Hair Removal -Gillette - SatinCare Skin Soothing Shave Gel
nell_daisy 1/31/2010 8:43:00 AM
This is my favorite from the Satin Care line because it's fragrance free and has shea butter in it. My legs feel sooo smooth and aren't irritated after I shave when I use this. It's a cheaper shave gel but the best.

Scrubs -Tree Hut - Coconut Lime Scrub
nell_daisy 11/4/2009 8:49:00 PM
Smells delicious! This was a summer staple in my shower. I used it once or twice a week and it kept my skin smooth and soft. I ran out about a month ago and switched to another scrub. It is awful at exfoliating compared to this! My skin is getting flakey and dry. :( I cat wait to get my hands on another tub of this scrub. It's cheap and it is the best.

Concealers -Cover Girl - CG Smoothers Concealer

Very good under-eye concealer! I've been using high end concealers but nothing, including Benefit's erase paste, made them go away as well as this. I dotted this under my eyes a few times, blended, and wow. I could tell a major difference. The dark circles disappeared. The shade I got, fair, is much lighter than my skin tone but it blended in flawlessly. I don't think I would use this on blemishes, it's very creamy and would probably encourage breakouts.

Shampoo -Redken - Color Extend Shampoo
nell_daisy 10/30/2009 1:09:00 AM
It is an ok product. It cleans your hair, doesn't strip the color, doesn't weigh it down. However, not very moisturizing, doesn't add much shine, and I noticed some build up. I actually like Redken products, but everything I have tried from the color extend line was a bust.

Conditioner -Redken - Color Extend Conditioner
nell_daisy 10/30/2009 1:01:00 AM
This is one of those conditioners that you keep adding more and more condtioner to your hair because it doesn't feel soft enough, and then you end up going through all of your conditioner way faster than your shampoo. That would be because this conditioner isn't very moisturizing. Generally, conditioners targeted at color treated hair need to be extra moisturizing since color treated hair is damaged. This is not for damaged hair. If your hair is colored but not damaged, then this would be a good choice. I used this in conjunction with the shampoo and they did not strip my color or weigh down my hair. Also, it smells nice. Like a mixture of cranberries and laundry detergent. Sounds weird, but is suprisingly nice.

Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Nano Dual Flow Ceramic Hairdryer
nell_daisy 10/30/2009 12:29:00 AM
Excellent hair dryer. It does not get that hot, but that is a good thing. It has technology that dries your hair faster but keeps the heat down as to not damage your hair as much. My hair is shinier and smoother after I use this. These are expensive, but they have a 3 year warranty and it's worth saving the damage to your hair.

Shampoo -Kenra - Kenra Clarifying Shampoo
nell_daisy 10/25/2009 5:38:00 PM
I have finally found it! I have been wary of clarifying shampoos for the past two months because every time I have tried one, my lowlights fade! I use several styling products on my hair everyday, and need to use a clarifier. This is perfect! It got all the crap out of my hair but didn't dry it out and my color looks exactly the same, but shinier. Love this, will rebuy when I run out.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes
nell_daisy 10/16/2009 12:32:00 AM
I decided to start investing in make-up wipes because sometimes I am too tired and/or lazy to wash my make-up off at night. I've tried every brand at the drugstore. I have sensitive skin and found that some make-up wipes are too abrasive, or they do not get all of the make-up off. These are by far the most gentle AND effective. My skin is completely clear, even though I have been slacking in my nightly skin care routine. All because of these babies. I bought the blue container with the wipes in it and will definitely be stocking up on refills. These average between $5-8, depending on where you get them.

Conditioner -Redken - Real Control
nell_daisy 10/14/2009 9:58:00 PM
I have long, fine, damaged hair. This didn't do much in terms of moisturizing. I find myself drenching my ends with styling cream after I use this, trying to make them look smooth and soft. It didn't weigh down my hair, so that is good. It smells like a dryer sheet to me. Overall, average conditioner.

Foundations -LORAC - Natural Performance Foundation
nell_daisy 10/7/2009 12:23:00 AM
Bella nailed who would like this foundation. In addition to what she said, you must set this with a powder. I use BE's mineral veil and my face looks flawless all day. I love this foundation. It has a creamy texture and feels light on the skin. Offers medium coverage, but do not expect this to give you perfect skin if you need a lot of coverage. I work at a cosmetics store and not only customers but the make-up artists ask me questions about my foundation and skin care. I've noticed a lot more bottles of Lorac's foundation disappearing off of the shelves after I said this is what I use. lol Trust me, my skin is not perfect but people can't tell the difference when I wear this. I wear NP4. I have a light tan, neutral coloring. $35 at Ulta. I use this daily and am just now running out after five months. Well worth the money!

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Matte Foundation spf 15
nell_daisy 10/4/2009 10:04:00 PM
How the matte formula differs than the original foundation; -No bismuth. Good for those who broke out with the original formula. -Doesn't have that never ending shine that pops up throughout the day and requires blotting. Yay for those with combo or oily skin! -Oxidizes. Definitely. Enough to where whatever shade you wore with the original formula may be too dark. Also, shades seem more yellow. -Packaging. The sifter now has a cover that you turn to close over the holes. -Price. $28, whereas the original is $25. -Size. Matte 0.2 oz. Original 0.3 oz. -Some people are saying the original had more coverage, but I found the opposite was true for me. The matte version is perfect if you liked the original formula but did not like the shine. Also, if you weren't happy with the shades, try the new matte range out. They all seem to slightly differ from the original shades. I am still not too keen on the idea that I am paying more money for less product. I may just have to get over it, because I do love this new matte line. :) Hope this helped. I wear Medium Beige for reference. I have slightly tan, peachy skin.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Pro Tan Incredibly Black

Immediate results with this. I have to get darker foundation now. The bronzers don't stain or streak. And at $20, this is much more moisturzing than my Swedish Beauty and Designer Skin lotions which cost $40 and up.

Lip Gloss -Milani - Lip Mixer 703
nell_daisy 9/20/2009 11:58:00 PM
Instant love when I tried this.Beautiful shimmery peachy pink. Smells like candy. Moisturizing. It is not sticky and has good staying power. Lip Mixers are $6.99 at CVS, and I find myself reaching for this over my high end glosses. It looks so pretty with any make-up look, and makes me look tanner.

Shampoo -Schwarzkopf - Bonacure Color Save Shampoo
nell_daisy 9/5/2009 5:35:00 PM
Hands down, favorite shampoo. UV protection, sulfate free. It smells like a salon. This is the first shampoo I have used that I actually noticed a difference in color fading. It cleans, but doesn't strip the color. It moisturizes well, yet still gives oomph to my very fine hair. The matching conditioner is fantastic as well. I can't imagine using another shampoo now that I have tried this . =) HG.

Polishes -OPI - Dutch Tulips
nell_daisy 8/21/2009 11:58:00 PM
If I could only wear one nail polish for the rest of my life, this would be my pick. It's red enough to be classy, but pink enough to be fun. There's something sexy about this shade. It looks good with my work wardrobe, but if I want to put something more daring for the evening, this shade transfers perfectly.HG nail polish!
