I needed a good concealer for my blemishes and under eye area. I got nc 35 which is the usual color I wear. This does cover blemishes very well but only lasted 4 hrs and it disappears. It's too drying for under eyes. I am currently using maybelline's pure concealer in medium for my blemishes and laura mercier's secret concealer for my circles and they work well. I think clinique's line smoothing concealer and sonia kushuk's hidden agenda concealer pallete is better than this.
I got this for free from ulta for spending a certain amount in 6 months. So I have medium brown hair with reddish undertone. Brunette is a great match. The pencil and brown brow gel enhances my eyes and frames my face nicely. Does it look natural? not really but I have a full face of makeup on and it looks great. For softer brow days I use my mary kay brow pencil in arburn and clear brow gel on top or my smash box brow powder and wax. This is a good buy and will work for someone with med- dark brown hair.
This drug store shampoo blew me away. I like it better than biolage, matrix sleek look, and redken all soft. It smells great and my hair feels soft and looks shiney. I use whatever conditioner I have like joico's k pak or garnier's triple nutrition. I will probably get aussie's moist conditioner next. I dye my hair every 2 months. I blow dry and flat iron it everyday and my hair is long and fine. Yes I wash my hair everyday so this is gentle enough and is marketed color safe. I strayed away and used tigi's dumb blonde shampoo and my hair felt like straws. After that I appreciate this product more. I went for a hair cut today after I dyed it myself this morning and the owner of the salon said I had such healthy hair. hehe : )
I am so glad I found this! I have been using proactiv's oil free spf 15 moisturizer for years bc I have combo-oily sensative skin and could never find a moisturizer that was light, had spf, and didn't look greasy. This is cheaper than proactiv and feels and acts the same. It dries fast and feels clean without any white residues. I may need to reapply in the winter bc my face gets drier when its 40 degrees outside. For now in 105 degree weather works fine. I coulnd't find this at target and a couple of groceries stores but I did find it at Ulta and Cvs. Oh I forgot, the pkaging really sucks. I had to bang this on the counter 20 times so hard that I thought it would shatter but finallly both sides came out at once. I pumped it so much bc one side wasn't working and wasted a lot of product but it was worth it.

I am 26 yrs old with comb-oily zit prone skin. No wrinkles only lines on my forehead. I use this at night and wake up with plump, clear, healthier looking skin. I swear this clear my breakouts helping it heal faster. This is a keeper!
Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

I find myself picking this up everyday instead of my shiseido's curler. This works great for my almond shape eyes. My co-worker has long lashes, big eyes and she curls this by increments. 3 curls from left, mid, to right and her lashes looked great. I have smaller almond asian eyes and one curl makes all my lashes stick up. However, my sis-in-law has round eyes with short lashes and she didn't like it. She's sticking to her Shu uemura. I guess with the way this curler is made, it would be hard to pick up short lashes. Oh well for a buck you can't really complain.
I rotate between this, my biggest lashes, rimmel to the maxx, and super thick lash. I find myself picking this up more because it's not as dry as my biggest lashes. I get more fuller lashes than super thick lash. This does not flake like rimmel's. My blackest lashes doesn't smudge and removes easily with neutrogena's cleanser makeup remover in one (blue bottle). All mascaras looked great on top of l'oreal's double extend lash boosting primer( gold and blue tube w/ the bad mascara attached). I can't find a HG mascara since max factor is no longer sold here in the U.S. so this will do for now.
Concealers -Revlon - Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer (New) [DISCONTINUED]

I have yellowo-peachy light-med skin tone and I have this in medium. It is rather lighter than I expected but works well undereye. It brightens the eye area but doesn't have great coverage for my red/purple circles. This does a good job covering old blemishes. Now i am using this on top of my LM concealer. I prob won't buy this again bc there's always newer and improved products launching out.
I have thin under eye skin and little red/purple veins w/ a a little hollowness. I use estee lauder's advance eye cr and rotate w/ ulta's dark circle eye cream. I have my eye cream on, next a little dab of l'oreal's studio secrets magic perfecting base around the eye area for a smooth long lasting effect. Then LM concealer w/ a brush and pat it in. I'm an nc 35 and I use pot #3. This is peachy and I use this as a corrector then I put a litte of revlon's age defying concealer spf 25 in medium on top. I ran out of LM secret brightening powder but found ModelCo's illuminizing powder for the fraction of the cost and set it with that. This prevents creasing. It sounds like a lot of steps but takes less than a min and I get med-full coverage that last all day. I like this concealer better than clinique's ling smoothing, sonia kushak concealer palette, mary kay concealer, and temptu under eye.
I am always looking for a matte powder foundation that doesn't give me little bumps. I recently went back to laura mercier's pf for the 3rd time because I love the finish it gives me but it gives me black and white heads overtime. I am glad I found this! I'm nc 35 in mac and got this in honey beige bc i didn't get much of tan this summer but I think I can pull off getting the warm honey. This goes on matte with light -mod coverage and can accentuate dry skin. After an hr it seems to melt in and look natural. I only need to blot and reapply once by midday. Sometimes I dust this over to set my almay skin clearing liquid foundation and together I get a full but natural looking coverage. I do have combo-oily, sensative skin and this looks great! Those little bumps and a couple of pimples I had cleared up so i know this won't break me out. spf 15 can make you look white in photos. I do like this better than Benefit's Hello Flawless, Mark powder buff, nars, sephora's mattifying pf, and ysl matt touch long lasting spf 20 pf. Update- I found that using a velour puff rolling it or pressing it on gives better coverage than a kabuki brush or sponge. Dusting with a face brush or applying with a foundation brush looks better when setting with a liquid foundation. It doesn't cover imperfections so do conceal around the eyes, nose, and any blemishes beforehand. Do not use this powder wet it does not give more coverage and make your face feel tight and itchy. The reason I picked up this powder was bc it doesn't contain parabens. If you are a big fan of mineral makeup, this might not be for u bc it's not ideal for dry skin and doesn't give u that glow that u get from mica. I think this suits combo- oily skin. Color selection is limited. If you are darker than nc 40 this might not be for you. This powder is more matte- natural. This is $32 and u can find it at ulta or sephora. Ingredients:Talc, Silica, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Dimethicone, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Powder, Octyldodecyl Stearate, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol. (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). Edit** It's been a year now and I am still using this alone and at times on top of my liquid foundation. I got my sister and cousin using this. Everyone thinks the compact is too cute!
Powder -Merle Norman - Luxiva Ultra Powder Foundation
oohollyoo 6/14/2009 1:45:00 PM
this is not a bad powder foundation. i am an nc 35 w/ combo skin and the golden looked great on me. i just couldn't stand the strong perfume smell and theh ugly bathroom design compact. honestly the maybelline purestay powder foundation is comparable to this w/o the smell and price. they both have the same light-med coverage and matte finish. nude in maybelline is a close match but i am wearing maybelline's golden for the summer.
Powder -Sonia Kashuk - dual coverage powder foundation

very poor color selection. i wore #9 and it was way too light for light-med skin. there was no coverage. i looked chalky.
Crème -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Compact Makeup
oohollyoo 6/14/2009 1:19:00 PM
the w4 looked darker in compact than applied. i have light-med nc 35 skintone and this was too light for me. this is creamy, kinda dewy, emphasized flaws and looked fake on.
this oxidized and had no oil control. i looked orange and shiney : (
the color range is awful. too pinky or orange. this makeup although applied lightly still felt heavy on and made me greasy after a couple of hrs. it also emphasized my little bumps and the crease around my nose. looks pastey. even better..... more like even worse!
