Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Concealer

This is my go-to concealer. Loreal offers a large variety of colors (in warm, neutral, and cool tones) to choose from, so it was very easy finding a perfect match for me skin. Also, the range of tonal options allows you to pick different concealers for different concealer purposes (e.g. under eye circles vs. pimples). I really like this concealer. It is very pigmented, which is great because I have very dark acne scars and under eye circles. Also, the applicator brush is very convenient. In the morning, I just sweep it under my eyes and blend it out. The product is very blendable, and you don't even need a concealer brush! The only thing I would improve is the packaging. The concealer gets everywhere on the bottle, even if you're careful about not rubbing the brush accidentally on the rim of the bottle. It's also a hassle to wipe down the bottle. Edit: I've found that the color for the True Match foundation does not correspond well with the True Match concealer. I bought a foundation with the same tone and color as my concealer (which is perfect on my skin), but the foundation was about two shades too light. My recommendation is not to rely on the color labeling but just do the old fashion method of checking your wrist.
Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
ohgeebus 1/14/2012 7:11:00 PM
I use this product everyday with my makeup. My skin is an oil field after a couple hours normally, and this spray keeps the oil away for a little longer. It's not a perfect mattifier since I still get oily a few hours later, but it keeps my makeup from sliding around my face.
I really like this mascara. It's really black and totally buildable. It suits my long lashes, and, if you can believe it, it makes my lashes even longer then they are. It doesn't hold a lash curl as long as I'd like, but I love the mascara wand. It gets each lash coated equally and it doesn't clump either.
I like the Pomegranate color better than Wild Rose, but I still love this color a lot. It's a little dark for everyday wear, but if I'm going out at night for a casual night with friends, I like to put this on my lips since it's moisturizing without being too heavy.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. This particular shade of lip butter is part of my daily beauty regimen. Pomegranate is a nice coral color. The pigment is nice and thick, and the shea makes my lips so soft and supple. Every morning, I just swipe this over my lips in a couple of seconds. This is a really good quick lip color for those mornings you're in a rush to leave the house. I like...no, I LOVE the Korres line. The only thing I wish could've been improved is the packaging. The packaging makes the color hard to get out without it getting under your nails, especially when you're trying to get at the very last bit of product at the bottom of the tub.
Tinted Moisturizer -E.L.F. - Studio Tinted Moisturizer

In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have bought this product in the first place. I have acne prone skin, and my skin is checkered with acne scars so I need something light with enough coverage. Let's just say that I did a test run with this moisturizer by covering half of my face with the product and leaving the other half without any product whatsoever. There was no difference at all! I could feel the moisturizing effects of the moisturizer, but coverage wise, you could see no difference between the product side and the clean side of my face. I wont buy this again.
Update: 1/29/12 I decided to downgrade this product from 3 stars to 2 stars because I realized how streaky and drying this formula was for me after wearing it all day. You have to layer several coats of it onto your lips to get an even finish, and even then, the product makes my lips flaky and streaky. Furthermore, it tastes disgusting! Don't lick your lips while wearing it! ======= Well, the first thing I'd like to say is that ELF needs to fix its color swatches. The online colors look NOTHING like the actual lip color. I got praline (which looked like a reddish pink) and coral (which looked like a baby pink). Well in reality, praline is more like brown and coral is...Disney princess pink. I probably won't ever use coral, although it isn't so bad because it only cost a couple dollars to buy. I can use praline if I color it with a thinner red lip tint because the color then looks like the original color swatch I wanted. I like the matte finish. What's promised is what's given in this case. However, if you have chapped or flaking lips, I wouldn't recommend using this because the color will just emphasize any loose skin flakes or cracked lip lines.
Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner

I like this eyeliner a lot. This was my first ever liquid eyeliner, and I got this from my local Sephora. It has a really small ink pot, so I thought there wouldn't be a lot of liner, especially for the price (which isn't cheap). However, I found that the color is really black, so you don't need to keep redipping for a nice dark color. Also, as a beginner with liquid eyeliner, the thin brush was really easy to use. I only had to use it a couple times to figure out how to maneuver my hand to get a nice thin line. The only bad thing I'd have to say is that the product doesn't last as long as I'd like. It starts to flake off around 5 hours...so I wouldn't recommend this for all day use (maybe if you're going to a party or something). But still...for an eyeliner just to flake off and not create panda eyes on my face is a blessing in and of itself.
Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer

This is a pretty good moisturizer for oily skinned people like me. It definitely doesn't add any oil to my skin, and it does its job at keeping my skin soft. However, it definitely doesn't help with my acne breakouts. It doesn't prevent nor reduce any of my acne, which I get a lot because I have acne prone skin as well. I would buy this product again since it's cheap and works as a moisturizer. But it won't help with your acne.
I don't think I've ever had such a bad experience with a toner before. I had previously bought the sensitive skin toner from Clean & Clear (the blue one), and it worked alright. It definitely got rid of the leftover dirt that my cleanser missed, but it never really helped with the acne or the excess oil that would eventually appear within the next few hours. Instead of buying another bottle of the blue toner, I went ahead and bought this pink bottle because I thought I might be needing a stronger solution. When I first tried it, the toner burned so badly. But I endured through the pain, thinking that I would eventually get used to it. But the alcohol was so strong--and I don't think I have sensitive skin--that I couldn't get used to the burning even after two weeks of using this product. THEN, I started breaking out. At first, I just got red bumps. I thought it might've been a regularly scheduled breakout or something, but then the redness turned into several tiny whiteheads in places I'd never gotten them before! I stopped using the toner, and what do you know? The whiteheads stopped popping up all over my face. I'm never buying this product again.
I love this product! I have really oily skin, and other foundations tend to slide off my face by the day's end, no matter how much powder I use to set it. I came across this foundation in CVS, and I decided to buy it on whim because I was in need for a long lasting foundation. Not only does it fit my skin tone perfectly but it lasts the entire day with only a little touchup needed around my T-zone at lunch. The only complaint I have is that the bottle is a little awkward. I can't really pour the foundation out too well, and then it gets all over my fingers. I've seen better packaging...
Eyeliner -Sephora - Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner
ohgeebus 11/26/2011 8:50:00 PM
I have oily skin, and I bought the black and brown eyeliners from Sephora thinking that they would last because they are "waterproof." Because of my skin type, normal eyeliners tend to smudge, leaving me with embarrassing panda eyes for the day. So, yeah, these eyeliners are waterproof. If you apply them and then step into the shower, they take forever to rub off if you don't have any makeup remover with you. But for oily skinned girls like me, if you try to apply them to your eyes, they'll smudge like hell within the first few hours. The liner stays on longer if you only apply to your upper lid, but it still smudges into the crease for me.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power - Cream Wash
ohgeebus 11/26/2011 8:45:00 PM
The cream wash worked okay for my acne. I have really acne-prone, oily skin, and nothing I've done really helps. However, after I started using this product, my skin did improve somewhat. I noticed fewer breakouts and my skin felt softer. However, it definitely did not get rid of my acne, and my skin is still blotchy on my bad days. For the price I paid, this is effective...however, this is far from a miracle product.
