Bronzers -Tarte - Park Avenue Princess

This is the only bronzer that I've found works with my very pale skin. It doesn't look "muddy" or "orange" like most bronzers make me look. Instead it just give me a nice, subtle, bronze glow. I don't need to use much and I find it's great as a contour color. It DOES have a bit of shimmer and can look metalic if it's layered on too thick, but it you're doing that anyway you might want to check out Hotel Heiress which is not only darker in color, but seems to be slightly more pigmented overall. The packaging is cute and is kept together with a magnet. It's high quality, but I would personally prefer a normal compact formatting. I guess it makes it easy to find in my pile of makeup though. The price ($28) is what I think keeps a lot of people away. For myself it wasn't such a big issue considering how pale I am and how little I use at a time. I will be repurchasing this if I ever run out of it.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

I was excited to try out this blush because I'd heard so many great things about it... Bu I wasn't impressed. I have very pale skin and cool undertones (Which might explain my dissatisfaction, as this is a warmer blush), but even so this blush really didn't show up on me at all. It doesn't seem to have much pigmentation, but it does have quite a bit of glitter... I guess I'll just stick with my LM blushes for now.

Fragrances -Coty - Harajuku Lovers Fragrance - Music

I ended up only liking this scent out of the group, but I liked it enough to warrant a purchase. It's a light fruity scent that's great for the summer and smells absolutely wonderful on me. It's unfortunate that these were released so late in the year, since this one is definitely a summer fragrance.

Lotions/ Creams -Kinerase - Daily Defense Lotion SPF 30
rated 3 of 5

Everyone where I work got a complementary version of this, and while I love all of the other products by Kinerase, I'm not such a big fan of this one. Let me start out by saying that I'm not a fan of SPF in moisturizers, so I was a bit biased against it to begin with. The moisturizer applied okay, but it left a greasy feeling on my face, and unlike their thicker, Ultimate line, it didn't dry down very nicely. Against my hand my skin felt really silky smooth, yet I didn't like the actual texture on my face, and it looked quite shiny in the mirror. Instead of this I've actually been using the Ultimate night in light doses for the day as well, and just getting the SPF elsewhere. I won't be buying this.

Hair -Phyto - Phytospecific Relaxer Index 1
rated 1 of 5

I'm caucasian and bought phytospecific index 1 relaxer.... I left it in for OVER the max amount of time even after reading the instructions a few times. NOTHING HAPPENED! It just made my hair smell bad. No relaxing took place, my hair is just as curly as it always was. I've even taken before and after pictures to prove this point, which I will be posting soon. I'm sure this is nice for some women, but it just didn't work on me at all. :/

Fragrances -BeneFit Cosmetics - B Spot [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5

I love this fragrance. I certainly don't think it smells cheap, and as another person said, it's unoffensive so it's nice to wear everyday. The price is lower than most EDT, which isn't bad, considering that it lasts on my skin for about four to eight hours before it fades. The scent is supposed to be a mixture between a floral and citrus scent, but just turns out to be mostly floral on my skin, which is fine by me, since I'm a huge fan of floral notes. I wish the packaging didn't look that boring though.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
rated 2 of 5

I got this product from a friend along with a gift receipt. Thank God for that receipt, since I ended up having to return it immediately. First of all, the shade is too dark for me (I've also tested the PosieTint, but that one is too pink...), second, it burned. My skin isn't too sensitive. It has a reaction to a product every now and again (usually an itchy reaction), but I really wasn't expecting it to actually hurt. Applied to my cheeks results in the same way. I had to remove it and return it. I'm not sure if this is a common occurance or not, but it happened to me with both tints.

Mascara -LORAC - Visual Effects
rated 4 of 5

Frankly, I love this mascara. I'm surprised about the negative reviews, the brush definitely separates my lashes, and I haven't had any problems with picking up too much product. I love both the brush and the formula, and I get compliments on it every single day.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment
rated 5 of 5
munchlaxy 9/1/2008 10:45:00 PM

I got this product because I'm a burn victim, and I've heard that Eucerin was good to stop burn itching. I ended up getting both a version of Eucerin and this. This product not only moisturized, but stayed on for a long time and helped moisturize throughout the day. It also stopped most of the itching! Yay! I would definitely buy it again!

Moisturizers -Kinerase - Ultimate Night Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
munchlaxy 8/27/2008 2:10:00 PM

I have dry skin that's fairly sensitive, and I apsolutly love this product. It's thick and moisturizes throughout the entire night (though I also use it in the day since I'm not a big fan of their day moisturizer...) but doesn't feel heavy or make my skin look greasy. I haven't seen any of the added treatment benefits yet, but I also have young skin (20) that's in good condition. The price is a bit high, but I've tried about fifty other moisturizers on the market and haven't found a single one that does what this one does as well.

Treatments -Frederic Fekkai - Salon Glaze
rated 4 of 5
munchlaxy 8/27/2008 1:59:00 PM

I loved this product. My hair is short, curly, thick, and generally very dull. Innitially I wasn't too impressed. After one use I could see a slight difference, but not enough to warrent another purchase. I read on the back of the box that subsequent uses will result in more shine, so I tried it again. The second time I noticed a pretty big difference. It seemed to add on to what was already there. The third time I rinsed it with cold water and loved the result! Now my hair has a nice amount of shine in it, and looks much healthier without looking oily. The only reason I didn't give it five lippies is because of the price point, and how long the actual product lasts. I found that I didn't need to use much of the glaze, but it still goes pretty quick. If I had longer hair the price would be even more of an issue.
