FABULOUS .. what more can you say ??? I had just finished my Aesop Camelia nut moisturiser and was on the hunt for something different. Came across the great reviews for this cream and having already used their oils and serums thought "Of Course !"... Got 20% off at Priceline which brought the price down to $32 AUS which is a steal really for the size. Has pump which is great and best of all is just a brilliant product. Leaves skin moist and plump without feeling at all greasy. Excellent base for makeup too. My whole skincare now is almost entirely Trilogy. Excellent products, great company.

Liquid -Chanel - Perfection Lumiere
rated 1 of 5

I had two samples of this (admitedly neither color matched so i mixed them together for a passable result...) to no avail really.... this foundation is pretty awful. I thought it might be similar to the lovely Double Matte foundation they discontinued years ago but this is so dry that i can only imagine the oiliest of skins having any success with this. I looked like a had a really ugly tight dry mask face on and immediately washed it off and put on my covergirl natureluxe.... a much better foundation for a fraction of the cost. Sorry Chanel, but unless you reformulate, you'll be discontinuing this one too.

Polishes -Essie - BBF Boy Best Friend
rated 5 of 5

Have to agree.. this shade is gorgeous. Love many of Essies neutral nudey pink shades but this one takes the cake. Super shiny, 2 coats gives a very polished 'your nails but better' look. I will definately be buying more of this shade as i can see this bottle being used up very quickly. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

Blush -Ben Nye - Blush
rated 5 of 5

I have this in Natural as well and it is the perfect (dare i say it) "natural" blush I have been searching for. I use it everyday and it even beats out my many Nars blushers. The color looks drab and pale in the pan so I was pleasently surprised at the color pay-off. Don't be fooled, this one has HG status . Ben Nye makeup is incredible...think I might try Victorian Rose next .

Concealers -Ben Nye - Total cover all wheels
rated 5 of 5

I think I've found it...my quest for a wonder concealed may be over !! I use the 100 wheel (darker than the 200) and all the colors in the wheel address my needs, areas of redness as well as dark circles under the eyes. I find the texture fabulous ...it stays put and doesn't seem all that thick to me , although compared to a normal liquid stick concealer I guess some would find it too heavy. But personally, I want my concealer to be thick enough to cover AND stay put so a slightly thicker formulation is fine by me. I use this under my eyes with no problems and boy does it cover my bags. Life saver !! I just ordered a whole lot of Nye products and they are dirt cheap and excellent quality and will save me a fortune on my usual high end makeup purchases. What a shame more cosmetic junkies aren't aware of this wonderful brand. Highly recommended and really for the price, what have you got to lose ??

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse
rated 5 of 5
matt44bek 3/28/2011 7:44:00 AM

I have been reading makeup alley reviews for years without contributing a review but I feel that this foundation deserves a good wrap !! I have combo skin and thought based on other reviews that this would be too oily for me. Indeed I have used the matte mousse for years and found it great for full coverage and longevity so was a bit hesitant to try the new smooth mousse but boy was I super impressed with it. First the color #240 natural beige is the best color I have ever found in any foundation line...and trust me I've tried them all, secondly the coverage is lovely...just enough to cover imperfections and redness without being as heavy as it's matte counterpart. The finish is great too , very soft and glowy. I do tend to put a light dusting of powder over the top just to set but I do that with nearly all foundations so that's no big deal. I don't use the sponge included but just warm some foundation up in my fingers and apply like that, using the natural warmth from my hands. I wish it was a little cheaper in Australia but once I know my color I tend to scour eBay for cheaper items anyway. I will definitely be using this daily now...until my next favorite foundation comes along, but needless to say I am extremely happy with how this foundation makes my very ordinary complexion look !! Give it a try !!

Foundations -L'Oreal - LOreal AGE PERFECT SKIN SUPPORTING HYDRATING
rated 5 of 5
matt44bek 12/7/2007 7:05:00 AM

This is a great product. After reading all the makeup alley reviews i thought i'd give this a go (although being only in my early 30's i was reluctant to buy a 'mature age' foundation).....however the feel and colour of this foundation has completely won me over !!!! I am an NC35 and i bought honey beige which gives me this gorgeous caramel/honey "glowy" coloured skin (actually goes on the face a touch lighter than it looks in the jar). Will definately repurchase.

I love and own other Prada fragrances but this one was a bust !!! Awful. I couldnt get the smell out of my nose all day and it became really irritating. I guess i expected something warm and soft like tendre but i found this to be quite crisp & sharp....glad i tested it first !!
