Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Four Butter Mega Butter Body Butter
rated 4 of 5
mustangbaby 6/5/2006 9:24:00 PM

I bought this as a hopeful replacement for my much-loved Bath & Body Works LE Holiday Sweets Marshmallow body cream. Although this doesn't smell as yummy as the marshmallow one, it still smells delightful. I get a light, foody smell from this one that seems to last for a decent amount of time. It is very moisturizing and I like the fact that it has mango, aloe, avocado and shea butters in it. It leaves my skin very smooth and is great for putting on my feet before I go to bed at night. I paid $15 for a six-ounce tub, and I will more than likely buy again when I run out. I would recommend Mega Butter for those of you who are looking for a substitute for BBW's marshmallow body cream!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Holiday Sweets Gingerbread 3 in 1
rated 5 of 5
mustangbaby 12/8/2005 5:06:00 PM

I am so in love with this!! It smells just like freshly baked gingerbread; sooo delicious. At $14 for 16oz, it is two bucks cheaper than Philosophy, and does just as well of a job. Why oh why can't BBW carry this year round?!?!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Holiday Treats Hot Chocolate 3-in-1
rated 5 of 5
mustangbaby 12/8/2005 5:02:00 PM

This smells very true to it's name - just like a cup of hot chocolate. To my nose, it smells identical to Philosophy's Double Rich Hot Cocoa that I absolutely love(which is good, because when I run out of this one I can practically get the same thing with Philosophy). This one was $14 for 16oz, which is two bucks cheaper than Philosophy. I wish BBW would carry the 3-in-1's year round!!

Bronzers -Cargo - Cargo Bronzer in Medium
rated 5 of 5
mustangbaby 11/22/2005 11:23:00 AM

I got this as a gwp from Sephora back in July, and after looking at it, I was afraid it was going to be too dark for my PPP complexion. But after trying it on, I'm in love! It is very pigemented, so one light swipe across the surface with a brush is more than enough. It gives me such a natural glow, that I've been using it since then - and it's almost December! I'm going to buy the full-size when I run out.

Lip Gloss -Dessert Beauty - Holiday Treats Lipglosses
rated 4 of 5
mustangbaby 11/22/2005 11:21:00 AM

I wasn't very impressed with the regular Treats glosses, but the flavors in this set sounded sooo good. (At $15 for three glosses, it was a little more expensive than the Sweet Talk set, in which you got six glosses for $23). This set includes Cinnamon Hearts, Peppermint Swirl and Vanilla Ice Cream. I must say, these are true to their names. Cinnamon Hearts smells like ground cinnamon, and is so good for the holiday season coming up. Peppermint Swirl smells of peppermint and cherries, to me the cherry is more prominent. Vanilla Ice Cream reminds me of the homemeade icecream my grandma would always make during the summer. All three are very delcious flavors, and taste pretty good too. I think Jessica Simpson should make these flavors part of her regular Treats glosses line!

Scrubs -Dessert Beauty - Deliciously Kissable Sugar Scrub - Creamy
rated 1 of 5
mustangbaby 11/22/2005 11:19:00 AM

I bought this scrub from Sephora back in the summer when they had it marked down to $18. I was expecting to open up the jar and find the delicious Creamy fragrance that I love. Well, when this came in, I opened it up and almost gagged in disgust. It smells IDENTICAL to the oil that you would fry Krispy Kreme donuts in!! It made me want to vomit, just as the Sweet Butter did. Why anyone would want to kiss you after using this product is beyond me. If I hadn't had thrown my Sephora slip away, this would have gone back. I usually love Dessert products, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away from this one.

Lotions/ Creams -Dessert Beauty - Sweet Butter
rated 1 of 5
mustangbaby 11/22/2005 11:15:00 AM

I bought this from Sephora back in the summer when they had it marked down to $20. I was expecting to open up the jar and find a decadent buttercream frosting scent that made you want to eat it. Well, when this came in, I opened it up and almost gagged in disgust. It smells IDENTICAL to the oil that you would fry Krispy Kreme donuts in!! Absolutley no vanilla, no caramel and definatly no buttercream. The smell honestly made me want to throw up. But, since I had spent twenty bucks on it, I thought I should at least try it on my skin, if only just once. Yuck. My hands looked like I had dipped them in Crisco (and trust me, it smelled like it also). I had only used a little bit, and even with that I was scared to sit on my furniture for fear of staining it with a huge grease spot. If I hadn't had thrown my Sephora slip away, this would have gone back. I usually love Dessert products, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away from this one.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dr Feelgood
rated 1 of 5
mustangbaby 11/22/2005 11:13:00 AM

