Lipstick -MAC - Frenzy Lipstick

I bought Plastique and Frenzy (and Sequin and Cherish)! recently. I actually prefer Plastique, I find Frenzy very pretty and long lasting but quite gold? To me it is not as subtle as Plastique, I'd be more likely to wear frenzy at night instead. There are so similar you could buy one and not both like greedy me! I am South Indian and take LSF 6.5

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - 5 Colour Eyeshadow - Sunset Cafe

Hi there, I bought this and then read the reviews! I wasn't sure whether to try it but couldn't resist. I really like this. True it is sheer - the colour pay off isn't great. I find that it looks like a sunset on my eyes and it a real holiday palette. It has day time colour then a nice gentle smoky night look. I am pleased especially when used with UDPP, it lasts all day without me touching it up. Edit - it was too sheer and I gave it away...

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Brownie Shimmerbrick Shimmer Brick Compact

Hmmm, this is indeed a lovely product. I went on a date recently and the bloke said how "glowy" I looked (that was a compliment). It's great that it is pigmented even on my mid olive skin. Its expensive but will last for years. This or forget me not in stila convertable colour is breaking me out slightly. I am not sure yet, eek! The mirror/compact I don't like purely because other compacts and powders can lay flat when opened and this one doesn't. This really really annoys me!!

Lipstick -MAC - Half-N-Half

Oh dear, so I made the fatal mistake of not trying this lipstick on. There was some great advice for darker skinned ladies in MUA - try before you buy, but I didn't because I was just so greedy! I have mid olive skin and this lipstick just looks awful on me. It was a pale greyish coffee colour. I can't remember much because I have given it away. Lovely formulation though. I bought Underplay on Ebay (greedy again) and I have a feeling that wont be right either, boo hoo. Oh my God - I realised i gave this away but then bought it again! This time I really like it!!!

Blush -Stila - forget me not convertible color

Really pleased with this. I am a blusher fanatic (I am waiting for Bobbi Browns Shimmerbrick in Brownie... can't wait)! Anyway back to Stila. I bought this for £8 which was a good price, not sure whether I would have bought it for full price initally. COLOUR:- Its a lovely brownie rosy colour on me and the best thing about it is that it stays on! Powder blush tends to fade or I rub it off during the day but this stuff lingers. It's not great as a lip colour as its too drying but with balm or gloss would be nice. Pleased with it and is now a staple in my make up bag. The only thing I am concerned about is breakouts but so far so good. Will update it it makes me spotty - oh no! Hope not... This or Brownie shimmerbrick is breaking me out slightly - I don't know which one yet...oh no

Blush -Aveda - Petal Essence Face Accents w/ Blending Brush - Ruby Vapor
rated 3 of 5

Hmm, so I bought this after falling in love with the concept.I have just tried it today and have to say I am a wee bit disappointed. The colours are goldy/pinky/plummy but the overall colour for me becomes a plum. I was expecting more of a pink, but then again it is called ruby vapor!? It is pigmented and I think you would have too play around with this rather then slap on. I found the brush fine, it was soft and did the job. May update later because certain blush colours go orange on me but so far staying power looks good. It reminds me of a coup de poudre 745 ( plummy). And being a Aveda virgin I didn't realise there was no compact! Great for environment but sorry, what a con (£10). Stuck now.

Lipstick -MAC - Spirit

South Asian, Olive/tan. Wow, this is my first review! So I stumbled on this lipstick whilst browsing in MAC. I thought I would try it out at the worst time - for me in the morning. It didn't look great first thing but as it settled I could see that it is a peachy brown colour. It is just the slightly bit light for me as my lips have alot of pigment in them. I use Clinique's lipblush pencil with it and its better. Actually I have changed my mind, its a fantastic colour and would buy again. Cons- it's a wee bit drying...
