this. It flakes like no other mascara. I can't stand it sometimes. It also clumps a lot so you have to brush it out. The only other mascara worse than this is the Revlon 3D one. I am giving this mascara 2 lippies because it did hold a curl very very well and when I can spend more time on my lashes I can get a nice voluminous look. Don't spend your money on this - there are better mascaras out there that can build volume without all the flakes!
This mascara is so-so. It does give nice thickness and length and doesn't clump easily. However, it doesn't hold a curl at all! I even tried curling my lashes after putting the mascara on (which is a no-no, I know) but still no luck. It also smudges at the end of the day, and I feel like it wears off too easily. Sure, it is very gentle on the eyes and easy to remove. I got some actually on my eyeballs, and there was absolutely no irritation. The fact that it just weighs my lashes down makes me look like I didn't put on any mascara at all.
I have this in Pageant Princess. It's a golden pink color in the tube, but it comes on sheer. It makes my naturally rosy lips a baby pink color. It feels nice on the lips and doesn't dry them out. It lasts a couple of hours and has a nice shimmery sheen to it. It's not super shiny, but I like it because it's a little more natural. Your lips can't always look like plastic. If you try hard enough, you can feel the shimmer, but it's barely noticeable- not enough to make your lips uncomfortable.
Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper [DISCONTINUED]
pearbeary18 9/8/2009 5:42:00 PM
Basically, this is just like Lash Blast but better. It clumps far less than Lash Blast does, making it easier to apply and reapply.
This mascara is okay. After I curl my lashes, I put this on, and it holds the curl all day. If I don't curl my lashes, this doesn't curl my straight lashes at all. It gives decent volume, but it flakes if you mess with it at all. When it comes to flaking and smudging, the formula is just not as good as the new mascaras out right now like Lash Blast.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Body Cream - Warm Vanilla Sugar
pearbeary18 9/8/2009 5:33:00 PM
Great vanilla scent. The cream is nice and thick enough to keep your skin moisturized all day.
This is a great eyeliner. The color is very pigmented and is a true black. Sometimes it's a little difficult to apply, but it helps if you warm it up in your hand so it's creamier and not so stiff. It does stay on all day. However, it does smudge a tiny bit, but I do have oily eyelids. Wearing powder underneath really helps with that. If you don't have oily eyelids, then it'll probably be fine. You do have to apply it correctly because it doesn't smudge very well.
Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Daily Treatment Conditioner
pearbeary18 9/8/2009 5:18:00 PM
This conditioner smells nice, like the shampoo. It has an apple smell to it. I think it does a fairly good job of smoothing my hair. I have thick hair that's prone to frizz. It makes my hair easy to comb through, but I don't know if it's super special. Buy it if you like the smell and need moderate conditioning. If you need something stronger, I'm not sure this is it.
Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
pearbeary18 8/16/2009 1:19:00 AM
This is a great eye makeup remover. It does the job without smelling weird or being too greasy or irritating to my eyes. Yes, I do think it does leave a slightly greasy feeling on my lids, but I usually wash my face after using this so it's not a big deal. You can also just wipe it off with a tissue like someone else said. I don't think you can find a waterproof makeup remover that is absolutely not greasy (maybe Bifacil is but I haven't used that in years) so I don't think you can complain. Only the non-waterproof makeup removers are not greasy in my experience. Great price.
Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15

This gives excellent sun protection. When I combine it with my mineral foundation, I have less freckles on my face. If you have an oily face like I do, I recommend using it in the winter because this is a cream. Everyone who complains about this being too heavy obviously didn't read the label that said "cream" right on the package. However, I still use it during the spring/summer and put powder on afterwards.
This is a great eyeliner. I have this in Brushed Pewter. It's very soft and creamy. It also has a smudger that allows you to smudge your line. I think it has a buildable intensity to it so you can make a soft or hard line on your eyes. Since I have oily lids, it does tend to fade after a few hours, but I don't mind reapplying. I would prefer if it was self-sharpening, but again I don't mind sharpening it.
This is a great product! I used to use L'oreal Pure Zone Astringent with 2% salicylic acid, and it worked great but was drying to my skin. However, I can't find it anymore so I tried this. This is amazing. I use it before I go to bed. It is not drying and doesn't irritate my skin. It does take a couple of minutes to dry, but that's the least of my worries. I didn't want to use a toner/astringent with alcohol in it, and I'm glad I found this. Give this a try! I use 10% benzoyl peroxide gel only on spots in the morning and apply sunscreen. At night I use this all over my face. Even in the winter I sometimes don't need to use a night cream because this is hydrating enough. Some of these reviews are from people who only use this and say it doesn't work- you need to use benzoyl peroxide with this. The bp kills bacteria while the salicyclic acid exfoliates so you need both in order to treat mild acne. For moderate to severe acne, you need to see a dermatologist.