I got this as a gwp from Sephora, and I'm very glad I didn't shell out the cash for the full-size. This is supposed to be a mattifying balm, but for me it failed to live up to that claim. If anything, it made my skin get oily sooner! The product itself seems a tad bit greasy, so that might have contributed to the oiliness factor as well. I would suggest trying this first before commiting to a regular size tin - I think you'll be glad you did!!!

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Cinnamon Buns Lip Shine
rated 5 of 5
mustangbaby 11/20/2005 6:48:00 PM

This is wonderful lip product!! It smells good enough to eat; like the Cinnamon Buns 3-in-1. It gives your lips a beautiful shine and has pretty good staying power, not to mention tastes and smells delicious! You get a .50 ounce tube for ten bucks at Sephora. I hope Philosophy keeps making this after the holidays as well, so I can keep buying more:) Yummy!!

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Pumpkin Pie 3 in 1
rated 3 of 5
mustangbaby 11/9/2005 5:23:00 PM

I am a fanatic when it comes to anything pumpkin. When I found out Philosophy made a Pumpkin Pie 3-in-1, I was estatic. When I got this, I opened it up to take a whiff, and I was a little bit thrown off. The spice was definatly there, but I didn't detect any pumpkin at all. Don't get me wrong, it smells good but I was hoping for a true pumpkin pie scent. If you like spicy smells, this 3-in-1 is for you!

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
rated 2 of 5
mustangbaby 11/9/2005 5:17:00 PM

I really loved this product when I first started using it. It seemed to remove my eye makeup very well, and left my very oily skin "satisfactory" clean, not really anything special. But after I had been using it a few weeks, my makeup seemed to get harder and harder to remove. I ended up having better luck getting off my mascara with just plain water. And the rest of my face? It was like I didn't wash it all all. This cleanser might be good for some, but I think I'll have to pass on repurchasing.

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Strawberry Milkshake 3 in 1
rated 4 of 5
mustangbaby 11/9/2005 5:09:00 PM

I'm probably in the minority here, but I really do like this 3-in-1. To me it smells like the strawberries that they put in your milkshakes. I don't get the synthetic strawberry scent at all when I use it. The travel size is just $6 USD at Sephora, so it is worth a try if you're on the fence with this one!

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Cinnamon Buns 3-in-1
rated 5 of 5
mustangbaby 11/9/2005 5:04:00 PM

Mmmmm.....I LOVE this 3-in-1!! It is very true to its name - smells just like warm cinnamon buns. I definatly get a whiff of sweet frosting/icing in there too.I bought the travel sized bottle at Sephora for $6 USD, but I will be investing in the full-size bottle once I run out. This is a must have for the winter season. It's so delicious. Go out and get this AND the Cinnamon Buns Lip Shine!

Lip Gloss -Dessert Beauty - Dessert Treats Sweet Talk Set
rated 1 of 5
mustangbaby 10/28/2005 2:21:00 PM

I bought this set as a cheaper alternative to buying the full sized versions of the Treats glosses to see if I like them. Yuck. These glosses are terrible! They all have this weird chemical smell and taste that honestly makes my stomach turn. Not to mention it takes like 4 tries to get enough product to put on your lips. When you do get some out, the gloss is so watery and gritty that you have to go wipe it off. As far as pigment goes, these glosses have none, except for Lollipop. I absolutly love the original Dessert glosses (so yummy and gives sheer color to lips), but these are a joke. Save your money.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
mustangbaby 10/28/2005 2:10:00 PM

Oh my gosh!! How did I ever live without this stuff?? After waiting for this to get back in stock at Sephora, I had to try it. I have extremely oily lids, and most shadow is gone within two hours (including MAC shadows). This primer works like magic!! I can put some on at 8:00 in the morning, and by 5:00, my eyeshadow is still going strong.I can't believe it! Urban Decay could price this for twice the current amount (which is $14) and I would still buy it. You MUST try this if you have oily lids; you won't be able to live without it! Thanks UD!
