Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - E45 Cream
rated 5 of 5

I use this on my dry cheeks and I also use it on my eyebrows as I have a horrible skin condition there - my eyebrows (thickest part) shed their skin every day and it flakes off if I don't add E45 every day to them. It is really gentle and doesn't cause a reaction. Also really good value for money!!

Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap - Mild
rated 2 of 5
madelinekay 4/23/2012 2:32:00 PM

I received this as a freebie from the Clinique counter with a purchase. It was easy to use and doesn't have a strong smell. I used it on my sensitive skin and it made my skin dry and sore. So I don't waste the product, I just use this on my forehead and chin, as they are not so sensitive.

Lips -LUSH - A Million Kisses
rated 5 of 5
madelinekay 4/15/2012 2:18:00 PM

This is a ruby red lip tint, priced about £5 from UK stores. It has a bluey tint so it good for making the teeth look whiter and is slightly moisturising. It also smells like roses. The only downside is the tin that it comes in makes it hard to apply and you then have the tint on your finger!!

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Curious by Britney Spears
rated 5 of 5
madelinekay 2/27/2012 8:15:00 AM

This perfume has been out for a long time yet I am still really liking it. My mother and friend have it and I have a little spray when i'm round there! I saw it for £7.99 in my local B&M it included body souffle and shower gel. The perfume is 30ml. This is very affordable so I treated myself. The fragrance is hard to describe - its sweet and slightly musky but also young and happy. The bottle is very pretty and would be nice to display, although I keep mine in the drawer to keep sunlight off it. Don't let Britney put you off!

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
rated 4 of 5
madelinekay 2/23/2012 6:24:00 AM

Purchases this as I'd heard positive comments on this and a hairdresser applied some to my hair and I liked the result. (Although she's done a Moroccanoil mask and shampoo and it was straightened). It smells lovely but isn't easy to get out of the bottle as it was a small bottle without a pump. I got the small size just to try as it is so expensive. I apply it to the lengths and ends. It surprisingly does reduce drying time and makes my hair really soft without being at all greasy. I would probably buy this again if I can't buy an alternative product with argan oil in it. Very expensive though but it will probably last ages and I can share it.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Magic Mushroom bubble bar
rated 2 of 5
madelinekay 2/6/2012 10:12:00 AM

I wanted to like this product so much. I love strawberries and vanilla and bubbles - i tried superstar recently which is similar and loved it. Sadly, this product did not have a strong smell to it - I was sitting in the bath and couldn't smell it. The only positives are that it makes nice bubbles and turns the bathwater a nice colour. Very disappointed.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - golden wonder bath bomb
rated 5 of 5
madelinekay 2/3/2012 8:12:00 AM

This is my favourite bath bomb. It is a large cube made to look like a gift covered in gold shimmer. It smells like orange oil and has other things in it like lime and cognac oil. Smells so refreshing and keeps its fragrance. It makes the bath shimmery and has soluble gold stars in it. It is good value for money compared to most bombs as its quite large and has a strong fragrance. The bomb makes the bath gold then blue! Think its discontinued now sadly as it was a christmas item.

Got this in a gift set for Christmas. Smelled like apples before it went in the bath, but when it went in and dissolved I couldn't smell a thing. Bear in mind, this costs £2-3 individually. I'm pleased i didnt waste my money!

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
rated 4 of 5
madelinekay 12/8/2011 7:03:00 AM

I've been hearing about and seeing this product for years but haven't gone ahead and purchased one due to the cost and lack of colour varieties. I have found that no.1 is too pinky/light and no.2 is too dark for my skin. I discovered that there are now extra shades and Debenhams was doing 15% extra off, so I decided to buy no1.5 which has is slightly darker and is a 'nicer' colour than no.1. Also my cheap concealer had run out. I mainly use it as a concealer for my under eye grey/blue circles. This blends right into my skin which is nice, but is slightly cakey. Nevertheless, I still like it and would probably repurchase. Also the packaging is nice and glam and the brush is useful.

Lipstick -Elizabeth Arden - Eight Hour Sheer Tint SPF 15- Blush
rated 4 of 5
madelinekay 9/22/2011 6:03:00 AM

Purchased this as I tend to get dry lips and they also turn a horrible bluey colour in the cold weather, which, in the North East UK is nearly everyday!! I have used eight hour balm before and quite like the smell. It has a rich consistency and I feel my lips are softer and protected. Also the colour is subtle enough - the colour in the tube is very bright but this is not the case when applied. It stays on for quite a while compared to lip balm and has a gorgeous sheen to it, which is not quite as shiny as a gloss but makes lips look lovely and moist! My hair does not stick to it! The packaging looks expensive and I like the fact this is in a tube so it's easy to apply.

Powders -Clinique - Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder
rated 3 of 5
madelinekay 1/13/2011 1:28:00 PM

I bought this as I have pink cheeks and I like to hide them. I use a green concealer and a medium coverage foundation. Then I use this on top to set the make up. I was suprised to see this was yellow, although it doesn't look yellow when applied. The brush they give with this is rubbish - your better off buying a decent one yourself. This stays on all day - I know this because my make up remover pad is yellow !! This was £24 - the most i've ever spent on an item of make up. I wouldn't buy it again though.

Concealers -Barry M - Corrector pen
rated 4 of 5
madelinekay 12/18/2010 2:52:00 PM

I got this in the shade Ivory, from a catalogue for £6. I was unable to get a tester to try out the colour so just had to take a chance. Luckily it's a good colour for me; pale, but not so pale that my dark circles look pasty and grey. I had some warmth in it. The other colours available are almond and peach. Would ideally buy the YSL Touche Eclat but this is a cheap alternative.

Skincare - Body -LUSH - Heavanilli Massage Bar
rated 5 of 5
madelinekay 11/6/2010 7:34:00 AM

This smells just like the Vanillary perfume, vanilla powder puff powder and Creme Brulee bath bomb, all of which I have and love. It melts in your hand straight away which is good. I can't see it lasting a long time though. The only con for me is it's quite expensive.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Snow Fairy Lip Tint
rated 2 of 5
madelinekay 11/5/2010 2:28:00 PM

The design of this product means that you have to put your finger in and press quite hard to get enough on, which is quite a pain. It would be better in a wind-up stick. The colour (hot pink) is very nice on my skintone (pale, freckles) although I was hestitant at first. You can put a thin layer on or build it up for deeper colour. I can't detect a smell of flavour to this. It would've been nice for it to smell like Snow Fairy. Sadly, this isn't as moisturising as I would like so I wouldn't buy it again. Needs to be combined with lip balm.

Treatments -Paul Mitchell - Super Strong Treatment
rated 2 of 5
madelinekay 11/1/2010 6:08:00 AM

I purchased this as I like PM products and it was only £2 in the sale at a salon. I know this doesn't work as a conditioner but it didn't really improve my hair.
