Liquid -Christian Dior - DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF

This is the most beautiful foundation I have ever used. I have tried tons of foundations and this one is just flawless. For reference, I have oily, sensitive, and sometimes dehydrated skin. It doesn't accentuate pores, doesn't look oily or make me more oily, doesn't turn orange, and it lasts well. Its also nicley pigmented, so I only need one and a half pumps. Love the pump bottle! SPF 25 too! I am Mac N5 and I wear Linen. Update 1/5/08: Still loving this but I had the wrong shade. I looked orange in Linen. This seems to turn darker on the skin. I switched to 010 Ivory and I haven't had any trouble with oxidation. Update 1/20/08: This is breaking me out horribly. I don't think its oil-free. Tons of clogged pores.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
mu46032 10/18/2007 11:05:00 AM
I bought this product because the SA claimed that it would actually "clean out my pores" in addition to minimizing them. Initially, it felt great on my face. It made my skin really soft and smooth. After several days of use, however, my skin became really red and a bit irritated. It was hard to cover up the redness, even with foundation. I thought the redness would subside after more use, but it just got worse. Its too bad, because it did minimize my pores.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50

I have to start out by saying that I am not a fan of most MAC products, but I have found my HG primer/sunscreen/oil control lotion. This stuff really minimizes my pores and I am not super oily anymore!! Its truly amazing. Like another reviewer, I wear this over my Neutrogena Anti-Stress acne lotion (another HG). I bought this in combo with the EL Individualist foundation and it looks fantastic. I should add that I have never been able to wear sunscreen without breaking out until now!

This didn't work for me at all. First of all, it didn't control my oil at all - the main thing it is supposed to do! Secondly, it looked horrible under my foundation. I tried it under liquid and powder foundation (lots of different brands and types). The only good thing about this product is that it didn't dry out or irritate my skin.

This is a really great basic foundation for oily skin. Contrary to some other reviews, I find that this foundation has great coverage. It looks very natural and doesn't make me break out or feel heavy. I find that it doesn't accentuate dry spots either. I mix this with Clarins UV Plus 40 sunscreen and top it off with Clarins Shine Stopper Pressed Powder, also great stuff. UPDATE: This irritates my face on occasion, which is stange, considering its supposed to be "pure." I've also noticed lately that this makes my pores look huge and I get more oily.

I'm 36 years old and I've been dealing with acne for most of my life. I've been on Accutane twice and I now have sensitive skin with occasional break outs. This product have been a lifesaver for me. Its incredibly hard to find gentle acne products that work. This one really works! I started using 3 in 1 a couple of weeks ago when my prescription Tazorac .05% gel made my face beet red and irritated. This is perfect. It gets rid of the redness and keeps my pores clear. Best of all, NO irritation. Right now, I only use this at night. Its very elegant feeling, not cheap like a lot of drugstore products. For $6.99 its really worth a try.

Powder -Prescriptives - AnyWear Multi-finish compact foundation
mu46032 6/21/2007 10:21:00 AM
Compared to other high end powder foundations, I think the coverage is pretty minimal. I have redness, not lots of acne, and it didn't even cover my redness very well. Also, my usual shade, Vellum, looked very orange on me. This might work as a pressed powder, not a foundation, if you can find a color match. Will not repurchase.

Liquid -Clarins - Truly Matte Foundation
mu46032 5/21/2007 2:02:00 PM
If you have really, really oily skin this is the perfect foundation. It gives nice natural medium coverage and a matte (not cakey) finish that lasts all day. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate or dry out my skin. The best part is that I don't feel the need to wash my face in the middle of the day anymore; there is no gunky/oily foundation buildup with this one. Has SPF 15 too! UPDATE: Colors are way off on this foundation. All shades are too orange. Wish this worked for me because I really like the formulation. UPDATE #2: I was obsessed with making this foundation work for me because it really is excellent for very oily skin. I ended up buying the lighest shade 01 Linen. Works great, not too dark at all. So, be warned that the shades run dark.

Chanel foundations are always too red or orange, this one included. I am LLL and I bought Cameo (1.0). I agree with other reviewers who said this looks greasy and slides off. It doesn't give much coverage and the smell is overwhelming (perfumey). I am actually surprised that more people were not bothered by the smell. I will not repurchase.

Foundations -Prescriptives - Virtually Fresh-All [DISCONTINUED]

I am a big fan of PX Virtual Skin, so I was excited when they came out with this foundation. I was really disappointed. The color match was good, and consistent with my Virtual Skin Real Champagne, but the formulation is very poor. Ironically, it doesn't feel fresh at all. It looked and felt really greasy on my skin (even when freshly applied). At the end of the day I looked like a grease pit even though its supposed to be oil-free. It also felt kind of sticky. The only thing I like about this is the tube packaging.

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash
mu46032 3/23/2007 8:57:00 AM
Years ago Maybelline made a mascara called Lash-By-Lash that I loved. Define-A-Lash reminds me alot of Lash-By-Lash. It gives great length and definition, but not much volume. It has a brush similar to CG Lash Exact, but I like this one better. It really doesn't clump and has good staying power. I only wish they made this in a waterproof formula because I have very oily skin and I am always worried about my mascara melting off. So far this has not melted off; I'll update when the weather gets warmer. For $7 its a great buy!

Liquid -Maybelline - Superstay Silky foundation ]
mu46032 2/7/2007 2:10:00 PM
I loved the way this foundation looked. Unfortunately, it managed to break me out horribly AND dry me out at the same time???? This stuff really clogged my pores. I'm sure it was the foundation because my breakout was rash-like. Its too bad because it really does give that airbrushed matte effect. UPDATE: I'm giving this one another try because it gives truly incredible, natural coverage. It restores my confidence when I'm having a bad breakout. I cant say that about any other foundation!

Shampoo -Redken - Color Extend Shampoo
mu46032 10/24/2006 10:55:00 AM
I have the new formulation of this shampoo and I love it. I have fine, higlighted hair that tends to get oily and easily weighed down. I wash my hair every day and this doesn't strip my color yet my hair feels very clean after using this. I rarely feel the need to use a clarifying shampoo. The conditioner in this line is also really nice.

Concealers -Prescriptives - Flawless Skin Total Protection Concealer

Before trying Flawless Skin concealer I was using YSL Touch Eclat, which I love. I just thought I might need more coverage and the reviews for this one were good, so I decided to try it. On me, this was very obvious and caked up easily. I tried this only under my eyes and it really accentuated fine lines. I'm going back to Touch Eclat.

Treatments -Chanel - Purete Ideale Serum Intense Refining Skin Complex
mu46032 8/24/2006 9:21:00 AM
I love this serum. It feels so luxurious and smells great. I don't wear moisturizer because I have very oily skin and I love the way this feels under my newest HG - Chanel Teint Universal foundation. I consider this a primer and a treatment. My skin has never felt smoother or looked healthier. I think I paid around $67. You only need one small pump for whole face. I only wear this in the am under my foundation.
