Cleansers -Mario Badescu - Botanical Facial Gel

I love this cleanser a lot. At first, I wasn't fond of the sample I had received from MB's questionnaire but I ended up liking it and purchased it at my local Ulta. It has a great price point, not too expensive nor cheap. It really cleans my skin thoroughly. It takes off the left over make up that my face wipes didn't pick up. Its very gentle for my skin. I have oily, acne prone skin and this doesn't aggravate it in the least. Its a non-foaming gel consistency which I have grown to like over time. Sometimes I use this to take off my eye make up when I don't feel like going through the whole process of removing it. I find its easier to apply to the skin when your face is dry. Then massage it in your skin and rinse off. I will continue to purchase this as long as they make it.

*WHITE HANDLE* So, I'm usually pretty fond of SK's brushes. I own quite a bit of them. This one sheds quite a bit when you wash it and use it on yourself. Its a soft brush though. I'm planning on buying the black one, so I hope to not experience that. I will update my review if I do so.

I'm glad I didn't splurge on MUFE's concealer. I'm much happier with this one. I can buy multiple ones for the price I would pay for 1 MUFE FC ($30). This is sold at Walmart for $6. I bought it in Light and Medium. Light is too light on me, so I gave it to my mom who is fair and she likes it a lot. She likes it better than her Clinique concealer. Again, this one is a lot cheaper. The formula is very smooth. Its a thick concealer, however, it doesn't feel heavy on my skin. It lasts all day. I use the Medium one (I'm about NC25ish) and it works well for me. I like it for my under eye because it doesn't look terrible on me. I have oily skin and it works well. I definitely recommend checking this out. If it doesn't work out for you, you can always take it back at Walmart for a refund!

Pretty color, but it rubs off so easily. Smooth formulation, but zero staying power.

This is a must have for eyebrows. Its $1.99 at Target. I actually bend mine to be able to shape my eyebrows easier. Sometimes I use it to unclump my lashes.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Sorbet Round Lip Gloss

Very natural, light milky pink color with fine rainbow glitter. I think of this as a dupe to Buxom's Zena, which is a QVC exclusive in a set. This gloss is $1.50 locally. I actually prefer this one to Zena simply because I don't feel the gritty glitter texture like I do with Zena. They formula is very smooth, not sticky what soever.

This is such a favorite of mine. I wore this all summer last year with S&G body butter and people would always complement my perfume. It's pretty cheap (the tiny bottle is $15!) and travel friendly. I will purchase again!

Eye Primer -NARS - Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
nubletta 5/27/2011 7:46:00 PM
For the longest time, I thought UDPP kept me crease free. I realized YEARS later that this wasn't true. Actually, I figured this out when I bought the new repackaged version of it. I took it back and exchanged it for this guy. I was iffy about this because of the price. $24 for an eye primer? I went for the plunge and I'm SO glad I did. I'm slowly starting to get into NARS products. The quality is definitely there. This eye primer is AMAZING. It keeps my completely crease free for 8+ hours. I have extremely oily eyelids so its perfect as I have a long, long day and don't have the time to touch up my eyeshadow. The formula is a white-clearish color. It doesn't leave a color behind. I find that I have to rub it in as soon as I apply it so the glob doesn't dry and look chalky when I go in to smooth it onto my eye area. I did find it a little hard to blend using this the first few times of using it. Eventually, it became easy. I don't know if I'm nuts thinking it was harder to blend. Its a completely different formula from UDPP. I really recommend trying this out. Especially those with greasy lids like me. Your eyeshadow artwork will hold up for a very long time! Perfect for summer coming up. Although this is expensive, it will last you a while so the price ends up evening itself out. Its always a good idea to stock up during sales, too. This is HG in my book.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Assorted Brushes

Sonia Kashuk brushes will always be a favorite. The best part is that they are very affordable. Most of my brushes are SK. I only own one MAC brush (217) because these do the job for me. I will repurchase these guys forever and ever. They are of high quality. I still have many brushes that I've had for years, and they all work perfectly.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel
nubletta 5/26/2011 3:47:00 AM
I LOVE THIS!!! I actually thought Salux wasn't sold locally, so I bought mine at Target! Its made by The Bathery and cost me about $2.39. They have it in gorgeous bold colors like turquoise, lime green, and hot pink. I ended up finding Salux locally for $3.50 so I might try that one out and see if I like it better. Although I'm really happy with my Target one. This makes my skin so incredibly soft. Who needs exfoliators anymore with this?! I also enjoy using this under my arm pit (teehee) and its been lightening it up since it exfoliates it really well. This has also made my elbows really smooth to touch. It makes the soap lather extremely well. I'm determined to get my family hooked on this. Do your body a favor and BUY THIS!

Eyeliner -NYX - studio liquid eye liner/extreme blue
nubletta 5/26/2011 3:29:00 AM
I love this liquid eyeliner. I've always eyeballed Urban Decay's liquid eyeliner in Radium but never actually bought it. Simply because of the price tag and the fact that its not exactly an everyday eyeliner. Although for me, I'd sport it every day but anyways! This color is EXTREMELY similar, if not dead on close. Extreme Blue is a gorgeous cobalt, electric blue. True to color. The pigmentation on this is good. I bought this locally for $4 so I don't mind much if a product doesn't end up working out for me. BUT it thankfully did! Being a broke college student, this definitely fits my budget. The application is pretty easy, a little wet. It takes about a minute or so for the formula to dry. It lasted a long time on me, and I have oily eyelids. I will say that I was wearing eyeshadow and NARS Smudgeproof e/s primer so I'm not sure how this would work on bare eyelids. If you're intrigued by this color, please do go ahead and buy it. Its very vibrant. It's also great to use to make neutral eyeshadow pop!

Misc Beauty Tools -Sally Hansen - The now brow perfect brow arch kit
nubletta 5/22/2011 3:51:00 AM
This product is heavenly for keeping your eyebrows in check. I lost my brow scissor and decided to shop for a new one. I found this gem at Target for $7.99. It includes an angled scissor, and a shaver/comb. I will say that this is HIGH quality! The angeled scissor is absolutely perfect for trimming your eyebrows. I used to use a tiny scissor that was supposed to be used for thread and had a hard time getting my left side (I'm right handed, go figure!). This scissor made it super easy to trim my left brow without being over done. I'm really impressed with the mini shaver attached to the brow comb, too. I always tried to use those shavers to shave the baby hairs growing in-between my threading sessions (usually 1-2 times a month. I go when my brows get REALLY wild). But this one is spectacular! It gave me great results with little effort. The little comb is great, too. It helped get my brow hairs in place to trim! I DEFINITELY recommend this little kit for your eyebrows. Especially to keep them maintained. Definitely HG for me.
