Polishes -Essie - Van d'Go

The colour of this polish is beautifuuuul! Probably one my favourite out of all the colours I've got - and people always seem to be asking what colour it is when I'm wearing it. However, I usually end up having to do a coat of another sheer pale pink polish over the top of it to mute down the yellow-ness it develops after a top coat :( Which is really a shame because it's a lovely colour and it shouldn;t need a coat of a different polish over the top to make it look decent. Contrary to other people on here, I actually found the formula ok.. maybe I got a good bottle? It wasn't too runny, nor too thick but still slightly streaky. Took about 3 coats to get it opaque. On the whole, I think it's a great colour and will definitely repurchase, but still a bit disapointed with the yellowness :(

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

I got this a couple of weeks ago, just really out of curiosity and because it was on offer at £6. I've never really been a fan of Maybelline mascaras, and didn't really expect much of it as it just looked like another gimicky thing. When I first tried it out I wasn't impressed at all, but now after using it more often, I absolutely adore it!! It gives good length and after a few coats - great volume! My lashes are really fine and short but this did wonders for them, even better than my all time fave Lancome Hypnose :)! And although I don't usually go for the big brushes because they seem to chunky for my baby lashes, I actually really like the brush on this as it seems to get into all your lashes really really well. I also found that if you apply a thin coat of another mascara first before you start with this one, it gives an amazing result! It doesn't clump over the top of the other mascara and the volume you get is amazing! I tried this out a wee while ago but had to remove it all and start over before I went out because the result was just too much for daytime :) Anyway I will definitely be buying this mascara again, and strongly reccomend it as it's on offer at alot of places now :)

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ed Hardy Perfume - Love Kills Slowly Women's EDT
rated 4 of 5

I bought this about a month ago without even smelling it (they ran out of testers), just because they were selling the gift set, just like the one in the picture, for £45 which I thought was a total bargain considering the price of the 100ml bottle on it's own. Anyway, I took it home kinda worried I wasn't going to like it but as soon as I spritzed it I totally fell in love with the smell :) I'm usually not a big fan of very fruity floral sweet frangrances but this really is lovely. The staying power is also brilliant! Much better than I expected, as it lasts all day through school and I can still smell traces on my wrist when I get back home. I'll definitely get this again :D

Fragrances -Paco Rabanne - Black XS for Her

I'm on my second bottle of this, as I absolutely adore the smell of it :) I've never smelt another perfume like it, so it's quite unique to me. It's nice and girly and sweet, but sightly woody as well. The only thing is it seem to dissapear so quickly on me :( 2hrs after I've put it on it;s completely gone. However, I think I'm going to buy one of the deodarant-like can things of it on the internet and just carry one of them around in my bag with me as it really does smell too good to stop buying cos of the lasting power!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 5 of 5

I could never live without this little wonder! My lips seemed to be forever chapped so I've tried nearly every lip balm under the sun but this is by far the best i've ever had and it's the only one I buy now. I used to always use Carmex, but this realy is much much better as Carmex ends up drying my lips out again once it's wore off, wheras this doesn't do that. Burts Bees always leaves my lips really soft, and I love the smell of it :) The texture of it is really thick and waxy which is great, but I prefer it in the tube cos I find it hard to get out of the tin because of this. Anyway I would definitely reccomend this and will keep buying over and over again!

Toners -Simple - Soothing Skin Toner

Great product, does it's job without irritating my skin and it prevents spots. I even use it just as a cleanser when I'm too tired to wash my face properly and it does a great job of that too!

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Shine Control Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5
mo5050 2/6/2010 7:33:00 PM

I'm really surprised that this has such low reviews, just because I absoloutely adore this moisturiser. It's perfect for my skin (oily, but gets dry SO easily) and I don't think I'll ever switch from this. It's very light in texture, but it makes my skin so beautifully soft! It;s not heavy or greasy at all but it still moisturises great so it;s a definite keeper for me :) Tbh, I haven't really noticed any 'shine control', but it hasn't made my oily skin any worse for sure, so that's good enough for me!

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
rated 3 of 5
mo5050 2/6/2010 7:29:00 PM

This is the first powder foundation I've tried, but I think it's great. It gives good coverage and gives you a nice matte finish but still has a nice natural sheen to it which looks good. The lasting power is excellent as well, as it lasts a full school day on me with my oily skin with no touch ups or anything. I'm on my second one of these, but might see if there's a cheaper just-as-good option after I'm finished with this one because it is expensive for what you get. My first one only lasted me about 3 months (I can usually make a foundation last about 6), and I hit the bottom of the pan really quickly. However, it is a good foundation and I would reccomend it.

Polishes -Revlon - Tropical Temptation
rated 3 of 5
mo5050 2/6/2010 7:20:00 PM

The colour of this polish is to die for! It actually seems to come out brighter than it looks in the pot, but I love it :) It also looks great layered over a mid-pink polish for a nice pink-coral colour. The only vice I have with this is it seems to go really streaky on me :( even with 3 coats it can still look a little dodgy sometimes, I'm not sure if it's down to the formula or because the brush is a bit thin (although my other Revlon polishes have been ok). However, I would definitely buy this again, especially for the summer when I get more of a tan!

Blush -MAC - Blushcreme - Lilicent ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
mo5050 2/6/2010 7:15:00 PM

My all time favourite blusher :) It's a gorgeous colour and gives a nice natural flush, but you can layer it up for a bolder look if you want. I apply it with a regular blusher brush and it goes on like a dream, no streaking or patches! I would definitely re-purchase this although I can tell it's going to last me a looong time! I've had it for over a year and there's still plenty left in the pan to get me through at least another 2!

Mascara -Clinique - Naturally Glossy Mascara
rated 4 of 5
mo5050 2/6/2010 7:08:00 PM

The best natural-looking mascara I've ever tried! Gives good length and makes my super short lashes look very pretty indeed. It doesn't clump or smudge at all either, would definitely repurchase!
