Powder -NYX - Stay Matte but not Flat Powder Foundation

I love this powder. It does just what it says, gives you that porcelain doll finish without being flat. I use my normal liquid foundation and lightly apply this over it with a soft powder puff and my foundation stays all day, never creases and I never look oily or flat. I have dry skin on my cheeks and get a tiny bit oily in the T-zone as the day goes on. It never feels or looks heavy even over my liquid foundation. My face looks the same after a long 12 hour shift as a nurse as it did when I put it on in the morning. By itself it gives pretty good coverage as well. I bought this to have in my little emergency kit I keep in my locker at work for those days when I sleep in too late to apply makeup at home for a better than nothing quick fix. But this product surprised me and I have been using it all the time.

I stumbled across this at Sally's the other day on clearance. OMG so divine. i bought the color corsica and it is a beautiful bubble gum pink. They taste wonderful and look so pretty. So much like Lancome's juicy tubes, but a steal at $3.

This product does give a natural dewy finish and it has buildable coverage. The color does blend well into my skin and evens it out well and it lasts well throughout the day without becoming ashy or creasing. But for me, it is just a little too glowy. I prefer a little more matte finish. I have found that it works great and stays all day if i apply a shear dusting of NYX High Def matte not flat powder foundation over it. I tried using my MAC mineralized skin finish over it and that was a bomb.

This goes on beautifully and makes my skin look flawless using the awesome brush that goes with it. It even looks great applied with my fingers or a sponge. My problem is that it just doesn't have the staying power it promises. I am a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts. I don't have time to touch up. If you can reapply a little midday, this would be a great foundation because I love the texture and beautiful natural finish it gives my skin. It doesn't crease and accentuate my fine lines like other long wear foundations do.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment

I have fallen in love with wet 'n' wild eyeshadows thanks to the beauty gurus on youtube. They are dirt cheap, super pigmented, easy to blend, and last all day over my ud primer potion. They had them on sale at walgreens buy one get one half off last week and I stocked up. They make some really pretty colors too. The colors in this pallette remind me a lot of some neutral mac ones that I have used. Kudos for making a great product at an unbeatable price!

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream

This works great on my combination skin that tends to be dry on my cheeks and slightly oily in the t zone as the day goes on. It gives just a very sheer coverage but I believe it does what it claims and blurs my imperfections rather that covering them. I like it for my lazy days off instead of a heavy foundation. I have also found that it works well under my foundation as a primer.

I love this for my baby fine hair. I have always washed my hair every day and still do, but this makes my hair really clean and conditioned. I have a funky short hairdo and I use a lot of hair products. This stuff dissolves it instantly. I have naturally dark blonde hair that I dye red. I used to have to color it every couple of weeks because red fades so fast. Now I only have to do it every 4-6 weeks which is amazing!! I also only use about a fourth of what the bottle says to. FYI I tried the sweet almond mint and it worked great and gave me more body than this one but it made my head itch like crazy a few days after I started using it.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Greed

I love love love this primer. It makes all of my eye shadow look fabulous, glide one easily, and it stays all day. I even have to use my waterproof makeup remover to get the shadow off at the end of the day. I wasn't so impressed with the original one but I decided to try this one in ulta one day and I am glad I did!! I was using MAC's paint pot in painterly as a base but it was making all my eye shadow color just look muddy.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black

I bought this on the advice of a friend who has had a terrible time being able to apply eyeliner. She felt this was the best she had ever tried and loved the brush that came with it. I have to agree that it goes on easily and that little brush is actually a gem. The color is a highly pigmented black that gives a much better appearance that MAC's fluid line in black track. The only problem is that by the end of the day it is smeared at the corners of my eyes, which the MAC one never does. But for the price, especially at buy one get one 1/2 off, you can't beat this eyeliner. Hands down the best drugstore eyeliner!!!

Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Conditioner

I have very fine, straight, usually flat hair. I have spent big $$$$ in search of conditioner that did not weigh my hair down and still made it manageable with enough conditioning effect for my color-treated hair. All have failed to live up to their claims until I decided to give this a try. It is very light-weight, makes my hair shiny and healthy looking, and gives it great bounce, where usually i feel like my hair is glued to my head. Love it, paired with the shampoo. I also bought the mouse and hairspray in this line today so I'll post a review when i see how these have worked.

I have the straightest flatest down-like soft hair that usually feels like it is sticking to my head. I have spent thousands of dollars searching for the perfect shampoo for my hair. Finally, I have found my treasure!! I love the scent of this shampoo and it's dirt cheap compared to the salon brands I have wasted money on. This stuff makes my hair feel fluffy and not stuck to my head. For the first time in a long time, my hair feels bouncy. Great job clairol!!

This is an awesome mouse. i use it on my layered fine straight bob hair to give it body and lift, which it does without fail. My hubbie uses it to spike up his fine blond hair. Can't beat it.

Styling Products -Aveda - Control Paste

This is a non-greasy, non-sticky, paste that gives me the perfect texture and pieceiness for my fine straight layered bob. Takes away that overdone too perfect look without weighing my hair down. My last hair style was a cute flippy do and it worked great to plip out the ends of my hair without being crunchy or greasy.
