Cleansers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Cream Cleanser Oil Free
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:55:00 AM
This is a great gentle morning cleanser for my combo acne-prone skin. It spreads easily and rinses clean, leaving my skin film-free and soft. The scent is nice too, more on the clean side than fruity. Will repurchase for sure.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Medium to Long Curly-Wavy
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:53:00 AM
This is hands down the best drugstore conditioner I have ever used. It is thick and creamy, full of moisturizing ingredients and no coating silicones. The smell is strong and perfumey, but it makes my hair so soft that I'm giving this a 5 anyways. Will definitely repurchase. It might be too heavy for finer hair types though, I have very thick and dry hair.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - Nutri-Gloss medium to long hair curly or wavy
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:52:00 AM
This is my favorite drugstore shampoo. It's fairly gentle and cleans well with a nice amount of lather. The perfumey smell is very strong though, that's my only complaint. Will repurchase, it's definitely worth the $4. It might be too heavy for finer hair types though, I have very thick and dry hair.

Styling Products -ISO - Bouncy Creme
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:50:00 AM
Love this creme! It does a great job of enhancing curl and evening out the curl pattern in my thick, dry, 3a/b hair. I use a bit of gel over it for hold and the results are fantastic. This stuff is pretty cheap too, compared to many other non-drugstore curl enhancers. Make sure to sniff before you buy though, it's rather perfumey. I wish it came in a squeeze bottle instead of pump so I could travel with it, but this stuff is worth decanting into a jar for trips.

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - ExpressStyle Round Trip Liquid Curl Definer
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:48:00 AM
HG curl enhancer. This fresh-smelling, gel-like serum really helps to boost my curl (3a/b, very thick, dry hair). It offers light hold, but I like to use a bit of gel over it. I love how its thin consistency makes it easy to distribute through hair. I haven't had any problems with it drying my hair out, and I use it regularly - about 3-4 uses per week, 8ish pumps per use, and one bottle has lasted more than 4 months! I have a backup bottle of this and will continue to repurchase.

Cleansers -Lumene - Lift Touch Rejuvenating Cleansing Oil
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:42:00 AM
Love this! It is so gentle and rinses clean. Removes makeup too. The fragrance is light and doesn't linger. Pump dribbles a bit, but it is an oil after all, and I love this too much to care! My sensitive, acne-prone skin is very grateful for Lumene :-) PS - This started burning around my eyes after a month or so, but I still love it for removing my face sunscreen!

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Creme of Nature Shampoo Regular Formula
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:41:00 AM
This is a great daily shampoo. Leaves my dry, color-treated hair soft and not tangled. It contains no sulfates and is very gentle. Will buy this again - it's such a bargain too! Sniff before buying, though - it has a strong & distinctive scent. Kind of fake herbal citrus. Doesn't linger on me, fortunately!

Skincare - Body -Mary Kay - Private Spa Collection Satin Hands Pampering Set
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:40:00 AM
This set (new 3-piece version) is pricey, but is a great treat for yourself to have around. The scrub has exactly the right amount of grit to exfoliate without irritating and it smells like peach. The extra emollient night cream is very thick and waxy to protect your hands overnight. The regular hand cream is light, but does a good job of moisturizing and absorbs quicker than any other I've used. I use other hand lotions too, because this is too expensive to use exclusively, but I really enjoy it! PS - I don't follow the instructions for this set. They tell you to use the night cream then scrub then lotion. That seems like a waste of night cream to me, as you just wash it right off. I use the scrub first followed by either the cream or the lotion.

Shampoo -Jessicurl - Hair Cleansing Cream
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:39:00 AM
This is gentle but effective, and I only have to use a teensy bit. Hair feels good afterwards before conditioner, too. A little pricey though. Just FYI - this is not a "cream" at all, it is a thin liquid & it lathers.

Conditioner -Jessicurl - Jessicurl - Too Shea Extra Moisturizing Conditioner
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:39:00 AM
I have mixed feelings about this conditioner. It works well and is silicone-free. However, the consistency is a little thin, jar is cumbersome, I'm going through it quickly and it wasn't cheap. I could buy an entire liter of Regis Olive Oil conditioner for the price of 8oz of this, so no repurchase here.

Styling Products -Jessicurl - Confident Coils Styling Solution
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:38:00 AM
This is a cream styler used for hold after RR. I like this one as well. The consistency is smooth and it provides moderate hold, and it's thin enough that I don't disrupt curl pattern while applying. Jessica at Jessicurl says to use half as much of this compared to RR, but I use them in equal amounts. It doesn't get crunchy as it dries, which is a huge plus. I was concerned there wasn't enough hold, but I walked home in light rain yesterday & hair held up. Would repurchase during another shipping special.

Styling Products -Jessicurl - Rockin Ringlets
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:38:00 AM
This is the curl enhancer from the line. The consistency is disgusting - alot like raw egg. I think it works really well though! It is thin and easy to get through your hair and it really seemed to enhance the curl in the bottom layers of my new short haircut. It's not too cheap, but I use very little (about 3 quarter sized puddles, in contrast with the entire handful of gel I used to use). Would repurchase during another shipping special.

Styling Products -Jessicurl - Awe Inspiraling Spray
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:37:00 AM
This is a nice refresher. It makes end-of-the day hair lay a little better, especially if it has frizzed up. This isn't an essential product though, as you can easily reactivate the RR & CC in the hair by applying a little water. The bottle will last a very long time though, and it's a nice convenience. I would repurchase, but in a scented version (I think that would be more refreshing, I got unscented).

Cleansers -Lumene - Moisture Dream Revitalizing Cream Cleanser
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:36:00 AM
The performance of this product is ok, but it's not truly a cream cleanser because it foams. It's kind of difficult to get it to foam though, and it feels kind of slimy. This is a weird hybrid between cream and foam, I guess. Also, I'm usually not picky about scents, but the fake berry scent in this one is a little too much for me. The bottle makes it difficult to get the last bit of the product out. I'll use this up, but not a repurchase for me.

Cleansers -Lumene - Sensitive Touch Cleansing Emulsion
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:35:00 AM
Love this! It's a gentle, non-foaming creamy cleanser that leaves my sensitive combo skin clean and soft. I don't think it would remove makeup; I use it as a morning cleanser when my skin is dry/angry/over-exfoliated. Package is sturdy and doesn't cause you to waste any product. At about $9-10, this is a little pricier than other cleansers I buy, but I'd repurchase anyway.
